  1. When start/stop button is pressed without brakes, car can be put to "ACC" and "ON" mode. May be the OP is referring to that. Assuming Aqua is similar to allion
  2. That means even agent service records cannot be trusted? Damn...
  3. Nope. they dont dismantle. just checked the whole A/C system running at full capacity. (they put it on the lowest temperature and went through their checklist) replaced the cabin filter at that time. thats all.
  4. you can go to TL for an extra advise. but dont trust them too much either. once TL guys in wattala told me that pretty soon i would have to replace the compressor as it is failing. i was honestly surprised at that point because i didn't feel any loss in A/C (still dont after 10000km.) when i serviced again from kandy TL they told me replacement is not necessary yet. (i asked them specifically to check the A/C system) Seems like toyota wattala guys over stated the facts.
  5. AC problems in 260s axios and 141s are very common. First of all it is a good choice to make sure there are no leaks in the ac system and the refrigerant level is sufficient. (since you said it was repaired) Go through this topic for additional info. If it absolutely comes to replacing the compressor go through this topic.
  6. Hi @iRage Side question. Can you please explain the difference between allion and premio? I thought they are the same car with different badges.
  7. Allion aprox 8KMPL. Heavy bumper to bumper traffic in colombo. took it to colombo for the first time and the last time. will use the bus again. avoid the stress of driving too.
  8. What do you mean by constant on and off? if you turn it on, it will stay on. You wont feel any clutch disengagement and sudden rpm drop (in idle) since it is a vdc. if this is the case, it is perfectly normal.
  9. Usually NZT260s near 100k mark has to undergo AC repair (only compressor or both the compressor and evaporator coil), shock replacement, Engine mount replacement. if these are done by the previous owner (with genuine parts) no headache for you. As for the CVT, my allion is now at 80k and still running like brand new. So I think it has more life on it past the 100k mark.(At least for the vehicles which has been maintained properly with proper institutes). Dont buy this G grade bullshit. Look for the options. Standard 260s come with blinker mirrors, smart keys, push start..blah..blah.... What i found different is some come with steering controls (Can be added later anyway), fog lights, rear and front parking sensors, auto or manual adjustable headlights and some even with VSC. (Might even find Cruise). (Car experts make corrections if Im wrong here).Try to get a 1.8 version as most of the options are factory fitted as opposed to 1.5s which might have been added later by makabases. Good luck with car hunting.
  10. Is this article true? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5930277/Is-cars-air-poisoning-Millions-UK-drivers-exposed-toxic-air.html
  11. I have an allion 260. It resets the FC every time I pump fuel. Other than that I didn't find any method to reset it.
  12. think about this again. there are times, i wish my allion has a regular key. Push start can be a pain in the a** when your key stops responding. When the battery is low or when there is a big interference to radio signals, this can happen.
  13. i had to change the plate from WP to CP. When you go to dept of motor traffic to change the CR to your name, they will arrange to swap the plates as well. Just notify them to be sure. after about two three weeks you will be notified to collect your new plates from the district secretariat office.
  14. Hi guys, newbie here (although a regular reader of the forum) Just out of curiosity, can this system be installed in a 2008 allion? and approximately how much cost are we looking at if a proper system is to be fixed at a reputed place? btw my head unit was broken, im looking to replace it.
