    Err hate to be the cheapskate here but three of my lorries,one MG and even the Trooper is running with re-lined pads.So far no harm was done to the drums.Bare in mind these are high mileage and heavy load carrying behemoths.I see no discernible difference in performance between brand new and relined pads to be honest.Obviously the environmental impact is one that I haven't thought of.Ofcourse if you can afford it it is better to go for brand new pads...Now I'm outta here before some video game rally champions start bashing me. Oh and one more thing,If you're looking to get pads relined, try Rohana Motors at Kelaniya(Near the Tyre Junction).

OK let's say I'm not suited to judge anybody...What makes you think you can advice a guy to only performance mods when he's just looking for a bodykit? In other words I'm asking what projects or what qualifications and experience you have?

    You need to learn what a real Type R is...Search the internet please.For example the chassis.The real car has had chassis stregthnings with the perfect amount of flex.The handling is what made the Type R the legend it is.What Komi has is just a manual Integra that handles like a floppy bag in corners.This is not me saying this.It's according to people who actually driven both real Type Rs and Komis fake sticker poser mobile. That is just one of the many differeances between Komis car and the real deal. And secondly,just because bugger logged on to ebay,brought down some branded performance bits doesn't make it right,nor does it make his car a integra Type R,just like an evo body kit on a lancer doesn't make it an evo.And the word is Ashan charged an arm and a leg just to take those bits off.

All Lancers may be some rare exotic car to you,to be put on a plinth and worshipped.But to everyone else it is just a shiity sedan....Let the guy have his fun and put a bodykit on it.He wants to be a ricer,so be it.It's his wish...you don't have to save him! The last guy who tried to preach performancy is building himself a cataloy sculpture while the garage keeps ripping him off...he has also had to resort to invent motorshows just to display his Integra (with Type R tickers),cos nobody is paying any attention to it. Don't be another Komi.

    Yes it is very frowned upon...Just like the time we frowned upon a guy putting a manual gearbox on his Honda and put Type R stickers on it and called it a Type R...Is that not "Ricing up a car so that it looks and sounds like something it's actually not "? Yes yes you frowned the shit out of it...puka thamai.     I agree with the comments above whole heartedly.If they'd just turn down the scripted "comedy bits" a bit the show would be much better. To be honest,apart from dad,Jeremy Clarkson had the most influence on me when I was growing up to become this car crazed nut I am now.I still remember watching old Top Gear when it was shown on BBC when I was a kid(This was back when we had only three channels.Rupavahini,ITN and BBC)...He was,and still is, the king of car reviews.That BMW i8 review he did on the current series is a masterpiece.But I hate this persona he created for himself for the new format.This bumbling,racist,bigotted buffoon that is supposed to represent us petrolheads.

I watched 'Let me in'.It's sort of a Horror flick I guess.But there are no real scares.Instead you get this facinating little story.I enjoyed it very much.The original Swedish version is supposed to be better.

    Looks like it's gonna be a Mercedes year again.And I do not think it'll be a close fight between ROS and HAM like last year either.I think Hamilton will just run away with the championship. Arnold was awesome on the podium interviews.

    Most probably the fuel pump is to blame.The pumps that were exposed to the bad petrol few years ago was never the same again.I had to change mine on the CRX cos it had similar simptoms to yours.Check the the tank and fuel lines for while you're at it...

    Ahhh but you have to have the right car my grass hoppers... As per my experience.One sure fire way is to get a classic white convertible in mint condition.Then go park it at a porch of one of those posh hotels and see the magic happen...Now that won't get a girlfriend by itself but it'll help in attracting the female kind to you and to break the ice.The rest is up to you. I have now passed my wisdom on to you my padawans...Use it wisely.

    Usually when a guy asks me if he can afford a car or not,he can't. 70k per month is a pretty decent salary.People manage to own cars with less income...but zero savings part is a bit worrying as there surely will be added expenses on top of the lease. The question is not what your friends and family are saying,it is wether you NEED a car a car or not.Will the ownership of a car considerably improve your life and make it easier and more efficient.If so,go for it. A little tip.When buying a car do not buy one for the maximum amount you can afford or borrow.Keep it between the 60-80% mark.

    Agree.This was coming for sometime with all those controversies.To be honest I do not think he is a racist or has any issues with Argentina over the Falklands War.He is just creating controversies for the sake of creating controversy.It is true that the media can be bit overly PC these days but forcing offensive incidents to happen or saying blatantly racist things(like the slope joke) is in very poor taste.It would have been sort of OK if the jokes very funny.I've seen people like Jimmy Carr and Frankie Boyle get away with far more offensive jokes on British TV because they were genuinely funny.
