  1. The defender is an 85' , it's a LR 90.. The earliest ones... The engine needs work besides there's Always something up to fix Besides aircon, electricals etc, the interior also is not the best, with horrid brakes, but i've been through a lot with it.. But she's got 33" tyres , warn winch, snorkel and the bits... Geez I gotta make a decision today....
  2. Thanks for your advice cyrax, well yeah the defender is unique, a headturner.. In its own league,
  3. Thanks for the reply mate, well my most important issue is reliability, well the hilux has heaps..
  4. Hi there friends, Well recently I have a very appealing offer for my 2.5 N/A 90 (defender) in exchange for a Toyota Hilux (2007 yr) of course there is a balance to be paid... Well in terms of reliability and comfort my Landy is not the best but however she is of great sentimental value to me, but according to my upcoming needs the hilux seems to be a sweet bargain too though i'm feeling really bad on letting the landy go.. Please help on this, whats the best choice? Thanks
  5. Thats a sweet ride mate.. congrats!

  9. The 3C-T is quite gutsy, and theres a 3C-TE variant as well.. Heard that this packs quite a punch better if you can get it all into a manual stick shift though, but manual Noahs are pretty rare.. economy-wise it will be definitely better that the petrol.
  10. GL or DX anything can be converted, starting from the cosmetic mods to the engine, aircon etc but as for the prices and costs involved i'm not sure.
  11. DX - manual windows, rear glass heater, no central locks etc GL - Power windows, fog lights (in some), rear wiper & heater, central locking (in some)

  18. It can be seen on a tag attached to the drivers side seat belt, situated at the lower end near the floor, You'll have to move your seats to access this. as for the year, you must add 1 year to the value on the tag,
  19. Ofcourse for the Land Rovers there's "Dippender dunu modal (for Series models) and "Dippender suspenserr modal" (for Defender 90/110 models) or "Army Jip" And the newer troopers after 2000 models, are called "Boola Troopers" (Ball-like)
  20. Geez how hard can this be???? he must've been confused with a manual stick shift.. as the locations are different.. Poor kid.. Get well soon

  25. Well i think your defender plan would be a better option.. I suggest going for an LT77 gearbox.. off an early 110/ 90 with matching axles.. But dunno how it'll suit your modded coil spring system though.. And it will also introduce all wheel drive (full time 4wd).. Try to find axles with disc brakes on the rear..
