  1. Fiat Coupe. theres a yellow one as well
  2. Assuming you mean acceleration. Take it to a mechanic and get the spark plugs and electricals checked- if the engine bay was washed during the service.
  3. Posted 10 May 2011 - 02:21 PM lol such a simple thing that everyone seems to be confused on. 'S' mode is a hold mode- so basically its for times when you need the car to hold the particular gear ratio its currently in. So in the case of a load drive- you want it to stay in a low gear with high revs and in case of highway drive where performance is needed you'd want it to stay in one particular gear- perhaps around the ratio of a typical 3rd gear. This is the way I'd assume it to be in a CVT box - non CVT should be different. I'm no expert it automatics though
  4. Well I would not say its "not a a reliable daily driven, trouble free car" The 1.8 Si maybe more economical though
  5. Yup. Its known to knock on 90
  6. Never owned one- but from what i've heard from previous owners is that most spares are available locally. The Agents have the rebuild kit as well- which is usually needed around 150k mileage mark. Would not take it to 'any garage' though- as normally simple things like cleaning the TB is tricky- since its a got a quad TB. Other than that tappets need to be adjusted regularly. Fuel is in the region of 7-8 and you'll need 95
  7. A nice DC2 Integra should fit the bill well. I guess it's fuel consumption is closer to 10 km/liter as well
  8. its found in 96-98 as well- Lots of free info on the net http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Carina
  9. Lots of heat through traffic running, lots of dust and lots or wear though long distance running coupled with a dry clutch system and air brakes
  10. Yup was really looking forward to it at least being in the price range of the hybrid civics but by the looks of its seems to be doomed for the moment.
  11. Thats a bit of an irresponsible link- The little Vitz does not have DSG!!!!!! Edit- looks like you corrected it!

  13. Think there was one Silver and one white one around
  14. With CRZ prices being quoted in the 5 Million range- you're 'Us' becomes a royal 'us' And for that sort of money that much better 'fair punch' options. IMO disappointing in the way the CRZ turned out- its got real poor value for money
  15. :0 Now you got the experience to shoot hair product commercials as well I honestly believe some metal bands rehease their hair scenes
  16. Is not S for L as in older models? For load driving etc.
  17. Dude you had me really surprised with the pics Never knew there was a metal junkie in you Peri
  18. Hard to say- back faring usually happens due to engine timing issues. Usually the car's ECU should kick in with a default fail save mode in order to prevent the Engine getting harmed in the case of a malfunctioning sensor and therefore a backfire maybe avoided
  19. Just a thought- will not carb cleaner be a bit too harsh for an electronic sensor? and also since they are covered in plastic and silicon bits.. On the Civic I used to spray a cloth with carb cleaner and then clean only AFS contact point which used to be a nice bit of metal jutting out. But I don't think newer AFS's come the same way
  20. Varies from car to car- model to model. If the engine has muti-stage variable value timing system- the stages may not activate or it may activate late, other than that you may have a 'rough start' in the mornings, rough or fluctuating idle and poor gas mileage.
  21. I clean its every 5000kms or so. It may need to be cleaned earlier if you drive in ultra dusty conditions or use a cone filter. It effects the fuel and performance of the car since the Car's ECU relies on its reading to maintain the most efficient air-fuel mixture for the engine & conditions Look for 'contact cleaner'. Most brands will do the job well. Wurth should have a product as well
  22. Cool
  23. Dude, not disputing that the ViRS was produced from late 1998. (September onwards I think) But since you know all the facts- does this particular car have 1998 listed as the year of manufacture in the book?
  24. 1998 VIRS?
  25. Yes the Govt Security staff has every right to question youo under the prevailing 'Emergency Law' that's periodically reviewed and passed in Parliament . From my run-in's with the cops I've never really been asked to get out of the vehicle. I just stay put and wait for them to come over- if they don't I drive away The times I have got down are when I have been in the wrong and volunteered to get out to 'negotiate'
