Run till almost empty and pump fuel from a reputable station and see (after clearing the light again). Or just re-tighten the fuel filler cap. Sorry, maybe my suggestions could be totally unrelated. At least it wont cost you to try.
-
Try to get genuine or OEM. What you have listed is aftermarket (most likely Chinese part). If you can, keep clearing the code and run the car for a couple of weeks to see if it comes up again. I did the same when I got this code. It never came up again. All I can remember doing in between was I pumped fuel once. Maybe it was bad fuel or the fuel cap was not closed properly. Never touched the O2 sensor. You might as well try this before spending

Nice car ! She looks in good nick. I would say to enjoy her for a while before you take her apart My first car is a B12 Wagon bought in 2001 and still have it. Unfortunately it has been neglected for a few years (due to not being driven). Hoping to start on her from next year. All the best on your restoration.

BG44K. The "can rattle" sound is still present.
-
The pressure was actually low cos the sound of the engine was different. My guess is, BG cleaned up and some dislodged crap got in the way of oil flow & pressure. I'm not an expert in this though . I have read that if one is to use engine treatment additives, then add it just before your engine oil change interval is due.
-
I did this once with BG and took the car on the highway with a return trip. Two days later, the low oil pressure light lit up continuously. My mechanic said he cleaned a valve (I wasn't there at the time) and the oil pressure came back to normal. I didn't say to my mechanic what I did. Maybe some cleaned up gunk got stuck in a valve. Since then, I'm a bit worried to add anything into the petrol tank. Yes, I'm too having a slight sound (like spray paint can rattle) under the engine. Only during acceleration and engine load (between AT gear 1 and 2). Cannot seem to figure out the problem. So to OP, please update this thread if you get yours fixed.

You must go with the radiator or car itself. No point calling and asking. Anybody will need actual measurements. Can you not shave 1mm off from either side of the lip ? Ask and see.

Yes, go to Panchikawatte their head office and explain what had happened in Piliyandala. If they don't have the tank in stock, they will hunt around for one and Panchikawatte is the best place to hunt :-). It will cost you around 8,000. There is a slight issue though. The tanks are held by aluminium clips. These can be carefully opened and closed around two cycles before they break off. This means you can remove the same side tank only two times. Any more than that you are risking improper sealing and it will fail the pressure test. Since your tank was already opened once for the repair make double sure that any replacement tank fits before you open up those clips again. Good luck !

FINAL UPDATE: I don't have any written quotation. It was just verbally given to me by the owner after consulting their workshop. OK so today I went to Saman's place to check the defective alternator. He reconfirmed what me and my father diagnosed to be working parts. Get this. The only parts that needed repairs are as below; Slip rings Rps.1,000 Teflon sleeve Rps. 1,900 (this was actually broken by PALA electrician while dismantling the alternator. So obviously the part was not there when the assembled alternator was collected the next day). Labour Rps.800 Total cost: Rps.3,700 The alternator was bench tested by Saman and it worked fine. Thanks to all of you guys for your support. The Don - thank you. I'll keep you informed To PALA ELECTRICALS Shame on you people. Do you think we have money to burn ? Do you take every customer as a moron ? Ms. PALA where is your big mouth now ? Is this how you built your 40 year reputation ? Do you guys sleep well at night ? -

UPDATE: Due to work commitments I could not attend to my alternator repairs until yesterday. So before visiting Saman's workshop yesterday, I thought I would first try at Delkanda and found a genuine used one for Rps.11,500. Fixed it to the car and its all good now. I will get the defective one repaired later as a backup :-). New alternators on the Internet are around $150 to $200. Since my father is an Electrical Engineer, during the last few days we managed to test a few components on the defective alternator. The results will not be disclosed here (but will do so when necessary) due to what I will reveal below Yesterday evening while I was at the garage getting the used alternator fixed, I got a call from PALA Auto Electrical's. They had my contacts because they registered me when they took my alternator for inspection. It was the owner's daughter. During the nearly 10 min conversation, she threatened to take Legal action against me for my thread here. She also accused me of sending emails all around (she is hallucinating on the email part). I told her to go ahead with the Legal action. This note below is to Ms. Pala, I know you will be reading this. I hope your "thaththi" knows about your unprofessional and immature stunt yesterday (31/Jan/2015) by calling a customer to harass and especially threaten. If you have nothing to hide, I invite you to come to this forum and post your reply for all to see and give a break down of how you arrived at the Rps.25,000 that was quoted to me. I'm being polite here..... Please don't even think about calling me again to harass and waste my time. -
