First, address the source of the prob,..The Mango tree, You may keep the tree and build a shed/roof to park your toys. Next try the following, Get a pot of boiling water or a good blow drier.,slowly saturate the dented aria so it's mega hot, then immediately cool the aria with icewater Take care not to burn your self!\ Although this may not be a 100% fix, you won't have to fill and paint. By doing this, you'll be making use of the shape-memory of steel activated by rapid changes of temperature Good luck..

Advice On First Car To Learn Driving
Twin Turbo replied to Sathindra's question in Car Buying Information
Hi, I'll keep it simple. Sorry I may repeat some of my fellow AL members, but we all want you to get motoring quickly and safely with minimal set-backs. 01. You must learn HOW to drive and handle a car, specially in city traffic, Go to a learner and when you get the hang of it 02.buy a simple, easy to buy, fix car and perfect your driving, 03.Get a job, you'll be limited only by your budget. you can't go wrong, I'm sure you'll make your parents proud,.. Good Luck ! TT. -
There's no fuse labeled central locking, intend the cabin electrics including courtesy lights, power mirrors run off a single fuse it's located in the sub fuse box in the driver side.

And you believe that? Sounds like an easy excuse which other-wise means, see you when the thing fails! No one will be mad enough to service a car thrown away in Jap before export. Any dealer will say , that it's the owner/user's responsibility to maintain their car. At least now, forget the abusive past of the car, and stick to the maintenance and ATF recommended by TL. And how sure are you of the mileage?

Car transmission servicing Local style,.... If it runs, Don't service it. Our blokes wouldn't find the fill point from the flux capacitor, even if they looked,..Then, they have no tools or no fluid to fill it with, So what's not broken gets left lone.which is easier, cheaper, taking the local climate and average driving, I'd replace the stuff with an equivalent once a year,.. TT.
-
Personally, I'd go with option B.. with your rate of charging, you'll need a push after a night drive,.. and you'll soon blow the alti you have now.and damage your battery. But you are open to infinite possibilities,.. Have you considered a/c for the front? AL will have recommended places 4 you to get the work done. + Remember to replace the belt with a thicker B size belt.to stop slippage. Goodluck.! TT P.s, Also get a set of H4 head lamps, as I can't stand sealed beams.SINCE YOU'VE GOT SPACE, WHY NOT DUEL BATTERIES?
-
The alternator is std fitted for the model without A/c. So if you're thinking of fitting an A/c, get a suitably sized unit of at leaset a 95 A while your at it , get a 95D31R (90Ah) BATTERY
-
Cross drilled ventilated discs with painted calipers,...Mmmmm :-) For your nicely working A/c, might I recommend getting an adjustable thermostat switch fixed to the A/c system rather than playground with the system which someone got just right,..i.E FREEZING COLD,.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/HELLA-Thermostat-SWITCH-6ZT351009-021-/151420757068?hash=item234161644c:g:reEAAOSw-jhUInCi&vxp=mtr Cheers! p.S, The cherry on top,.. a cat back hi-flow exhaust,..! TT.

Good to hear work on the upgrades, have you thought on the head lights,? ( what ever you do DON'T put 100W bulbs ), The fry thre reflectors and cook the wirig Yes, the nose looks kike Darth-Vadar's helmet, but the lighta let the show down don't it? And the brakes, a dec ent set of stoppers will come handy when you get thee beast seroiusly going,.. TT.

What guarantee do we have all pumps selling 95 are actually dispense the stuff we pay for? And the accuracy of the meters? ( in the dispencing pumps)
-
The heav-duty de greasers used by our service stations to squeeky clean engine bay may have been a contributor to this.. Just imagine the state of the electrical system TO TREAT THIS, SPRAY SOME WD40 TT.

Go to Premadasa Engineers,on the middle of Darley Road. Meet the resident Big Wig, Ye ole Mr Premadasa's son,..If he cant fix it, Hell know someone who can. Good luck TT.
-
Q: Does you car have an A/c system factory fitted? . At any rate I recommend a new compressor,So you'll need a mounting kit with one.( which you'll have to get custom made. )Do the above plus a cooling system flush and add coolant into the rad. Good luck with the steering job. TT.
-
Extreme temps in the engine bay turns rubber into plastic. Don't forget to add a small hose clamp on the connection for extra leak protection.
-
Could be the door-beeding not sealing properly. The accessory shops at Darley Road might be able to help. Get the windscreeen checked for leaks while your at it.

