guys.. brought my first car - mazda demio 1998, pre face lift.. 1.3 Manual bought one month ago.. run so far 2000km.. happy with the car.. only issue was with the gear box.. when i change to the 5th gear it gives a humming sound. (Sound like a Super charger in my own world ) apparently previous owner try to reaper the gear box and and the it didn't end well.(I didn't come a cross the issue until i ran few 100km) unfortunately now it's my problem .. one guy advice me to replace the whole gear box. I check with japan lanka and they don' t have. any idea about place to look or any advice?

very good post.. i recently visit UK, and Driving is much better experience .. 1- No tuk tuk.. 2- not only Drivers , pedestrians are also responsible , they newer cross a road without zebra crossing , and drivers will stop even when you chatting near zebra crossing. 3-no Horns 4-respect each other 5. No Traffic police and Bribery I all ways hope we can have that road culture..

Japanese alto not good on fuel.. now the car price came down .. so for 1.5 mil Susuki Liana - good overall package.. Lancer cs1 FB 15 maruti swift beetle March AK12 Alto k10 - Best on Fuel and easy on maintenance.. ek3 - sporty viva elite - Best on Fuel all kind of options are there... very hard to make a decision ...

yes,,, we can see the old posts.. Somebody is asking a new question, because some time they need new answers.. things going to be change over the years.. Thread from 2010 some time not helping at all… Yes .. Japan swift is more durable.. more equipped.. more comfortable .. Has New Engine.. But .. Japan swift is going for 6-7Lks more than Indian swift .. So I like to know the durability of Maruti Swift .. can any owner reply with the based on experience?

Last 3 or 4 years sri lanka car prices changes very much.. at the moment as we know srilankan vehicle market is not doing well and car prices have gone down. EX - we can see AE110 are priced from 13lks to 21lks . So if you guys can reply with current market ..it will be very helpfull.. I'm looking for (exsept Indian maruti and Alto) 1.relible 2.fule efficent i have few cars in mind. which one will be the best? I will be travaling 40km per day 3days per week and once a month 450-500km . roughly 1000 -1200KM per month.
