Agree with Ripper, once you Mac you can't go Back. But don't buy a Mac from SL, the premium is just criminal. It would be cheaper for you to get an Air Asia ticket to Singapore or wherever in the region it is cheapest. Got mine through a friend in the US, who got it from an Apple Store during a sale, so got a hefty discount and payed less than a similar spec Dell/HP/Whatever. Totally satisfied. There are also the factory refurbished ones that are available through Apple online or authorised dealers in the states. Not sure how the warranty works, but there is a huge cost saving there for what is essentially a brand new machine twice over. And I do recommend the 3 year apple care.

To give my own input on the checklist above: Kia Sorento (Diesel) - as a user Kia Sorento(Diesel) 2.2 Auto - Very good driving pleasure - fully loaded options - Very good pickup for a vehicle its size - compact jeep - fuel efficiency 9-10 km/l (Colombo) (10 - 14kmpl Outstation) - Holds up on bad roads, suspension is bit stiff, hill climbs are effortless, but not built for the purpose of offroading. Can't comment on the Montero as I have only been a passenger (was fairly comfortable), but it looks better to me than any Prado

I've seen em get 3-4 kmpl. This is the new 4 litre ones. Not bumper to bumper, normal city driving. Outstation journeys I've seen em get 5 - 6

You can get DishTV, which is just some dude whose guys come by and sets the same up for you at your house. Two dishes, loads of channels (mostly Indian, but the usual suspects are all there) and plenty of HD channels as well, if that's your thing. It costs slightly less than DTV per month (you pay in 6 month installments) and about 12k to set up.