With your enthusiasm Id put my time and money on the A/c ! also look at the charging system as the original system has a mechanical voltage regulator to the alternator.+ it could do with an update with a unit having a built-in IC regulator alternator. You'll need a new crank pulley to run the power steering pump. Don't forget to ad a cooler for the fluid for good measure. As for your Engine,.. Ger a good tuneup, replace everything (filters, plug wires contact points+condenser, dizzy cap, rotor, and plugs) plus a good lube service for good measure by replacing all oils ( engine, gear box ,diff and Brake fluid) Keep the value and originality of the car.And have a good look at the T belt, it may need changing Enjoy the freedom of motoring! Effect Of Not Having Radiator Fan Cover(Shroud)
Twin Turbo replied to andunslg's question in Mechanical problems
You've seen a prob and identified the cause,.. Good, now lets fix it. Look for any chop-shop selling a front/nose cut of a L200. it will most certainly have the radiator.Provided they sell you just the radiator,..I must stress upon the fact that no chop-shop will sell you just the shroud. So don't go looking for one.. While on the subject of Engine overhating while stationary, you might want have a look at the Cooling fan viscus coupling unit ,.commonly known as the fan-clutch. Get the fan shroud sorted first and have a look at the cooling fan when the engine has warmed up to check if it runs without slipping Good luck beating the heat! TT -
Wishing you the Same. Engines running hot and over heating can be caused by a number of contributory factors,.. and yes internal blockages of the cooling system can cause the engine to run hot. Have you checked the operation of cooling fans with the A/c on?the increase in blower speed cannot be directly linked to the engine over heating , but would cause the system to work for longer causing greater strain on the cooling system which having an issue an is now showing it by overheating.the engine Cleaning the condensir with pressurised water should be carefully done as it may cause bent cooling fins blocking air flow leading to even more overheating. Getting this fixed immediately before it leads to costly head-aches should be a top priority. TT. P.s. This car is 17 years old. how is the engine's compression / mileage? this may be your engine asking for a rebuild. To get the best performance from the A/c., I have got my side windows and rear windscreen tinted, and always keep the fresh air vent firmly closed.
-
You are right to be concerned, and have answered yourself Yes, 1.get the entire system checked 2. flush the brake fluid from all the wheels. Your brake pedal flooring temporarily looks like it was caused by overheating caused by excessive usage or binding of a wheel cylinder/caliper. Glad it didn't happen when coming down Kadugannawa. TT

Oil Presure Lignht Blinks - Toyota Townace Cr27
Twin Turbo replied to pragas dhoni's question in Mechanical problems
Not bad for a VEHICLE RUN FOR NEARLY A QUARTER OF A CENTURY! If you show this to a Garage, the first thing they'll recommend is an overhaul.which you may or may not need. What ever engine oil you use it will not "grow back" worn components in an engine, 1. Replace the oil pressure switch. Very cheap compared to an overhaul.Remember to replace it with a new aluminium washer and don't over tighten it. 2. Add an oil viscosity additive to the engine ( mix with the oil) - Just ask any Fuel station or spare parts shop. it'l a thick fluid like honey. Hope for the best and drive in to the sun set! TT. -
Oil Presure Lignht Blinks - Toyota Townace Cr27
Twin Turbo replied to pragas dhoni's question in Mechanical problems
What is the year/Engine? Wht color is the light.. There is a yellow low oil level indicator, What is the engine oil you use? -
Ever considered the effect the "Jumbo rubber" will have on your brakes? (The increased weight and related inertia) I don't want you to find out the hard way,.. but there's a distinct possibility that you'll be very unpleasantly surprised the moment you step on the "stop" pedal ,.. + TT.

Sti 4 Timing Belt - The Truth , The Ultimate Truth
Twin Turbo replied to mad123456's topic in SUBARU
Rare car maintenance be it by the Agent or a specialist garage needs 1. Them to stock Genuine spares, 2, To have skilled , experienced techs to do the job. Apart from the belt you need the tensioner, rollers,Dampers, oil-seals, outer drive belts for alternator/ power steering + A/c ect All of the above costs any company dealing with any rare car lots, and the T belt kit is a 100000km/6year service. so the long swervice interval and the above make the prices youb see for the T belt kit replacement Even if you find the parts cheap outside you can' tt replace it your self. With lots of look-like genuine parts out side, be careful as there have been failures before the recommended change interval.++ As for coil-overs , I find it harder to evenly adjust them than fitting them,.. TT. -
Reinvent the wheel , Do-not. Your system seems to be working ok, why do you want to reduce the cooling of your A/c? The two cooling fans may have been installed by a bloke who obviously knew what he was doing, otherwise you'd be complaining of it not cooling in the day time. Worry not of the leaves on the ground been blown you should, instead, Enjoy your A/c , TT. P.s As long as your alternator is doing it's job you shouldn't have any thing to worry about. If not just upgrade it.

It's very simple, just follow this,.. Good luck.
