Dear members, I have adjusted the clutch master pump rod some time back when my cluch was required to depress to end, because there was an issue with pressure plate. now all gone and very smooth. but i want to know what the factory default setting of this rod. see pic (red arrow) another thing is when i press tghe clutch it dose go deep end and touches the floor pannel (just above the pannel) some guy said to me it should not touch the pannel . ano looks there are some roubber cover there to close that hole if you have EK3 Please let me know what you have on that Sira

EK3 you are correct . i do not recomand waruna too. found a good guy who replaced my Clutch and PP. he is working in Stafford and resonable. for Clauch replacment he charge me 4850. he dose take his time . and do it nicly name jagath. if you need telephone number , please PM me Chirath

Dear All Finally I replaced the clutch and PP y'day including the oil seal..etc.but most worst case was the cluch fork (see attached pic) . it was broken due to high pressure of the pressure plate. I had to replace that too and my repairman said this was a very rare case. so luckily got the part form tek motors. and cost me 5500. so my advise is when you feel the clutch is tight on your EK3 you should replace soon otherwise the repair will cost more. other thing - I got this repaired by guy called jagath from panagoda. he is really cool guy and no hurry. he dose take his own time and installed everything perfectly. I did replace with Japanese clutch and PP. it was very smooth and no vibration too. wow clutch is very smooth . you are correct cannot see the difference with accelerator paddle and clutch paddle thank you guys for your idea sira

Dear Friends My EK3 Clutch was very tight and finally noticed that it needs to be replaced. I can feel the paddle not go deep as it before. Get stuck at 2inch before the edge. I was running with tight paddle issue for a 1 year and now it is worst. So I’m planning to install Japanese clutch plates, pressure plates, Rasor and Cam oil seal. But some mechanists said go for genuine clutch and pressure plates. Because sometimes the Japanese parts will have a little bit a vibration. Do you have any thoughts about this genuine vs Japanese. Thru , there will be a slightly difference. But will it be like that , Please share with me your ideas. sira

Yes, I did 6 months ago and parts were purchased at access motors. it was 3K. you need to replace gasket, few o'rings and bearing too. my one still ok. got for the good honda technician for repair

Hi Don I checked my break at 70 km and looks it skid to left side. few months ago i replaced Caliper pistons, Proposinate valves and face the roters. how ever my technician said, 70Km is too fast and as your car dose not have ABS car can skid either way. how true is that comment Sira

Friends CV joints are worn off. i can hear the tak tak noice when turn. could it be a issue?

Exi , 98 manaul , for your information - normally it is not posible to control RPM on Auto gear cars. unless you specify the D1, D2...etc

Dear Friends Few weeks ago i checked my Honda engine specification and it does feel me that best power and torque at RPM 4000-5000 (D15Z4). So i drove my car at around 3000-3500 RPM and shift the gear that RPM. I feel little bit comfortable with this RPM. Car pulls very well and the important thing is fuel consumption also good. it was normally 10 Km per litre and now around 12 km in the .someone told me if you drive under 2000RPM you can get more fuel economy. But i had to depress the accelerator to and need to shift the gears very frequently. So now running around 3000-3500 RPM and just little bit depress the accelerator and performing well. What do you think of running 3500 RPM? Dose it burn more fuel Please let me have your comments sira

Hi I had FB 13 model few years back and my carb also messed with baka bass. how ever i found very good person in kottawa and he was a forman in A*W. and replaced the all jetcs..etc and finally tunned, then it was ok. carb are not easy to find but most of the time can be repaired. how meny times did you repaied this? sira

Guys I'm hoping to got for ES8. Currently i got EK3 and it does very good fuel consumption but no ABS and Air bag. i have heard that with ABS the handling is very good. So can you all just let me have your opinion for the ES8 model which is made somewhere in 2000-2004. And EXI model How handling, spare parts, Fuel consumption, any factory is faults...etc etc Sira

Thanks. US auto said that they have not imported any honda doors with original direr side center lock actuator. the issue with universal actuator is it bit a noisy and hard to press. any way i'll check other s too

Dear All Is it posible to find honda door lock actuator for exi model? originally the drver side dose not have motor contorlled actuator and only the sensor - see the picture DSC074901. so i'm looking the item 2 . looks like proper item. the universal actuators are ok but they area heve noicey and stuck plase advise me sira

Well, I got installed – STEEL MATE 838M form SUN ***** and they charged me 9K including 2 actuators for Driver side door and Trunk. They badly said that trunk will not work . so i just asked them to fix it but not connect. Finally i managed that trunk matter by my own at home with installing a spring to actuator to retain it. Job done!!! During the installation i asked them, disable passive arm that will locked the car automatically in 20 sec.it was look find that time. But again i noticed a new issue (did not install auto lock when press the break, not shock sensor no engine killer) After i stop the engine and leave the key on the key hole, open the door and close the door, the system identify that driver has not locked the doors and it will beep me after 15 sec time and it get vanished. Perfect!!!!! But if you open the door again and closed, then with in 20 sec the car gets automatically locked. That’s scared to me. Let’s assume that you stop the car and left the key inside and went shop – Fine! If you want to come back to car and open and close , after 20 sex car get locked this is not a good sign There is no way to fix this bug. Went to SUN again and they said cannot disable. So i sent a mail to Steel mate in china and they also said this option cannot be fixed. Looks strange to me Just for your information guys. Please check the unit before you install it. Personally i do not like this alarm now

Hi guys, I’m looking a car security system with remote unlock/lock and keyless boot open for my EK3. it got already center lock,and want to install remote unlock/lock and boot remot boot open feture. Checked with few places and most of them are Chinese items. But they may be good. Steel mate..Etc. How are they are they reliable and durable. also Checked on web and there are some good brand available like viper..etc can i buy viper or other good brand in SL Please advise me
