  1. funny ek coupes never made it here. got a whole heap of ek9's. 4's and even the odd RTi. but no coupes. nice car mate, and yes, in a local sense, if those mods were done here, your car would easily retail for around 21-22k. most honda boys are only interested in the body kit and the loud muffler. i discussed what this does to BHP (blood horsepower levels) in an earlier thread...
  2. uni*ed really needs to clean their act up. my bro was there to pick up his vehicle when the guy in front of him was told that servicing for their perodua and other small cars were being moved elsewhere because "they service big vehicles like pajeros here, which are worth 140-150 lakhs, and that those owners also don't like to come here and mix with people who own small cars" this from a guy who probably rides the bus to work. wow.
  3. thanks supra, i've always always dreamed of owning an SiR. found one in much better nick. dark blue, also 300-. owner has licked it clean and stuck to stafford. think i'll go ahead with that. the car is a peach.
  4. guys i too am on the hunt for a 98 integra. the one on the AL classifieds for 1.475 is an interesting option since it looks like a factory spec SiR. the engine numbers check out and its a DOHC VTEC 1.8l. but it looks to me like this beauty has been neglected badly. clearly in desperate need of a good fixer-upper. auto box, allegedly recently replaced. any thoughts on this? 300-xxxx, black.
  5. the stereo joint on galle road near hill street has the projector unit which fits the ek. but they want 30k for it. it comes with a set of HID's. i've seem them fitted on an orange color car. but i haven't had any experience with how good/bad they are you're right about the lights tho. even i swapped to HID's 2 years ago. light scatter is ridiculous. the same guys above focused mine pretty well, but still visibility is pretty poor. i just keep them for the "boru-pade" lol... they do look nice on a dark blue ek...
  6. tweety's got one hell of a boner... he taw he taw! he taw a puddy-tat!!
  7. wow... and here i was, reading some old threads to dig some info on a B4, since i'm interested in one. and i unearth the wrath of amun-ra himself... yikes! but seriously, cutting throats apart, i'd like the first few questions posted by the creator answered again, to get a 2011 outlook on it. hope i'm not asking for too much
  8. a porsche 911 carrera RS 1973 pimped by singer. now that is an a$$ i would kiss, wax and worship all day
  9. @carbonb4: make sure its got 600+ horses and a midmounted engine and a huge GT spoiler. never mind the frills and flowers... will be the best going-away ever!!
  10. @zerocool: lime green! aniwa defa!! and then you can do all of the above to it! hooray!!
  11. my humble two cents: frankly, we should be immensely proud that there is a sri lankan who can tune a 300- 94 mint (i may be wrong) EVO to trounce a top secret tuned nissan GTR on a quarter mile. that isn't talent, its genius. stuff of legend. to stand there and watch that happen was beyond words. we can argue ad nauseum about launch control and perfect launches and handling and weight reduction and it not being a proper quarter mile etc etc. but at the end of the day, what happened, happened. so please, autolankans, let's not bicker over this. be proud that we have people with the passion to import proper vehicles and drive them the way they were meant to be driven, and be even more proud that we have the talent to give cars that were "put together in a hermetically sealed factory with constant ambient temperature" a run for their money!
  12. its pretty high. costs your dignity and they permanently impound your man card at purchase. yikes!! i saw it in the small print
  13. long story short: you can't live the ricer dream in sri lanka by starting with a car that isn't the worth as much as the dust that's on it and then pimping it to all glory. you're much better off investing that cash you intend to pump into those mega bass speakers and upside down spoilers and ground works into a proper automobile, which will give you decent grunt and some street cred. sri lanka is a different ball game altogether, my friend. neons and beats and bodykits may be the in thing in whichever part of the world you are in now, but a well maintained and driven legacy B4 will bring you loads more respect on our roads. and speak volumes about your character as well... but i see you already making that face while reading this. at least i said it as it is.
  14. what can i say, macroxx, how else would have all those rice rockets cranking out all that power? i mean OMG... everytime a EK3 with a braang-braang beat barrel rolls by, my own civic weeps just a little. yeah i'm big on onomatopoeia! in the meantime you should get a load of the guy who posted "sports cars". this country has such a bright, sunny future with such wonderful expats returning to grace our soil with their "ground works", "upside-down spoilers" and "mega bass speakers" i guess petrolheads are an endangered species!
  15. either a troll or an epic opportunity for the more colorful autolankans to have a field day. i have some questions i'd like to add: 1. aren't 3, 8 and 9 the same thing? 2. aren't 2 and 7 the same thing?? 3. WTH are ground effects? 4. wouldn't an upside down racing wing create "up-force"? and lift your hindquarters off the tarmac? 5. are you old enough to drive? just curious, not meant to insult. 5. where's watchman when you need him?
  16. i've seen a bolt on projector kit which fits EK3's at the car audio store near hill street. that with a set of HID's might solve your problem. i'm not an expert in lighting, tho, but the projector lens will help focus light better... the kit is 30k with HID's. a bit of a steep solution...
  17. well you learn something new every day! i did not know that. but you're right, no amount of brake force or ABS stops idiocy in time.
  18. A18 allion... curious... does that come with rear drums? probably explains why Mr. No Lishun couldn't stop his hiney in time...
  19. might i add: riders of the storm - snoop dogg featuring the doors. wonderful chillout cruise music!
  20. point duly noted. you're right. but i do prefer the box. been looking for quite some time now with no luck
  21. dude, on a related note, do you know any place i can find the 1996-97 air intake box for the ek? the one that sits near the driver's side headlight. i'm getting a suspension kit including a strut tower bar, and the current intake box has to be moved to accomodate it. i've looked in a few parts places but no luck. any ideas where i can look?
  22. geethsam, i bought my ek in 2009 for 1.625 million. was offered 1.95 for it two weeks ago. no brand new car in your spectrum can pull that stunt. sri lankan car market is enigmatic, to say the least. study it a bit more before you commit. granted, troubles are less with a brand new car, but that adage applies more to japanese motors. not the korean or the indian ones. i know an alto that went back to the agents 3 months after it was purchased with engine issues. read up on these cars on the AL forums. a little searching will yield lots of info. include older cars in your research, not because you want them, but because you'll be in a better position to compare and contrast.
  23. got the same car. don't think they have one. that little red line on the fuel gauge IS your low fuel indicator! when the katta gets there, time to go see the gas man! but it does have a decent reserve, tho. one of my mechanics took it well past that mark and the car still had enough juice to get to a pump...
  24. dare i say civic EK3? you'll get a lot more than a "sporty look"
