Is the 2017 Suzuki Swift RS a full hybrid?
kush replied to u.work's question in Car Buying Information
Hybrid will cost you Rs. 650k more on taxes against the gem of the range RSt which is cheaper only to the full hybrid SL (ZC43S) RSt has more options like the body kit and peddle shift... and is the cheapest in SL RSt is Rs. 800K less in SL and as it is a non hybrid most probably will have less depreciation. I have not seen full hybrids available for sale in SL -
congrats, good choice.

Even the new car has the same engine so expect similar economy

Finding parts in SL will be difficult as it is not a mainstream / popular vehicle here. You will have to order and wait. Consumables (air/oil filters) etc. may be common with other Toyota siblings. You will have to do your own research and find out

Toyota Vitz 1.0 vs Suzuki Swift 1.0 RS turbo
kush replied to dilshant80's question in Car Buying Information
why are you comparing the basic car and the highest grade, two cars are intended to separate segments. -
A3, A-class, 2 Series might be in you range VW Jetta, Ford Focus, few Peugeots I would look at Mazda too closest to Euro experience without the vises
-
Vitz

Montero Sport Montero sport is based on the L200 pickup and is made in Thailand it is made for harsh conditions. L450 is a Luxury SUV based on car platforms more suited for Urban/ on road conditions L450 will be a classy vehicle and will not be out of place anywhere.

Two vehicles have basically nothing in common Depends on your requirements you will need to decide which suits you

Hi Anyone has experience with new CRV (2017) Has good reviews from US, Australia How is it on local conditions, 1.5 L turbo /CVT, fuel consumption I know it is rather early but have seen few around for couple of months now. Thinking whether to upgrade from my 2013 2.0 L

Not so, my car was rammed by a bus and the car written off and the driver was injured. police did not filed any charges against my driver, but he needs to appear as a witness for the case which is now dragging and on the third hearing. Better check with the police where the entry was made to make sure you don't have to appear. All the best

kush replied to Bassa's question in Car Buying Information
If unreg, non at your price range. If ok with a hatch back, Vitz, Swift, etc... -
I get around 12kmpl Mix driving (including Parliament drive) in the Picanto 2017 (auto), car is driven hard This has been more or less consistent for the last 10k km, may be you will be able to get bit more with bit of light right foot. Axia may not be any better, if you want better economy get a wagon R (660cc)

Audi A1 1.0 TFSI vs Ford Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost
kush replied to dantoddd's question in Car Buying Information
both have local agents why don't you check with them Sunday papers have a list of dealer ads if you care to look -
UK regular petrol is 95 octane which we have over here You may need to use premium oil (syntactic) generally turbos require them, which is available here Only bit of concern is whether the cooling system and the a/c could cope up. Most of the JDMs cope well with our climate, so does majority of other UK imports apart from few older generation Peugeots

Glad I'm driving a CRV, we all know the kind of people who drive around in X-Trails

I have heard of CVT and engine sludge issues in Toyotas. Any car will have issues if you do not properly take care if them

Best vehicle to buy post Nov 2017 budget
kush replied to dilshant80's question in Car Buying Information
Civic is 2017 generation, Premio debut in 2007, 10 year generation gap Honda has more power, it is better than the last generation, will be more safer. Your Premio would have done over 60k may be 100k and clocked, where as Honda will be 0 milage When you are selling assuming on 5 years, Honda will be 5 years old where as the Premio will be 10 years Go for the newer better car, feeling when you get a brand new car is very much different go take a risk- 129 replies

Best vehicle to buy post Nov 2017 budget
kush replied to dilshant80's question in Car Buying Information
Most of the 1.0 L are coming from UK, Civic 1.0L is manufactured in UK for Euro market. They cater for cars used mainly in cities and has huge tax advantages due to low emissions. It make sense even in Sri Lankan context when the price difference of the 1.0 L and a 1.5 L would be over 50% or Rs. 3.0 Mn. Most of the cars in SL averages speeds less than 20 km/h and highway speeds are restricted to 100 km/h Personally I enjoy a good nippy handling 1.0L trying to squeeze out every bhp rather than trying to control a 300 bhp + beast in SL roads.- 129 replies

kush replied to dilshant80's question in Car Buying Information
This should may be 1.0 Turbo, replacement for 1.2 Duty for 1.2 will be Rs. 3.3 M final price of Rs. 5.5 Mn. not possible Best in my view Civic 1.0 Turbo Audi Q2, A1, A3 Suzuki Swift 1.0 RSt, Toyota Vitz if you need Jap If you can afford Range Rover- 129 replies
