brakes ARE brembo mate... I'll show you the Test.... and suprisingly all the reviews said that the chassis could more than handle the power...... you don't neccessarily have to have a VG30DE and Rear Drive to make a drivers car u knw

Yeah agree with you on that but why Not the TT? it isn't exactly the ultimate drivers car is it? (not since the 2000 Oversteer-Killing mods) and it really is a car that puts style before much else..... Looks Killer though

Yup it's a non turbo which had a stock output of 222HP...... plus this car has a performance exhaust (Those tailpipes are DEFINITELY not Stock ) so theres prbly a cpl of horses there....... anyway NA or not..... I can say from experience, that car is FAST

Machan I have 2 disagree...... the E36 was built to a pretty high standard..... and it has a reputation for quality (maybe not so much as the E30 but then...) also If one looks hard enough, a cracking car can be unearthed.... but i'll admit that it IS old, thirsty and comparatively expensive to fix.... and in that sense the carina is a better buy....... If you admit the beemer has it Pasted for driving pleasure.....

It stands for Targa top..... where you can remove part of the roof panels (usually on sports cars) leaving a section of the cabin open...... the panels will be usually solid, or glass.... not canvas like a full convertible........ KITT on Knight Rider had T tops.... and the "Buy" Section of the Site has an ad which illustrates T-tops to good effect.... check it out its the "Fairlady Z" btw

Tell me about it!!! that green T-top was advertised again in the ##### some time back for 2.2....... can't have been more than a year...... dunno what happened to it afterthat tho..... haven't even seen it on the road...... wonder if it was repainted a diff color.....

well bro for 1.7 you should be looking at anything from 18 to about 300 im guessing...... with beemers it depends a LOT on the seller and the model........ if petrol costs are not a big issue try gong for one of the Six cylinder cars..... 320i, 325i or 328i..... those are BRILLIANT!!! but a 318i in good shape with a good maintainence history is a sound buy...... get the October issue of the Motor mag, there is a group test with the 3 series in it...... check the car that won!! seriously though, if a 3 series is well maintained and has a low Mileage, he number is not an issue...... great cars are great cars, whatever the plate is....... The regata was a cool car...... Esp With that Brilliant Twin Cam!!! heard it had a nice line in lift off oversteer too

Spot on..... it seems more of a "Lads" mag with an emphasis on cars, than the CAR we know and love..... I've been buying some 1990's copies lately and the difference is just shocking.......! "World's Best Car Magazine"? Not Anymore..... If Top Gear Mag works on the layout a bit more...... They'd deffa have CAR well and truly beaten

Duncan, I think you are right...... Seems to be an international Malady as well...... Take CAR Magazine (UK).... They used to have a No-Holes-Barred Approach to reviewing; if a car was Bad they'd say so.... they caused a huge furore in the 1990's by declaring the VW Golf VR6, which everyone else was Raving about, a "Lemon" because of It's Dodgy build quality and poor high speed handling....... and in the 70's they annoyed Volvo so much that Volvo didn't advertise with them for a decade...... because they called volvos Boring!!!!! But Advertising I think is the other major issue....... the mags get the majority of the revenue from ad budgets of manufacturers, so even CAR has toned it down..... As for SL Mags..... Well Let's not even go there.......

Right on GTAm!! I've Always loved Fiat group cars..... My grandpa had a Toppolino 500 (or Bug Fiat) and It was a great little ride...... you guys are right, Fiat is pretty well misunderstood in SL.... fault of the agents possibly..... and most ppl just use hearsay whenever it comes up..... still with the new showroom and all, It might be time for perspectives to change and I guess the Critics aren't aware that the Fiat group Owns the most Evocative car brand of them all.............. FERRARI
