I did speak to Zakie and he seemd a helpfull sorf of chap.. He suggested a total tuneup along with a diagnostic which would cost aroung slr 5,000.00 plus.. and also asked him if he could sorta get me a bit more Oomph outa the car without any major modifications.... and he did say he'd do what he can....

I do understand this but dont you think it would be worth the while to at least explore the idea.... maybe even offer paid membership. given the fact that due to the numbers involved at AA in sri lanka and the number of forum users at Autolanka, financing would certainly be a task. True some of the forum members may even be students and they may not be able to afford a membership. But let us try and see a way around it where there would be added privileges to paid members, privileges that students or those under age would not have use for but for drivers could not be without.

I don’t mean that Autolanka should go to the extent of verifying if there was water or not...not at this juncture any way....that type of action could be taken in the future....more like contact both parties and merely post what they have to say. Let the members form their own opinion. Sort of like giving consumers a forum to post their grievances and organisations to address explain and exonerate themselves. Autolanka could charge the organisation for providing a real-time customer care forum. and may be even advertisements from organisations.

What Mr. isurujosh says is true we consumers are helpless and in my opinion it is because we choose to be so. From what I understand, the inspiration behind the formation of Automobile association was to help motorists avoid police speed traps. Even though the intention of forming the club at the time was not one of the best it has now become one of most service oriented organisations available (except in sri lanka .) I believe it is time that Autolanka make way in that direction; not entirely take over the tasks of an Automobile association but start organizing the members in that direction. For example if the Autolanka can verify the incident, not whether there was water or not as the first step. Autolanka could even go one step further and contact the parties concerned so that any errant person would be made aware of the implications of his actions and would be more careful. You could apply this to Insurance companies, spare part dealers, Agents, car sales ect…. I do understand that Autolanka may have apprehensions due to any legal processors that may be brought against them. However what I suggest is not that Autolanka provides opinions but just the facts of the incident along with proof after authenticating the accuracy of the claim.. Over to you moderators, Administrators owners of the site Autolank.com

This is definitely OT…..Where do I find these Tuned I Chips guys…..are they expensive…? How much do you think it would cost me to get an diagnostic done on my motor…..Do they do other makes other than Honda…..hmm like Toyota ?

I was at clean Park yesterday getting my car cleaned and I got to know that they now have a real time tyre pressure monitoring system available. Apparently it cost something in the range of SLR 22,000.00. I thought this info would be useful to the drag racers so that they can use it as a safety feature. Hope this does not come under advertising…

I hope that you all are aware of the queuing at all the fuel stations due to a shortage of fuel. For those of you not aware run like hell to the nearest station and hope the outlets will have enough to service you. If this is stale news I apologise. I drove all the way from Colombo to Nawala to fill my tank up. One thing I noticed was that there is a greater chance of you getting fuel from station further away from Colombo. I have given contact number to some stations and they have agreed to call me when they do get stock which probably will be in the afternoon…Will let you guys know. P.S I had to get 90 octane… does anyone know where I could get some sort of octane boost Cheers

watched the code movie yesterday......Yep....Over-hyped....and believe me nothing to write home about.....Tom Hanks could have been put to better use....and.. used our One-shot actors instead.... heh heh heh ...Just one dudes opinion....well.... in hind sight it was not that bad for one-shot actors to be used... Thanks guys for the suggested change of car... HE He he ...but not much of a Honda fan and dont think I will get to change my present car for some time.... Verossa is good.......now that I have had it for just over a year would love to go in for something bigger and faster....BUT..BUT... dont think office would let me....come to think of it no way in hell...Pics I have are from the web site of the dealer... Its for my Bro...Soooo....I would love doing it to my Verossa but it has one piece covering the Air Filter...Motor...and throttle body....Feel sorry to do awaywith it...Cheers...Just outa curiosity....What kinda power increase do you get by changing the air intake system ?

Ok dudes.... Here is a question from clueless me......Would removing the original air filter, the filter box and putting in a K&N Filter along with the heat shield and everything that requires it to connect to the motor cause it to do well on fuel..... Will it have an effect on the life of the Air Flow sensor…The car being Nissan and all ……......don’t ask me why this change has to be done on a N16......cause I know some modifications are not meant to be done on some cars…its just immoral…and some may call it unethical…. Cheers
