    I checked the body conversion documents everything is there and legit the weherahara documents.And the they also did the conversion 12 yrs ago

    Yah the vehicle I'm looking at has a double cab book(50-xxxx) but it has a very good engine with 4WD for a very reasonable price. And another thing If I buy this I'm gonna be using this as my second car and will not be going at high speeds in this thing,just for town running as I like a diesal SUV.

    But I'm not that extreme off reading type guy. I just want a jeep which has a big road presence and good height with ground clearance.Most of the time gonna be using it for city running.

    Yeah good mechanics are hard to come by these days.I thinks TD42 automatic transmissions are quite rare.

    I still haven't bought one but I have my eye on one patrol(the above mentioned one). I like the Patrol Y60 cuz it has a lot of road presence and the prices of em are reasonable compared to rivals like the land cruiser Sahara.

    Is getting a 5L engine and turbo charging it with a intercooler to like 150HP a good idea?

    I think the Mitsubishi 4M40/4M41 have reliability issues.

    It previously had a TD42 but the engine was abused very much it had 420k on the clock.The brakes were very bad.The automatic gearbox refused to change gears easily.And the acceleration was worse than I thought.And I need an engine which would fit my budget.Automatic gearbox so a must.

    But the TD42 tends to be very expensive Is there any other engine that would work great?

    But the patrol Y60 came with the RD28T engine which is a 2.8 TD. And the TD42 is not turbocharged it only makes a measly 120bhp.

    What's the best engine swap for the Y60 Patrol? My options are, *1KZ 3.0 TD *4M40 2.8 TD *TD42 4.2 TD *2L-TE 2.4 TD *3L 2.8 TD *5L-E 3.0 TD AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION IS A MUST!

    So does that mean u can fit a LWB chassis onto a SWB chassis and the fit a LWB body to it?
