  1. Bike is great but the riding gear is very primitive compare to the bikes, I do not know how they imported them, registered and ride on the road if SL have 250cc limit
  2. How can they import and ride if they are over 250cc?
  3. Hi I am not a Motor bike fan, I used to own few bikes and I really loved to own a CD 200 or CD 185 those days. Here in Australia I came across a one of my work mates owns three bikes, Triumph Daytona, Suzuki Hayabusa and a Ducati(can not remember the model). As a motor bike fans you guys should do a internet search for Suzuki Hayabusa GSX 1300R. This a awesome bike with 195hp. This guy manage to reach over 150kmph on a second gear. He got record of doing at 250kmph illigally. They have a Hayabusa clubs operating globely it is amasing how much money they spend to modify the bikes(such a replacing original body parts with Carbon Fibre etc. You can try following link. http://www.topspeed.com/motorcycles/motorcycle-reviews/suzuki/2010-suzuki-hayabusa-gsx1300r-ar65798.html
  4. I did not have a choice to sell it because I came to a bit rural area so finding a car alone could have been a problem. Good thing is I surprised truckies in very remote servos when I filled up from trucking bays. They always asked me,"Are you sure you using the right juice". I have seen the same model in Brisbane some Sri Lankan lived in Japan brought that car into Australia. So we had two exotic cars parked in front of a Sri Lankan party.
  5. Hi all Few more photos. First one is easy one. Try second and the third
  6. Hi I am not a Alfa fan. But have a look this old Alfa is ready for a big race. I don't know what's the model is but defineitly 70s /i.imgur.com/TuIFT.jpg" alt="" title="Hosted by imgur.com" .
  7. Sorry mate. Not in SL. This was a Japanese Import to NewZealand after running 112000km in Japan. Then I used it in NZ for 2 yrs and bought to Australia. I have been using this for nearly 10 yrs. Never taken to Toyota for servicing. Every 5000km I do a engine oil change and every 10000 filter and oil. I took this only once to a mechanic in Aussi about 2 yrs ago to check everything including all the fluids and auto transmission oil and replace timing belt and water pump. He replaced one of the belts that driving the pullies in the front of the engine. No gasket change or injector cleaning what so ever. It needed to replace the front CV boots twice. When I did it for second time mechanic asked me to replace the CV joint only on that side. I have origianl CV joint still on the other side. What my experience is if you open up the engine or anything, that going to cause more problems. Use the correct consumables (such as air filter, Diesel filter etc). But I never used original oil filters for this car.
  8. Hi I have a Disel CE 110 (1995 model), 225000km on the clock. Other than replacing the timing belt and water pump(at the same time) nothing done on it. Going very strong. I think Shock absorbers and suspnesion related bushes need to be changed if I need the old comfort.
  9. Spot on MeanGreen. There are no RX 7s. It is amasing that you picked up the Mosler even car is pulled in to parts. Unfortunatly I can not load anymore photos otherwise there are more to come.

  13. Good advice mate If this Pajero and Montero is the same(No Monteros in Australia) I go with your advice. Two of my freinds got petrol pajeros(latest version), they love it. One of these guys have a X5 as well. But they very happy with the Pajero(Montero) because of the technology foldable hideaway third row and good space. We did a allday long trip to Melbourne ( 736 km) and back on a (I guess it was a 2004 or 05 model) occupying all 7 seats and enough luggage for 4 nights stay. No trouble at all. Plenty of power in overtaking.
  14. By Meomory I remember we all wear the seat belts. I will comfirm it during the easer break. They are coming down to my place in their Prado
  15. Hi I think I confused You. Just have a look on the photos in Dream Machines photo update 1 and 11(they are two different topics).
  16. 2,3,3, We were two families went on a short trip, each family got 4 members.
  17. Hi All Can U guys identify the cars in Dream Machine photo Update I and II. Just list them down if U are interested. I would give the correct answer in two weeks
  18. Hi all I could not put all the photos in the first update. Here we go with the rest
  19. Hi All It was very thrilling to watch the actions in the Clipsal 500 race. There were formula 3 , Australian GT , V8 races and Holden ute burnouts, Ducati Motor bike burn out, wheeling, riding on the front wheel etc. Holden Ute burn out with bit of dragging was amazing. Two utes did burn outs in the 3 lane track nearly missing the safty walls. In few seconds cars disappear in the smoke. Other interesting thing is to watch low flying F-18. Airforce F-18 flying just above the tree line at supersonic speed was mind blowing. Then it did a slow flying session that some people were able to take some photos. Nissan Skyline GTR was the pace car for the V8 racing. Dream machines did few laps on the track. As they are not race modified could not feel the grunt at all. Probably the owners drove them around (I guess). Pageni Zonda was the main attraction and is the most expensive of all. (1,400,000 A$ roughly 103 million Rs. Could cost double in SriLanka because of tax) I had to use one of my old cameras with dead body battery(that's why photos show wrong date ). They are not great photos anyway. I am trying to upload them. If this doesn't work I will try in another time.
  20. Hi It look like U comparing apple and pears mate, Haven't seen Subaru Foresters going off-road. U can not compare HRV with a Prado. In my knowledge Prado and Grand Cherokee fall in to mid size 4WD category. Don't U consider the seating capacity. One of my friend use a Prado which got 8 seats. I do not know about how many seats in Grand Cherokee. Why don't you consider X-trai, Rav 4 etc in Small SUV category. I am not familier with the Mitsubusi Montenero but lot of people in here(Australia) buy Mistsubusi Pajero ( got 7 seats) which they say good value for the money. This two cents from me
  21. 1. Hey U kiddimg me. Where I live the public transport service is not good as in SriLanka in the the terms of frequency and the coverage. I mean there are not enough buses in the road and not covering all the resudetial areas. Other thing is taking the bus for whole family bit expensive in the short run(Comparatively higer busfare and compare to the fuel cost). But the buses are bit luxourious wit AC and not crowded. 2. Why I bought a Grand Vitara. I used to travel 730 km(eachway) every month or every other month. So I needed a reliable car to for that. That's why I had buy brand new. As the kids go to after school activities we parents take turns in dropping them off and bring them back to homes. I needed the car with 7 or more seats. Grand Vitra was the cheapest japanese made car fulfill above requirement. In addition old style rearwheel drive with dual AC(needed in day long trips with kids in the summer) As a family event we do lost of camping in remote areas where 4 wheel drivability is essential When anybody comes to visit us from SriLanka extra seat capacity in very handy. That is the reason mate. Otherwise I would use the public tranport. Thanks any way for Ur humour packed reply
  22. Hi Charitha Hod the fire mate. Have U got the disease called Piles. Why are U so aggro Thanks for the quick reply and the natural way of your talking. May some body in your family talking in this sort of language that's how U picked it up(I guess). I know this is a Autolanka forum but have seen so many other topics such as" So many children killed in the -----". Is this topic not relevant to the exhobitant car prices. Other think is U don't know who am I and what is my I Q levels. Just address the things relevant to the topic. Not barking. The way U write shows your maturity. Did I ask U to use the Park and Ride? Do U think people going the public transport have no wife no family?. Wait till tolls comes into effect. If U don't like this topic, why U read it or reply. If U come here to read about cars just read relevant ones. Good luck
  23. Thanks for opening up this topic on the forum. This is a very important topic to discuss. I think establishment of toll collecting during the peak hour together with Park and Ride project could make a greater impact. As I know there could be lot of arguments arises as the poeple normally don't want to change their routines, comfort etc. Anyway If I was in SriLanka I would definetly try this.
