A very informative read. But I'm confused... Mirage/VVTi et al: Should not the bike rider also be taken to court for reckless driving(riding) and failure to prevent an accident. Why is VVTi the sole respondent to the accident. I know that in general mindset the sympathy is with the injured/less affluent/smaller vehicle party - but is it the same with the law or was there comprehensive understanding that VVTi was responsible for the incident? Axela (according to Mazda Japan: Acceleration + Excellence) was a car ahead of its time. The (trim) spec of a 2004-2007 model is probably equivalent to 2010/11 Corollas and Allions. And it's a pleasure to own and drive EXCEPT when it comes to replacing parts (you know what I mean) ....

Yep - you can't grudge the doctors their fees, they hv earned it. But you can certainly expect professionalism from them for the money you pay. Courtesies like being on time (managing his/her time rather) and willing to explore the ailment rather that processing patients on a 2-min assembly line ... Yeah, there are a hell of a lot that certain doctors can improve on. It's not like that some of them are gods and life savers all the time - some of them just hv a bachelors degree like many common men these days and we hv every right to expect the same service we give to our customers from docs to us.

Ferrari definitely hv upped the game but with 6 gone and Vettle having that amazing run - can't help but feel it's too late. But I'm hoping Fernando will keep at it, 'cos it will make Vettle a lot more jittery at top and create possibilities. Good news for me is that Bahrain is off and New Delhi is likely to take place on 10/30. Thanks for the replies. As per Wikipedia, the clear tail lights were introduced to 'all' models in the 2007 facelift/upgrade. Previously they allegedly existed on the SP23 model - top of class 2.3L engine.

Hi guys - I've read most if not all topics relevant to Mazda 3 and Axela but genuinely wanted some advise from the forum members who drives/hv driven a Mazda on what specifically should I look for in buying one of these cars? I've learnt that brake liners cost 13k up and even the smallest, insequential sensor (if there is such )costs 30k up - so I want to know if there are any specific pitfalls in this model (2004-2006), anything that I should specifically look for such as bush/mounts replaced after this amount, type of ATF used etc ... Also, in wiki I saw that clear rear lights came to being after the 2007 upgrade but I've found several 2004 cars carrying clear i/o red rear lights - is this normal or hv they been replaced for cosmetic reasons? I've heard about 3 places recommended in servicing/maintaining newer Mazda's including agents - any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I'm 5' 8" and I hv to move the seat fully back to drive a K11 but I wouldn't call that position 'uncomfy'. What I frankly hate about a (1000 cc / auto) k11 is the pick-up or the acceleration which is disgusting. But driving in Colombo, that is hardly a problem and you can be pretty nippy in traffic (if you're that sort of driver). Once it's on the 3rd or 4th it's driving as normal and will pretty much keep up with all but most enthusiastic drivers with more horses under them! Everything else is good (but not great) about this car and as toyota sucks aptly said - it's a car that cannot be killed!

Looks-wise Fit Aria doesn't compare to others. Some wont agree with me but I really can't stand the looks of that car. Anyways, as I hear the performance is not too hot as well, although the car has more options/gadgets as standard compared to some others in your list. Personally, I will go for a Sylphy on your list for comfort and relatively low price or a Honda Civic, as some others included, for the responsiveness and ride. Swift is a solid choice, if you want a newer car and ok with a hatch.
