Damn! My heart sank!

I guess you are one of those people who think a Toyota 1500CC engine will do 20 KMPL

Platz... pardon me friends but isn't platz the ugly duckling of the Toyota family? Why not a Soluna?

Thanks 3000cc but I only want the Turbocharger of a 4D56T.

Legasy B4, A Beautiful beast! A mix of style and power! Go for a good one!

Thanks for reading my post. Does anyone know a place where I can buy a new Turbo for Mitsubishi 4D56T engine? And the approximate price of one.

I do the engine tuneup and throttlebody cleanup at the Nissan Agents. They do a pretty good job.

First of all, thanks for the valuable analysis you shared with us. Congrats on the stats Isuru. I guess for a car of the size of Cefiro, yours do well on fuel. I got a Sunny (manual transmission) which actually does around 9-10Kmpl in the city. However what I have discovered is that the car needs to be properly cared for, to do that. Original air filter, throttle body cleanup and engine tuning every 35000 kms, good synthetic or semi-synthetic engine oil, graceful driving is the formula to use. Not everyone takes care of their cars, so I think the owners are to be blamed for the poor fuel consumption. Having said that I wonder whether things are different for Toyotas, don't they have to be pampered to get the maximum out of them? or they are usually well looked after by the owners because they have paid a hefty sum?

I would go for a Honda Fit because of the nice looks (Swift is not bad but the Fit just looks nice and practical).

Once I saw a Diesel Tank being repaired at the garage. They drained the tank and removed the it. Then they washed and wiped its interior clean for any remaining fumes. They removed the floater and left it open probably to ease any pressure buildup within the tank. Even after that the welder was so very cautious welding it. I was wondering why. Now I get it. I saw them welding it and putting some kind of eproxy from outside the tank to finish the job. Not sure whether that's the correct way of doing the job though. The interior of the tank looked as if it is brand new. But there were tiny holes near the drain plug. The mechanic at the garage said it is best to avoid welding the tank coz the torch would burn the protective layer inside the tank (TIN ?), and they do it only when there is no other solution.

Nothing to be curious of. Third party insurance is becoming popular because of the GREEDY INSURANCE COMPANIES which suck and feed on the blood and bone marrow of poor car owners.

hmm... if you have never seen this car in SL, there is a good chance that you might find it difficult to find spare parts. From your explanation its 10 years old. You might need spares down the line. Just give some thought on this.

Thanks for reading my post. I was wondering whether any of you have come across a place in SL that repairs Turbochargers. Or even a place that have repair kits or brand new/repaired turbochargers for sale.

Well Isuru... I'm a Nissan fan too. They deliver Good quality for very reasonable prices. But I'm afraid, I doubt that the Merc. market could be budged. If Nissan really wants to go for the cake I guess they will have to setup a separate high value, luxury brand and hide away the Nissan name. Yes, the bunch that buys Benz just don't want to be traveling in a car with the average car owner's badge on it. Digging the history, when Volvo decided they'd cater not only the upper market band, but also the upper-middle class, they slashed their car prices to boost quantity. As a reply to this move, Mercedes increased their price. Guess what happened... Mercedes got increased sales while Volvo sales plunged... (don't remember the exact year though... read it in a marketing book). The lesson is that the market for Mercs is not governed by technical quality, performance or price. Its the status quo that comes with the brand. I'm sure half the Merc customers do not understand any of those technical or performance details...

If that interior is original, I want to congratulate the person(s) who owned this car for taking such good care of it. However is that a wire hanging under steering column? (could this beauty be skin deep?) Nice... simply nice to see a car in this condition.

This is one cool handy phone. Love the looks. Should be excellent with SE build quality.

Checked some mud tires from them, they were too expensive and too worn out... Dev do you know these people?
-
Gee... I thought its only in SL we have jokes like this... I guess CARB would be utterly happy if your car has a chrome paint on it. After all its nearly 100% reflective.

I've been using Nokia's for years. And was an avid fan until 3 of my Nokia phones (N80, 3210 classic, 3210 Classic internet ed), malfunctioned within months from buying. The old Nokias are awesome and hardy. But now it seems they are delivering poorest quality for the grandest price. Will never buy Nokias. From my personal experience, I suggest SE phones if you want to go for a mid range handset. But if you want a smart phone, go for an Android phone. I've got a HTC Google N1 and love it! Delivers better user experience than an Apple 3GS for half the price. Here are the specs for N1 HTC Google N1 Spec Google N1 Review at GSM Arena

James Bond's famed Aston Martin for sale LONDON (Reuters Life!) – James Bond's 1964 Aston Martin DB5, dubbed by auto auctioneers RM Auctions on Tuesday as the "world's most famous car," will go under the hammer in London in October and is expected to fetch over $5 million. It is the first time the distinctive silver-colored car has been available to the public to buy. It is one of two, and the sole remaining, of the original "007" DB5s that appeared on screen with Sean Connery behind the wheel in "Goldfinger" and "Thunderball," RM Auctions said in a statement. The model comes complete with its "Q-Branch" gadgets including machine guns, bullet-proof shield, revolving number plates, tracking device, removable roof panel, oil slick sprayer, nail spreader and smoke screen. Several of the gadgets are fully operational, although the machine guns are not real. The car is being sold by U.S. radio broadcaster Jerry Lee, who convinced the Aston Martin Lagonda factory to sell it for $12,000 in 1969, becoming its first and only ex-factory owner. It has remained in his possession and has rarely been seen publicly over the past 40 or so years. Lee plans to use the proceeds from the sale for the Jerry Lee Foundation. It will be auctioned on October 27.
