  2. Not dalco angle the cam of the cma shaft must be regrind to change the valve opening timing (increase the intake valve opening time). This was done by old racers to increase the 1000hp to1200hp for ford. I think this might know very well others.
  3. Dear nplak, I am not expert like others. if you can change the cam angles to accomodate addtional air suction I think horespower can be increase but it need addtional radiator fan to cool. Regards, Ruwan

  9. There are some guys arguing that how can we get pinpoint accuracy with 70’s technology. The theory of sonic velocity and forces generating in object moving with the same speed were invented in 1800 by Lord Frondtl. But shooting to accurate position and s sonic jets are two different technologies. It is simple, if you have bomb and its operating instrument (hi-tech), it can nut and bolt to plane dash board and give the battery power. Then you can feed the target point on the earth (xyz). So it needs only the point at where the bomb needs to be relied. So it needs jet velocity, coordinate at where it flies. Then it give signal to pilot “ok now push the button” when the plane moving close to the trajectory. It does not need any info from plane computer because it is old and plane is going in zig zag , but it has inbuilt GPS to calculate all the details and feed the signal to plane computer through USB(2000) to RS232(1970) converter Regards, Ruwan

  12. The Honda Aria is mine and still it working well. I checked with 90 Oct and is better in city 14km/l. Unfortunately it cost 2.4mil. I had 1.5 and got personal loan of 1 mil. Just joking ,why not join with Miniace and fix 1.2 I-dsi engine to Mini definitely it will work 20km/l Regards, Ruwan
  13. Careful fist remove the battery terminals otherwise any spark could be cause a fire!!!!!!!. First check the gauge wire was damaged or halfy broken at the lug (connecting end to the gauge at the tank). if not clean and tight the gauge wire. Still the problum is there then the gauge might be fixed in a worng position or there is a cloge to the movement of floater arm Regards, Ruwan

(If on railroad tracks get out of car FIRST!) 1.After referring to the VECI label, examine the idle speed. 2.Water or foreign substances may be in the fuel system or the filter is clogged. 3.Are distributor parts dinged or wet? 4.System sensors could be malfunctioning for fuel or emission information system. 5. The emissions system components out of commission. 6.Spark plugs, again, gapped or how are the wires? 7.Sounding like a broken record: there could be vacuum leaks at the carburetor and throttle body, and or intake manifold, vacuum hoses. * The engine engages but stops immediately. 1.Are there loose or faulty electrical connections at the distributor, coil, or alternator? 2.Fuel or electrical system malfunctioning should be considered. 4.Not enough fuel could be making it to the carburetor or fuel injectors, and one should check the fuel pump. 5.If there is a vacuum leak at the gasket surfaces of the intake manifold, or carburetor and throttle body then 6.one must retighten nuts and bolts tightly, and re-attach or replace vacuum hoses.   16. In addition to gear oil brass corn clutches, it is difficult to change the gears when the speed is low because of mismatching speeds and ok when the speed ok. So you need additional force to do it (pull the brass cones). If the gear levers are bad especially the hinges and pivots, it tries to buckle than move.

Are you going to kill me anyway I did few calculations Keep it mind I haven’t got any energy loss from gearbox to tiers If you can see the above your cal QQ has more efficient On the other hand if you divide bhp/cc the power generate by a 1cc can found MAruti 37/795= 0.047 Alto 47/795= 0.059 QQ 52/812=0.064 As all aspirated O2 atoms are same for 1cc. Hence the power bhp per 1cc, QQ has the max efficiency But??????? It has more cc therefore it consumes more petrel. Meanwhile Alto has almost same bhp per 1cc the compare to QQ Alto is the best in fuel economy. If torque is known then bhp can be found from following formula bhp=T xrpm/5252 T(ft lbf) 1Nm=0.738 ft lbf So for max torque Maruti bhp = 0.738 x 59 x 2500/5252= 20.7hp Alto bhp = 0.738 x 62 x 3000/5252= 26.1hp QQ bhp = 0.738 x 62 x 3750/5252= 36.9hp Still QQ has more bhp for max Torque For max bhp the torque by inverting formula Maruti T = 37 x5252 /(0.738 x 5000)= 52.7 Nm Alto T = 47 x5252 /(0.738 x 6200)= 54 Nm QQ T = 52 x5252 /(0.738 x 60200)= 61.7 Nm Still QQ has more Torque for max bhp If you divide bhp/ mass Maruti 37/650=0.057 Alto 47/740= 0.064 QQ 57/880= 0.059 Alto and QQ are same. Therefore performance of both in flat land and uphill area same Conclusion: I think for good pickup QQ best for racing enthusiast because it has more Torque But considering fuel economy and efficiency and common performance(Uphill, flat land) Alto is good.

  22. Gear box friction loss, Air-condition all are unavoidable loss however has been developed, and are developing every day. Meanwhile, engine bhp not only depends on cc and rpm. If it is turbocharged, it can get more bhp for less cc. Recently, I sow CAT engine with 6 turbo it likes truck engine but can pull a ship. If you want to compare engine efficiency for close range of cc , check if it is fuel injection, variable valve timing then definitely it is more efficient. If the power steering is drive by electrically it has less power loss. If the gear box is CVT it provide unnecessary acceleration loss. If all engins has carb, then select less cc for high bhp. My advice is buy a old car like Mini and lean to repair your self spend time in the garages and bargain for spare parts. Try to do your own modification. Listen to girls friend bashing when breakdown on the way. It is much interesting than going for good comfort car. Dear Yasith, Actually SIVIper saying not a joke because Sr. Jams Watt who introduced the HP concept of measuring power, really was measured from Pony. 1hp is equal who can pull 33,000pounds rate of one feet per minute. The bhp break house power really introduced to world due the instrument which measures power. It consists of pulley, belt and spring weigh. One end of belt fixed and other end hang to weigh while putting around the pulley. Then the pulley is fixed to engine. When Engine start the pulley is rotating and belt get tension due friction and tension force can read from weigh. The same pulley-belt mechanism is used as a Break. If you open lath a machine you can see it use for sudden stopping of lath chuck rotation. So that is how the BREAK came to bhp. Similarly engine bhp is measured from power at crank shaft without gear box etc. Only the Engine capacity the cc cannot provide answer along with out knowing engine rpm at its max power. More cc and more rpm has more power. More cc and less rpm less power. It can simply explain as bhp= (pounds=engine CC)x(feet/min= rpm) Regards, Ruwan
