I have noticed a severe rust issue under the rear spoiler of my VIVA .I would like to advice all the viva premium owners to check for rust under the rear spoiler.
-
yes exactly.
-
I noticed that you have posted the same question in Ela*kir*.com. from the answers given there you can have a basic idea how the typical sri lankan market behaves . most of the people have advised not to go for the A18 without giving a proper explanation and simply followed the herding instinct.
-
No, if you do not satisfy one of above conditions the vehicle does not come under dual purpose category a) No,although the weight is less than 3500kg you have exceeded the No of seats b)No, you have exceed the weight
-
how could Hybrid car prices increase since since there is no change in the tax applied to Hybrid vehicles
-
No need to convert into the new number system, if your vehicle comes under above criteria (<3500kg and <9 passengers) you can drive it with normal dual purpose license.
-
Yes that's why they change the number system for vehicles which came under light lorry category was given numbers from PP and above(D*MO batta,Mahindra single cab, and etc.)
-
According to the motor traffic act "Dual purpose Motor vehicle of which Gross Vehicle Weight does not exceed 3500 kilograms and the seating capacity does not exceed 9 seats inclusive of the driver’s seat, which may be combined with a trailer of which maximum authorized tare does not exceed 750 kilograms; motor vehicles in this class include an invalid carriage. And all cars where the seating capacity does not exceed 9 seats inclusive of the Driver’s seat." can be driven with the normal riving licence with class C1,C it is not constrained according to the number. eg smart cabs with L numbers can be driven with a normal dual purpose license.

What is the advantage of the dual battery setup?

I only commented on the 850cc variant where only very few numbers where sold. To my knowledge 850cc variant doesn't share many components with the 1000cc elite version. That's why I cautioned about spare parts based on my previous experience back in 2008 . I fully agree with both of you. I also believe that Viva 1000cc is the best option when compared Indian and Chinese cars in the similar category.
-
Again I have to caution you . I experienced lots of issues with my 1000CC VIVA back in 2008 when sorting out parts from agent and from outside. Even tires where not available. Since very few numbers will be sold in SL you might face issues with spares.
-
Viva 850cc might be under powered. You can also face spare parts unavailability in the open market
-
Nothing to worry about still we can find ample spares for Kelisa. I think they are going to launch Perodua Axia in SL

Viva Elite Fuel Consumption-Manual Transmission
peugeot407 replied to Nadeeshabey's question in General
yes this is the bitter truth about the viva although people believe it is fuel efficient it's not. best method to get the average fuel consumption is averaging the end of the month fuel consumption. this will minimize minor errors in the volume when pumping full tank ( this error can be much large as a liter) -
Viva Elite Fuel Consumption-Manual Transmission
peugeot407 replied to Nadeeshabey's question in General
For me usual urban fuel consumption of manual 1000cc viva is around 10kmpl. Don't hope for a drastic increase on the millage after the service. This what company guys says to simply slip away from the false figure they say to promote the car. -

peugeot407 replied to Rajitha4774's question in Car Buying Information
Since you have no budget constrains no point of going for a permit vehicle you can buy a Mercedes GL class which will satisfy both your requirements -

My Car Stops Suddenly, Need A Help - Mitsubishi C62A (Asp Model)
peugeot407 replied to Iroshw's question in General
This is common in ignition coils. I can remember when Morris minor gave us ignition coil trouble driver used to keep a wet cloth on top of the coil to cool it down. we used to call it "Una bassanawa". -
How did you get it down to SL. because most of the sellers either doesn't ship to SL or shipping rate is very high
-
Viva has a cable clutch. If your fluid level is within the stipulated range you don't have to worry. Usually fluid level goes down as break pads wears.

Please ask Mr Chandrasiri Bandara.

Price is not a parameter to measure quality. Even word quality does not have a exact definition if you want further clarification about quality please refer to the work of Proff Deming. Here I commented based on my user experience I have used both the brands(pirelli,Michelin) for me Michelin outperformed Pirelli. Also I would like to mention that Pirelli is a tire brand that failed in sri lanka for at least two times. If you want buy Michelin it,s available at all the leading tire stores in Colombo and the agent is D*M*
