  1. Washine the engine bay with water is always not advisable unless you are doing it on your own at home with proper protections for the electronic items like fuses, alternator etc. I always wash out the excessive dirt at home with garden hose. There are few service stations who will refuse washing your engine with water even if you request them to do so. Pitstop cleans the engine with air nice and clean.
  2. Who is that?
  3. Thanks for the share mate. btw have you missed those 'Birds' pictures this time? Or there were no 'birds' at the venue?
  4. Damn!! Machan Gihan, I think this one is the longest 'Happy Birthday' thread in AL.
  5. Why Not Again?
  6. How about a Doctor sunny? or may be a fb14 I guess you can grab one for about 800k- 1 million.
  7. No point on starting and running the engine for few minutes time as the battery can't even get the power (which it used to run the starter motor to start the engine) back from few minutes of stationary run. Also stopping the engine before it reaches the running temperature will lead to serious sludge problems. And if you run the engine for a longer time or take the car out for a run just for the sake of powering battery will cost you the fuel and time. So the best way is disconnecting the battery terminals and leave the car. Personally I have lot of experience on this as I have been flying a lot in the last three years and I traveled once or twice a month and sometimes stayed out of the country for up to two months. Trust me, I never did any of the above precautions as I travel very often and don't have that much patience to do these things each and every time I fly away. But never had any issues though. I just park the car at the portico and fly. And some times even after two months the car starts fine and well.
  8. Not only Srilanka mate it also happens in most of the 3rd world countries. What I really see is Sri Lanka is far better than some other big countries like India, Thailand etc. At least we can be happy about it.
  9. Thanks for the share Devinda. Had a terrible day and thought of checking AL as I didn't check for few days and really ROTFL.
  10. IOC Extra Premium is 91 octane and I tried it few times on different cars and there was no noticeable difference. Normally the petrol SUVs do fill it. But it is definitely not a good choice for the cars which need 95 octane.
  11. Agreed. Its a good news any way.

  23. Very Neat E46 machan. As you said there are not many BMWs in your town you have found a gem out of it. All the best with your ride machan.
  24. Agree with you machan. As I have said before I will pick FB15 from the list any day. I have been using a FB15 YOM1999 for more than 3 years and never changed any sensors as never found faulty. As you said later models have this problem you can easily change the sensor and it won't cost an Arm and Leg. Also you are not going to be changing the sensor each and every month.

    Looking For A 7 Seater

True, also in few years it will offset the cost of the vehicles too.
