Cars manufactured after 2004 including 2004 got middle antennas, AFAIK. ‘Options’ got no role here.

Not sure about the formalities if importing but, if you’re hand carrying tell the customs it’s a used one & for your personnel use. You’ll get away with paying nothing or whatever tax they want will deduct from your duty free allowance. Needless to say, you’ll need some indication on the cartoon to prove it’s not a brand new.

Remind me of child & infant car seat law in other countries. Do we have anything similar? We should & no need to wait for a disaster. http://www.childcarseats.org.uk/law/

Also very common in large engines using heavy oil if running with less load/RPM for longer periods. Less RPM/load running is really a pain for engineers as lot of cleaning inside scavenge spaces necessary & fail to do may result in fire inside scavenge spaces. I know there are no spark plugs in large engines but inadequate temperature is the root cause here.

Why don't you try to align your headlights first? It will cost you about 350 but worth it. I was in a similar situation some time ago & I was blaming bulbs, battery & also my age. But one day while I was aligning my tires I saw a new Prado doing head light alignment & I did the same for my car. Problem solved!

Please share your experience on buying (or downloading) music from internet. I’ve manage to download music from ITunes sometime back but not from Sri Lanka.

In 2000 I fixed 70 AMP Global super maintenance free type. I used this for 5 years & 4 months without any problem. 70 AMP is unnecessary & 45 AMP is adequate for FB 15. There are certain advantages of having higher capacity battery and also too high AMPs can ruin your electrical system.

Hybrid Car Tax Down To 8% By 2012 Budget

Additionally pension (if applicable) will be based on last drawn basic salary & nothing to do with allowances, bonus etc.. -
Great stuff, thanks. I could only imagine politically influenced/qualified morons driving these & harnessing drivers in the expressway instead of professional assistance.

They are Indian made & agent is Mag City. Both not very popular in AL.

AFAIK Chevy alloys are standers on all Cruze & I won't swap them with swift alloys. Once again 165/65/15 is hard to find & expensive but not impossible. That's just me..

165/65/15 is bit hard to find but available. I replaced my tires with Bridgstone 185/65/15 but wouldn't recommend same size as I notices slight drop in performance & fuel economy (Great look though). Try Autodrome & check the attached price list downloaded from their site. You'll get 25% discount from the prices when you buy from them. But even with the dealers (in Kandy) you'll get more or less same discount I've noticed.

Chevrolet Cruze Fuel Consumption Problem
maersk replied to gurugee's question in Mechanical problems
Not an expert but an owner. to me 8 km/l is reasonable and you might get higher number if you on outstation run, depending on your driving style. I too had the same question when I bought mine. Swift & Cruze sharing same engine but I've noticed Cruze performance is better than Swift & probably that's the reason for higher consumption. I also got a FB15 & surprisingly it does better on gas than the Cruze. Both cars are very well looked after I must say. I use V I C (A-967) filter for engine which are freely available in any decent auto spare shop. Not aware of any Cruze brand car covers but any medium size will do fine. It's always better to do a scan, if you haven't done recently but stay away from unnecessary repairs suggest by A M W guys.- 13 replies

1300 or even 1500 engine is not enough for this size. I think 1800 cc engine shall be the minimum for this size cars.

Nope! Too good for my old engine.

It's not Nissan who recommends BP but A*W probably because they are the importers of BP products. No wonder all Nissan, Maruti owners forced to use BP. If I'm not mistaken Nissan recommends Mobil 1 for GT engines. There's a small device installed in my car (Nissan), probably by its Japanese owner (I bought it unreg) which got 2 small lights, Filter & Oil. Never had any activity in this device for ages so thought it's not working. But first time when I use Mobil the oil light started blinking after about 4000 kms. It stopped when I changed oil but started again about 4000 kms. Then I changed back to BP & never got any activity again up to 6k kms. that's the max I went without changing oil. I normally change oil every 5k km or within 6 months, which ever is earlier. I don't know how accurate it is & I never came across anything like that but it made me believe BP is better, for my engine at least. The reason I change to Mobil because it's less expensive & widely available.

That's the spirit machang, may be now it's time for a better car. When reading some posts I thought Axio is the only car you'll ever gonna buy.
