What about Peugeot 407? I think you can get a decent one around that price. May be little more.....But comfort you can't match with any of the above cars mentioned... (May be in my opinion)

Dear Friends, Actually I am planning to buy a Wingroad Y10. But I have the following doubts. Pls assist me. We do almost every day travelling during heavy traffic in Colombo city. I am having a doubt that will it be airtight to stop the diesel / petrol exhausts of other vehicles enter into cabin?. Because car seems 16 years old. If the shutter window beadings and door beadings worn out, is there are any good place, they change new beadings and make the car air tight. Your suggestions appreciated. Thanks, Tilvin

I remember in wiki I read a portion that these JDM cars have been built with intention of short period use and NOT intended to use for years(long term)? Is that true?

Dear Guys, One of my relative is planning to buy a Toyota Caldina(2001 manufactured) - petrol version. His mechanic guy advises not to go for it since it is a JDM car and it will not be upto the standard. As per the machanic, he tells that the car would not sealed properly and the under carpets will not be correctly put and when running with AC in traffic there are chances the outside smoke could enter. And also as per his opinion, he tells that the recirculation unit also will not be upto the standard and it might allow out side smokes to enter through that..... . Since my relative runs mostly in the Colombo city traffic he is highly worried about his comments and now have decided to drop the idea of buying the Caldina... . Can this be true? Thanks, Tilvin

Hi Friends, Thanks all for your assistance. I am amazed at your quick replies..... Actually I am using Octane 95 for this from the purchase. Actually one month back there came a spark plug misfire and we replaced all 4 spark plugs(original french one), airfilter and fuel filter. At that time my mechanic removed the throttle body and cleaned using carburettor spray (As I remember he did not remove injectors). But as I remember I have run the car with that small misfire around 3 days hoping it might be automatically get corrected. During that only this ping / knock developed. I suspect now, there can be carbon deposits as you suggested. How we can remove carbon deposits? Since this Peugeout, will automirage can assist? Thanks, Tilvin

Dear Friends, My car is 2002 Peugeot 307 - 1587cc hatchback - triptronic. It runs perfectly OK with AC on in the mornings until it reaches operating temperature. But when it reaches 90 - 95, engine knocks / ping(or rattle) when accelerate at low speeds - Eg. When taking the car from stop. I am suspecting the distributer is advanced too much? Dear Friends, It has been past around 5 months I have bought my Peugeot 307 - YOM 2002 car. I have done most of the services other than A/C. From the previous owners service schedule also, he had not done any AC related recent service. Anyway the car cools is good. I set the temperature as 22.5 and use in "auto" mode always. But now I feel that in noon time(very hot out side), it takes some time to cool. Do I need to do any service? Where I can do? Peugeot experts pls comments. Because I do not want to mess up the car with A/C technicians who do not know how to do things with Peugeot. Thanks, Tilvin
