  1. Could be mounts as well.
  2. Battery tech is same, but of course the sizes differ. Then again the operating systems are similar as they run on android based software. I would say small differences would be there in terms of interior quality, features and tech being used (radar etc). But its the same with other manufacturers as well, sometimes you get a lot of badge engineered versions and same company siblings.
  3. Well the other models are different, as in they will have a luxury arm with vehicles with 800hp and above (the jumping supercar and swimming SUV), then you will have their Petrol Hybrids (one of them did 1000km range or something like that), then there will be their FB brand which will build SUV's and double cabs. This is all excluding the impressive commercial vehicles.
  4. All those EV models by the brand that is being sold globally have a sea specific name, its going to be one big company in the coming years with so many sub brands coming under their umbrella.
  5. @Duan27 take the floor as I did not give the answer Forgot to mention the bullet proof vehicles I mentioned are vehicles in Sri Lanka.
  6. Built on a truck platform specially for the Asian and Oceania markets to compete with the others who made truck based SUV's like the Hilux Surf and Nissan Terrano / Pathfinder of old. Didnt have much success in Sri Lanka. Let me in on something about these vehicles, there are 4 bullet proof versions of this model (but previous gen) which you will not be able to distinguish at all even if they were next to you.
  7. Quirky French manufacturer: Citroen Airline Code for Cathay Pacific: CX Considered the last great big Citroen, they built something aerodynamic when everyone else were making boxy cars. The MOTORMAG article was about arct. Aquila Peiris's Citroen which was / is a CX Pallas Automatic. https://www.classix.se/sold-cars/161-citroen-cx-2400-pallas-p-o-r https://online.fliphtml5.com/rrhy/luuf/#p=54
  8. Well the Motormag article from 8 years ago shows a pristinely kept car belonging to the renown architect, so I assume its in running condition. And its a PALLAS on the ground. I remember in my old motormag collections there was a rusty old one for sale in the early 2000s, if memory serves right it was a station wagon. Should dig those old mags at home. So I take it you and @matroska have cracked it. Should I give the answer?
  9. Quirky indeed, how the speedometer and rev counter? Doesnt get more weirder than that. Also check out those speakers on the doors and the mirror controls.
  10. Ok so then next one will be a bit different. The car was originally built to run a ROTARY engine and later changed to a normal engine. A very beautiful car, was featured on the Motormag about 8 years ago. Very simple dashboard design. Forgot to mention that it had a 168hp GTi version as well.
  11. Since no one was willing to the gamble its a Ford Grenada Mk2, was also sold as a Hyundai Grenada
  12. I gave a clue let see how other respond.
  13. That has classic 80s boxy styling, but I think its a car that can confuse anyone specially the rear tail lights on the version that you have posted, has German styling to them I would say (considering it was built in Germany).
  14. Also you have to beware of the ides of March as per the soothsayers to Julius Caesar.
  15. Only in the name, looked like a 90s Hyundai, lacked to much Carisma in this.... I thought this might confuse all. Over to you @iRage
  16. Why not actually I found the ideal candidate for trivia today morning. They were drunk when they designed the rear of this car no way it attracted the local buyers.
  17. This one time it was the best selling car in Japan. Competition should have taken notes from the success.
  18. Yes it is. A few came to the country in 2014/15
  19. Ok then here goes, A few running around in the country. I will post some clues if its too hard
  20. Please dont duplicate threads.
  21. The Carina was offered as a Taxi version till 1998, hence the reason why you see a few 65- Carina of that model around in Sri Lanka. (I have seen a few Blues and some whites). On the Toyota and Freudenberg: when the Toyota started their operations in Sri Lanka they acquired all the staff from Freudenberg, they had used to work from Dematagoda place until the TL building was completed and the workshop was moved to new premises. My aftesales head had been there during that time and he related the story how strict the Japs were when moving stuff and working according to the plan. He talked about how he had to give a moving plan and how it was rejected after looking at the efficiency. Also shows how in depth knowledge the Japs had when they asked him to plan the after sales floor for reception again the bug guy had said wrong and had pointed out how the power lines and communication lines would be blocked if they went with the plan. So many stories I think we should have a separate thread to talk about the history of the dealerships in Sri Lanka
  22. There was an image of a BLUEBIRD in the SKYLINE, but seems its not so but coming from a constellation CARINA. Did you know that there is a KA67V wagon picture on wikipedia that is from Sri Lanka?
  23. I would suggest that you get a AT type tyre 225 / 235 after all its just a matter of the width. As suggested you could look at the Maxxis Bravo 751 which is a 215 size. I think other you get at that size would be more like HT tires, unless you go for a different brand with an aggressive pattern at a larger size.
  24. Yes it is the gen 1 BMW X6. Floor is yours, I was waiting for someone to come up with a car, but you nailed it.
