  1. M30 is running good with traction with the use of semi-slicks(full race slicks are not allowed as its a true street category) and running full standalone, there's a few interesting in the line up 2 e36 328i's and an e36 m50 3.0l stroker, in here everything is expensive
  2. there were two e30's in the races, black one has an m30 swapped, the white one has a standard m40, there are two more e30's one with an m42(e36 motor with disa) and a another with an m44 swapped, and there's one coupe and one vert(pre-facelift) in SL, BMW scene is really at the early stages because of support, we'll if anyone one like could join the small race community, we just race for fun, thats why its still in the true street category
  3. Maintaining an e30 is not much of a hassle, when getting an e30 most important thing check for rust, if its a 316i/318i improper maintenance usually leads to camshaft wear in m40's, parts arent that too expensive, unless your going to add premium options, e30 is good for a daily driver really good on fuel plus you dont have to do oil service as frequent as in a jap car
  4. If its M40 and the current owner is a fan of changing parts, check for ticking sounds of camshaft, m40 has an issue where the camshafts and rockers wear out quickly because of poor maintenance and stucked valve adjusters
  5. yea, spot on Don, cant rush, have to give time, i know atleast this will take atleast a another month or so
  6. i didnt get that either, but he wanted to what happened to the missing evidence of a first party involved in the accident, its not that easy to argue with the ombudsman, he's more like an arrogant old guy who wants to have the total control, its better to let him do his thing the way he want
  7. Yes @Crosswind, that eye witness claim is already proven not reliable by the ombudsman
  8. yea, i do understand what you mean Don, im not giving up, i have the cards, i use a lawyer for the letters cz there's a gravity those letters than the way we write, they have started dragging things again saying private investigation officer not available, i cant intervene on that, gonna wait a another week or so and ask ombudsman what we suppose to do
  9. This inquiry is conducted by the ombudsman, not the insurance company, insurer is SLIC, i contacted the ombudsman's office they said inquiry is at end of the month, ombudsman is waiting to give things officially till he wants to know what the So called Private investigator and the technical officer has to say regarding there reports, btw i talked to an guy the SLIC, he said even-though the ombudsman give a letter saying to accept the claim, it still has to be approved by the SLIC board of engineer, its a good lesson for my for trusting a government institution for the first time, should have gone with V*P or something, to date its been 7 months, and Got to know SLIC even dont entertain appeals
  10. waiting for the letters, as there is a another inquiry for the investigation officer involved and the technical officer, after that i'll get the letters, they say even after that its a board decision to accept the claim
  11. We'll Finally After Months, Ombudsman stepped in, found out they were just bluffing without any provable evidence, and they have broke ut most good faith by hiding evidence in favor of my, so now time to hit hard on them
  12. i dont think there is such thing for a 4DR5 engine, and the fuel filter housing is designed in such a manner that, water and containment can be drained off from the nut located below the fuel filter housing
  13. Hi Don, i know about the adaptive servicing, that's why i mentioned as threshold, i know it consider a lot, range, temp, time(e46 has a max duration of 714 days) and some, brake pad's i cant comment on an Auto as i have never owned an Auto vehicle , will look into more on this , Thanks Don
  14. We'll the Castrol Recommended in Manual is not the one they use, cz the Euro Spec Oil/ Middle Eastern Spec Oil they are different even though the Viscosity said to be same(it's the Quality), its like a tire you get same brand and type tires made in US and Made in Taiwan, looks the same but different in quality, wear sensor's purpose is to break when the pad's are worn, that's why a set of them is supplied with new brake pads
  15. Sasika, SL's Dealership's Workmanship is something im not happy about, they dont know a crap on many thing's in Diesels you dont have to Change the DPF, there's a process called DPF Regeneration , so you don't have to change it, And as don Mentioned Brake Pad wear Sensor it's not a Programmable thingy, its just a kind of a switch which is really simple in design, for BMW diesel's SL Dealership uses the wrong oil, for new diesel's you have to use BMW LL Oil, i know couple of people who are having way shorter service interval's(try 5000km vs the 12000 miles) because of wrong oil used by the Dealership, main reason these engines have a way to know if the oil viscosity has deteriorated or contaminated when using then tell you service interval is up.(if you see the Service interval threshold's set in a cluster of an e46 you will be pretty bummed) and for the Brake Pad's Doesn't Any car would wear out brake pad in every 40-50k KM's? Btw Sasika, dont think im keep on coming at you, just do your research(im telling these from my experience), don't believe everything the dealer say these new engine
  16. Hope they were not thinking about the in there Type R, LOL
  17. you Doubt Hmmm......., LOL, i dont speed as a habit either, i dont drag either it is the difference felt between driving my car and the vezel, did i mention i was over taking someone i know i cant compare mine with this totally two different things so if you feel its that fast, i'd say Happy driving, Enjoy the ride, its all about each of our personal pleasure in driving if you are an petrolhead Cheer!
  18. its all about the past maintenance, especially in a diesel Beemer, most of them out there have a pretty bad maintenance record's, as with any euro you have to use the proper oil, proper diesel, and suspension overhaul every couple of years, preventive maintenance is a must, always take a proper Beemer Specialist(No Maka Bass) when you go look the car. if those things check's out it will be more reliable, and for option's wise Beemers are always ahead of time compared to a Jap of the same era, in a facelift E46 320d as its a common rail engine using something other than Super Diesel would make things worse watch out for that, in my personal opinion i would always go for a Gasoline, they are much more reliable and pretty much bulletproof engines, economical too, Hope that help's
  19. E36 323i
  20. i Highly Doubt that 0-60 Figures of the vezel mentioned here, even if the brochure say 8 sec in 0-60 it does feel 10+, i know can my car's brochure say's its 7.9 but i could leave a vezel to be like a tiny dot in my rear view from a standing Start, from personal experience it even struggles a lot just to get past 100 in normal road, anyhow i couldn't compare it with a similar(may be the new outlander would be a worthy contender), my Personal view - i hate damn tree hugger's(because they drive worse and boast on there fuel figures) mostly because today people seriously needs to know how drive on the damn road and the why there's lines and all the markings
  21. Even there So called Experts Dont know shit, wheel Steering,Lol.. all are lying like damn competition, i hope a show like this would get chopped of for giving out miss information
  22. they say they have one
  23. i wasnt drunk, it was my Grandmother funeral for crying out loud, just as the body was brought to my place
  24. i am the driver, and they say they have a third part which saying im not the driver and cant even give a description of the driver, the thing they believe that over police is they say this particular person has testified twice the exact thing and even though i challenged insurance company if ur that sure im not the driver just check the finger prints, they say it can be manipulated, ROTFLMAO, all this is coz its a bit of a claim, and my insurance with this particular company is new i think they are calculation return on investment, they are believing a single persons testimony over many cz most of the others are relatives of mine and this all happened really late night
