  1. Hello Pasindu111 If I am not mistaken you can only have a front plate with a black background if the vehicle is a post "Sri" era. I can remember we been charged with 150 rupees by swapping the front and rare number plates in our Delica P25 (Delica front plate fitted to the side of the front bumper) When officers are desperate for money, they will walk around to find some case 😀 So my advice is to try to avoid all the possible points. regards, JC
  2. Hello Iroshw, Sad to hear your story! Hope you or your mate who removed the plug replaced the head gasket? Best to consult the tech who had replaced the head gasket and explain the situation. N.B. I have noticed you looking to top up with the Lucas Stop leak, to me, it is a waste of money but it it's your choice. regards JC.
  3. Eyeing out for a set of Watanabe but unfortunately, we have gone to a lockdown here in New Zealand. Need to wait to lift the levels. I like the Lancer wheels
  4. Del Sol had a fresh paint recently, picked up last Friday night from the paint shop and had some time yesterday to burn some gas. regards, JC
  5. Hello Kasun, Sounds like you trying make apple from wood apple. Why don't you try with matching Toyota 4WD parts? If you check your truck model year and try source the 4WD model parts for the Toyota from Same era, I am sure it should save lot of time and may be money too. regards, JC
  6. I think wife is still inside the bathroom but here is the car. 😊 regards, JC
  7. I have done a quick scan with Fast site, I can see some 2004 KIA's within your range if you keen. regards, JC
  8. Hello Nushi, Looking at the photo I can see, FCM, Auto high beam and Land Departure system which is part of the Safety package. Best to scan and look for any fault codes. regards, JC
  9. Once I can remember garage replaced the pads for the car with "Original" pads and about 6 months later we realized the original pads had eaten the disks that's how good some of them are in SL.
  10. I don't think Brembo's are cheap, this is what I have paid for my STI pads recently. This is the highest price I have paid for a set of pads by far. 😄
  11. I don't think the visible inspection is possible to check the key barrel, may be once the key in the on position, try move the key up and down and try pull out and put back in (Make sure to NOT to use lot of force) See if you see any different in the time with the immobilizer light. If the time changes when you try multiple times then most likely the key barrel. Your decision to consult the dealers would be the correct decision. regards, JC
  12. may be worth check the ignition key barrel ??? regards JC
  13. Is the immobilizer light always coming up after about 5min or is that time change?
  14. A few years back I have sent about 20 Desktop PC's that I have had from my old company which I have sent them distributed to schools/ students who can't afford one. 5 of the CPU's taken off by an officer in charge and the balance released. So I think 5 PC's taken as tax 😀
  15. Is you SX4 is key less start with rotation dial or key in model? Glad to see a SX4 Hatch in SL and hope it is AWD model. 😊 regards, JC
  16. Ha Zinger, Worth checking if the dripping tube clogged with some debris?? It was the case for one of my mate recently in SL. Best to check with a reputed A/C tech and it could be what iRage indicated. regards, JC.
  17. Bugatti Rimac deal and Mate as CEO to operate the Bugatti Rimac. https://www.theverge.com/2021/7/5/22563898/bugatti-rimac-electric-supercar-acquisitoin-deal Mate announcing the deal
  18. Nice! Look for the service history, If I am not mistaken 2015 fitted with the 7 speed DSG box, not the 6 speed. 7 Speed is a dry clutch. Look for any noises when it's downshifting. It is normally very smooth and no shudders. When you starting from a flat ground your dashboard gear indicator will show you it is starting from the 2nd gear which is normal for Diesel Tig's but make sure to change all the gears using the Tiptronic option, don't forget to test the reverse too. Look for the service records, Look for cambelt replacement and the most important service is the Haldex unit oil change. I am sure it has to be done every 40k service. Check the auto hold option works as it should and the electronic parking brake system operates as it should (Try to operate multiple times) The last thing, check for the tailpipe, it has to be clean inside, if it is clean that indicates us the DPF works well if you see a lot of black ash inside the tailpipe better to take the car to a reputed tech and check how much DPF clogged with ash. You can open the tailgate and look for the spare wheel, on your left-hand side you will see a white sticker, take a photo of that, that should tell you a lot of details about your car and this is something common for VW's regards, JC
  19. Hello Lahiru, Welcome to AL. Is the Tig you going to buy, TDI (Diesel) or TSI (Petrol) model? regards, JC
  20. Early EJ20's had this head gasket issue (Maybe due to thin water jackets??) I was a bit lucky not to be in that territory as yet 🙂 About the turbo models and other details, best to check the chassis plate and decode that (Plenty of details online to decode) Should we need to stay away from modified??? I am not sure, some of them nicely done to a level that you not able to tell that by looking at them. eg: I have seen nicely done Starlet's to Glanza V's, but it's so hard to tell the original birth certificate of the car by looking at them. regards, JC
  21. @auduwerella If I am not mistaken I have seen a Gen 2 XT Turbo dressed with SG kit recently posted in SL. I don't think I have done long trips with Legacy but my brother had a twin turbo model which seems good around corners compared to the forester. I had the 2015 SJ XT Turbo which is okay with the CVT box, when I change hands it has done 215,000km, other than the usual maintenance I haven't noticed any issues. Most of the electronics from the DENSO brand so that's something you can trust on. looks for a Subi maintained well, stay away from early EJ's if possible. Turbo engines not that economical to drive so i am sure you are aware about the fuel consumption with Subi's In my view, any Turbo manual Subi focused on the driving experience and you won't be disappointed. regards, JC
  22. Hello Chinthaka89, I will add little to the SX4 model, you will get them as 4 door sedan and a 5 door hatch. The Hatch version is famous between senior citizens and ladies due to good visibility, good turning circle, easy in and out from front seats and later models from 08 came with side-impact airbags. You will get them with 4 speed auto, 5 speed manual or later fitted with CVT box. some of them fitted with an on-demand 4WD wheel drive system which is great. I have seen them with 1.5 and 2.0 petrol engines. I have hardly seen any issue with Suzuki engines but please stay away from early model CVT's. They are great cars, I am sure you should be able to hunt for a one way cheaper than 141 Corolla. regards, JC.
  23. Here is the new addition to my collection. SG9 Subi It is JDM only production if i am not mistaken and very hard to come by specially factory stock condition. Stay safe everyone. JC.
