  1. Hi everyone, I need to get a rear view mirror monitor and reverse camera installed to my vehicle. I asked from several places and most of them have the 7 inch display unit. But what i want is a display which looks exactly like a rear view mirror in size and shape, and has a smaller 3.5 or 4.3 inch display. Like the one in this link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-3-LCD-Car-Rear-View-mirror-monitor-Wireless-IR-Reverse-Backup-Camera-Kit-/121042923173 One place i called(s#n L#nka) has similar model but they ask 25000/= for it (with reverse camera and installation). They said it has dvr and Bluetooth too. Is 25000/= too much for this unit? if it is, can anyone tell me where i can get one installed for reasonable price..? Thanks in advance.

  3. Hi everyone, I own a 2007 Mazda 3 and i love it. It handles well and fun to drive. And it seems there are many hidden features in this car that is fun to discover. The first one i found is the Trip Computer which was hidden in my car., and i unlocked it with the help of this thread: http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/4873-unlocking-the-trip-computer-in-mazda-3/ and thanks Dinu for the tip. few days ago i was searching YouTube on how to replace the cabin air filter., i came across with this video: According to the video., we can do some cool tricks with the audio system by pressing combinations of two buttons simultaneously. Power button + Media button --> changes the temperature unit between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Power button + Up Seek button --> causes all the letters/digits in the information display to come on Power button + Clock button --> according to the video, this kind of locks the keypad. but in my case, apart from locking the keypad, it shows the name of the key when i press a key. for an example, when i press the Media button in this mode, the display shows "Media". Power button + 2 (RANDOM) button --> gives a signal-strength meter of the current radio frequency. Power button + Tuning button --> causes the sound to go around in circles, one speaker at a time. this is the coolest feature and i always confuse my friends with this. By holding the Audio Control button for 2-3 seconds, you can clear all the previous audio settings (Bass, Treble, Fade, Balance) and set everything to 0. Hope this information is helpful and if you guys know any other cool-hidden features of any car, please share.. Enjoy..
  4. janithck, i have a 2007 mazda 3 and i got one of the rear shocks replaced 2 years ago. I also checked the prices with c**m**t but they quoted 16000/= or so for one piece. so i decided to go for a KYB. so far no issues. it cost me 8500/= 2 years back. Got it from a place at Hyde Park Corner.

  18. Hi Everyone, I am searching for the owner's manual for 1999 Toyota Hiace DX. I tried google but couldn't find. Does anyone have the manual or can anyone tell me where to look.. Thanks in advance.
  19. Oh SH*T..!! You found out..??
  20. Sadly, I couldn't find a tube smaller enough to do the job. Even if i find one, it is not easy to navigate the end of it inside the light. So I tried inserting a wire and loosen the flies stuck in the edges: It is difficult to point the end of the wire to where I want to.So as Hoonigan said, I'm gonna leave it as it is now. I removed most of the dead flies. Here's how it looks now: Looks better than how it was before: Have to do the other side as well. Thanks everyone for the valuable ideas.
  21. Thanks Rumesh and Hoonigan for replying. Boot lid seals well. Those flies were there for few years. They were there when we bought the car from the previous owner. May be he is the one who's responsible for the miserable death of those flies.. I searched again and again, couldn't find a place where flies can come in. I can seal the openings of the light but the issue is only the brake light is LED. Turning signal light is a normal bulb. So would it cause a problem if i seal off those openings..??
  22. Thanks for the reply Davy. Yeah that might be possible. Have to try that. Openings to the inside of the light are in the brake light. Not in the turning signal light. There are 8 LEDs and there's a space around each LED which is large enough to a fly to get in. I somehow managed to get most of them out through that space. But there are some flies stuck in the outer line of the light. As Davy said, if i can insert a small tube inside, I might be able to get them out as well. Here's the image of the opening from the back of the housing: Thanks everyone for the valuable ideas.
  23. Ha haa.. That is a good option.. but the problem is, flies are already dead..
