  1. I dont feel any differnece while driving. Also not a drastic reduction of fuel consmption. Service guys did a OBD2 sensor scan. It indicates fault on, PCM(Poertrain Control Module) and CCM(Cruise Control Module). By looking at that, they told about replacement.
  2. Hi, When I did the regular service, service station did a OBD2 port based sensor scan. Then they showed me that SRS airbag sensor is failing in steering wheel. They assumption was this can happen due to wrong wheel alignment. I did a wheel alignment recently. Can that be true? Thanks
  3. Hi, I have a 2008 Toyota Vitz 1.3(SCP 90) which has done 91000kms. When I did the regular service recently, service station did a OBD2 sensor scan. They said that it indicates we need to do a engine tune up. I did my last tune up around 70000kms. Also they said I need replace spark plugs and the fuel filter. Also they said we need to replace plugs in 50000kms I don’t abt the fuel filter. But as I heard we can do more than 100000kms with original plugs. What is your opinion on this? Thanks
  4. Today I did a check with a good mechanic. Found that one tyre has a uneven wear off. May be it has happend due to failure in refircments in the tyre. So need to replace it. But the issue is replacing only one. My tyres are 35k kms old Kumho.
  5. I did the regualr service of my Vitz 2008 yesterday. It has Kumho tyres. After getting the vehicle I feel right side is vibrating a lot. Styring wheel feels it very well. Thought there is problem in air pressure in tyre. When I cheked it they say the inner reinforments of tyre has been broken. I need to replace the tyre. I cant see it physically. No air buble or mark in the tyre. Are there any guesses ? Thanks!
  6. Hi Gayantha, Thanks for your info. My one is a 1300cc. I did the calculation full tank to full tank. I tired several times to do this. Maybe the max value is incorrect. Anyway I get 22 + everytime for the first case!
  7. Before the tune up, these stats were very low. That's why I did the tune up. Actually I dont know the optimal fuel efficiencies for Vitz. That's why I asked from the community. No jokes please
  8. I have a Toyota Vitz(2008, SCP90) model car. When I bought the vehicle it was in perfect tune up. I am telling because small water drops came out from the exhaust pipe. After running about 20000 Kms I felt that fuel efficiency is low. Thus I did an engine tune up. Injectors, plugs and air system was cleaned. Injectors were given an ultra sonic treatment. But still I feel the fuel efficiency is bit low. No water dropps. Can you help me to understand the situation. I have observed these stats, 25Km per liter efficiency when running at 90-100 Kms per hour in the highway without AC. 18Km per liter efficiency when running at 90-100 Kms per hour in the highway with AC to the medium level. 10Km per liter efficiency when running in Colombo High Traffic with AC to the medium level.
  9. I didnt had the issue before tyre change. I also think this is due to uneven tyre wear, and manufacturing defects.
  10. #3 jayanathkarunarathna I did it and it was fine. No issue in alignment NRX The guy who checked the wheel base and break told me the same story. tiv - Not yet.. Will look at that also! Thanks you guys for given me some hope!
  11. I have a Toyota Vitz(SCP 90). A month ago I have replaced the break liners of the rear wheels. At the same day I have exchanged the front tires to back tires due to trey wear. After that day when I leave the hands from steering wheel, vehicle moves left quickly. Then I went to check the wheel alignment, first they have exchange two front tires. Left to right and right to left. This is because my tire are directional. But that didn't solve the issue. Then I checked the wheel alignment. That was fine. So still have my problem. Then suspected that left side breaks are tighter than the right. Thus did a service to front breaks and rear breaks. But still problem happens. Can you help me to find the solution?
