  1. That's an eye opener iRage. Thanks so much. Consumption is anyway not my first priority as the car will not be driven regularly. Its mostly the build quality, safety and relatively cheaper parts availability and less running repairs. I have called up a few Axia and Picanto owners and I was shocked to hear some of them saying that the car is not quipped with ABS in these models. I mean seriously!! That's like riding a motor bike without a helmet.? But to my relief, some Axia owners mentioned that the car comes with ABS. Did a little bit of online research but cannot clearly identify which models of these 2 actually have ABS. Can anyone with the knowledge shed some light please.
  2. Thank you very much guys for ur generous feedback. I have reconsidered the options given and narrowed my search down to following. Perodua Axia 2015-2016 Kia Picanto 2015-2016 Wagon R (Can't get my mind out of it) Doing a bit of research, found that some mention about a gearbox issue with Axia 15 &16. I suspect this is mainly to do with manual transmissions, however would like to know if any Axia automatic owners came across this. Didn't hear any popular issues with Picanto yet. Wagon R is the one I like the most due to the Japanese manufacturer and better consumption. However, I would not be driving the vehicle daily hence would it be a bad idea as the battery life would fade off due to less usage? Also, what are the drawbacks of Wagon R? Heard that parts are super expensive and the car is prone to frequent break downs than other Japanese units.
  3. Thanks Kush. What would be the better option between Mazda Demio 2010 and Viva Elite 2013. Please let me know the pros and cons of each. Frankly speaking, I have no idea of hatchbacks.
  4. Hey Guys, Please let me know the best small cars available for 2-2.5M range. Requirements are below. Should not be older than 9 years (2011 onwards) Easy maintenance - cheaper parts availability Will not be driving daily hence I assume that wagon R with the hybrid battery would be a bad idea Should be a hatchback Should be an automatic Please let me know your thoughts.
  5. Does anyone know a place to buy a rear buffer for Lancer EX in SL? Any place other than Unimo.
  6. Even with me its a bit hard to compare as I had a manual 110 and automatic FB15. But FB15 returned around 8-9 kmpl in city limit with A/C. 110 did around 13-14 kmpl in city with A/C. One of my friends had an automatic 110 and it returned 12kmpl in city limits. But comfortability and stability wise FB15 is way ahead I feel. BTW I think FB15 is much better than N16 on FC alone. Friend of mine bought one and sold it in 2 months
  7. Haha saw those too. Will be too expensive I think. Dont have much money for modifications at the moment
  8. Thanks brother...U ve been a great foil to me mate. wil upload da pics soon
  9. Got it for #### mate. Unfortunately I had to go through a bayya to get it. The 1st owner had given it for ##. Knowing the price he had got it i went after the bayya and bargained like hell to get it for that price. Bugger quoted ## initially.
  10. Actually this doc had taken good care of the car. He had all the maintenance records filed nicely and he had even filed the paper advertisement on the Lancer EX back in 2007 along with the car manual and brochure. Even he had given away the Mitsubishi umbrella that came with the car. All the maintenance were done on time and only from UniMo. And the car drives flourishly. Just yesterday a Vezel driver was trying to mess with me and I showed him the power of the Lancer
  11. Definitely on comfort level and handling...And the high ground clearance of Lancer gives a SUV kinda feeling to me. I think its only 1 or 2 inches lower than Vezel. But again I drove only 2 FDs..So may be im being too bias towards the Lancer
  12. Actually a bayya guy had bought the car and used it by himself without servicing it for about 2000kms
  13. Thanks you guys for your help. Settled with a Lancer EX GLS 2008. Was about to buy a 2008 FD4 wen i came across this and I should say Lancer feels way better than the FD4. I dont see myself giving up the EX for an eternity
  14. Hey Guys, I can announce myself as a proud Lancer EX owner now. Found a fabulous Lancer EX GLS 2008 owned by a doc. He had taken care it like it was his baby And I cannot wait to jump into the car and start driving again. It feels super awesome. Only the issue is it did only 9kmpl in an outstation drive. But it has not been serviced for 7000 kms and I hope servicing might improve the efficiency. Or is there anything else I can do about it lyk changing air filter??? Owner said it does not need tuneup. Thanks all of you to helping me out to make the best decision and encouraging me to be patient.
  15. Brother there is a black Lancer Ex in the "quick" site n owner is in a hurry to sell it. Grab it by both hands
  16. If you guys were referring to me, Yes I found a Lancer EX and now i cant stay away from it. Its an amazing ride and never thought it would be this great. I dunno why people buy crappy Toyotas when you have an option as amazing as Lancer. Axio is shit compared to this.
  17. There are two Exs available for sale. Look around. Wats ur budget
  18. Whats the car u have in ur mind..Lemme guess its ur car
  19. Lol thats what I started thinking also VVTi. Since i cant find a good option might be a good idea to go for a less expensive car and save some money
  20. Still Im hesitant to buy it with this issue. I had a car with book issues and it took a miracle to sell it. So Im super careful now. I am gonna check with UniMo and only if its checks out im gonna buy it. Otherwise I will have to keep searching I guess. Prob is UniMo has refused to give out any details without the rightful owner of the car
  21. Thanks very much for the info Jeevan
  22. UniMo is not giving details out without the first owner and this car is in a car sale. Car is a Lancer EX
  23. Ya I also Crosswind's suggestion might be possible. Initially thought the vehicle might have been brought in parts and assembled in SL. But the vehicle looks to be in fabulous condition and I got a mechanic to check it and he said nothing of that sort has happened. And there are no visible accident marks at all. If there ever was an accident that damaged seat belts I dont think the vehicle could be in the condition it is in right now. Car was imported brand new and its a Lancer EX

  25. Guys need your opinion on something. I was able to find a car and the owner has advertised it as a 2008 model but when I checked the tag in the seat belt 2009 is mentioned as the manufacturing year. In the book manufacturing year is 2008. When I asked from the owner he said the car was manufactured towards the end of 2008 and hence they have put it as 2009. But when registering RMV has put it as 2008. (This is the second owner) However I asked it from a car sale guy and a person who knows about RMV stuff, both of them said its a huge risk to buy the vehicle and RMV do not do such things and it cannot be a mistake also. What do u guys think about this. Should I go ahead and buy the car or is there any risk.
