Is the break up true about Hamil? Force India continue to amaze. I'm wondering where the new found pace has come from. I know there's been a tech transfer from Merc but then, they've been even better than McLaren in the last two!

Here's my two cents worth. Having driven both cars a lot, I must say that the Mazda is far far superior than the City. For one the Mazda suspension is a lot more sophisticated and there is huge difference in the way it handles and rides. We had two Mazdas, now have one. The 1.5 gave us 10km/l flat in the city(not the car ) in traffic. The 1.6 we have now gives us 9km/l. Did lots of KMs in Thailand many times over many years. Not one bit impressive even on their smooth roads and highways. I really don't think there is a comparison here as the cars are from two different classes. The 323's proper rival is the Civic not the City. The City's rival should be a Demio/Mazda 2 sedan if ever there was one! I would go for the Mazda.

Anyone know what I can use to keep matt black or flat black looking good? Tried regular wax and the plastic bumper polish but the result isn't great.

Buggati, It's like leaving a devil and getting Satan him self as a replacement ! The stories I've heard about L a l A................ I had a near miss with him. A company car (Nissan FB15) over heated just near his work shop due to cooling fan failure. He insisted that the head be taken out phased and new gasket put in. Luckily I did not agree and towed the car to a trusted mech who simple repaired the fan, and that was that. We used it for a couple of years after that. Anyway getting back to the stories about how he even talks to his customers make me wanna kick dirt in his nose. Two of my friends have had big tiffs with him. The thing is many think he's some super star coz he comes on TV...... Talk about a dumb public....

I think it is the ideal time to pick up a 500 or 600. I'm sure many people don't realize how valuable these cars are so they can be picked up for relatively low prices. .....but this trend won't last forever. Being small the body resto isn't going to be massive. Only finding rare parts might prove a bit pricey.

We were all amazed at its cruising ability. We let it lead the run and thought it will hold everyone back. But it really did not. It could cruise at 80km/h with ease!

I had a few bad experiences with the guy as well. It was with regard to his inability to diagnose a problem with an auto box but kept bluffing that he fixed it and charged me.

Good to hear that you're keeping the 500. They are quite pricey in other markets. I asked about the 2CV era because I feel its nice to choose a colour from that era. many people choose mdern colours for older cars and they seldom match. Yes maybe it's a bit too modern for your car. Then you can go for Lancia Blu which funny enough was a Fiat colour in the 70's. It's important IMO to get an original colour as even subtle deviation could upset the car. After all as you know Italians are artists above all. Just look at that X 1/9 that's being advertised. One of the reason not many people are attracted to it is that hideous colour that's off a Honda CRV! If the same car had it's original blackish green it might have been a different story. Sure looks like a Mazda hatch.

Great to hear that the MG A and the Deux Cheveux are nearing completion. What colour is the 2CV going to be? I know the frustrations of restoration. In fact my ones are now driving me off the edge. Yes White is THE Abarth colour. But what do you think of the gray?
