Hi Friends, I got a photocopy of the book from the owner. In the book the chassis number is written as AE100-#######. There is no "G" mentioned in the chassis number. And the car is mentioned as "recondition". But the owner tells it is original G touring. Engine number mentioned as 5A-########. Is this original G touring? Pls assist. Tks, Tilvin.

Odo Meter - 256000 km Owner does not be sure when changed the timing belt and other spares - NO service history Car's outer condition - Good Interior - Average He has advertised as G touring, but I did not check from the registration book as u mentioned. Hi Friends, This information needed for me as I am planning to buy a Corolla G touring as my second vehicle, when my Peugeot goes for long vacation(To garage - until gets the spares and make ready him sometimes... .) During his vacation, I feel very difficult to move around.... . Anyway I do not have much idea about Toyotas. I searched for some vehicles and found one interesting. Toyota Corolla G touring Manufacture year - 1996 Number - 301-#### Car have NO airbags and the owner says 13 lakhs and says no negotiation. The mileage may be more than 200000 kms. I think EFI versions would do around 9-10 kmpl in city for the engine size 1360 cc. I have used these models but I did not calculate the consumption correctly... Anyway you can check other Pug fans in the forum.

I do not know whether you are interested in Peugeots.... Peugeot 206 Peugeot 306 also come under your budget.....

Hi Friend, Better you check with another good A/C repairing centre. Because some repairing technicians do not know what they are doing and messing up everything. I had several experiences with bad technicians. Better check with someone who knows the thing, not by mere reputation or name.

Machan, she was going by the middle of the road around 10 kmph, actually when there were few vehicles around. Did not give us path to overtake also. When we horned, did not bother as well.... . This continued atleast around 2 kilometers. Then somehow I managed to overtake in a wider road....

We also experienced a lady monkey in a Porche Cayenne Jeep couple of weeks back....

Hi Friends, I recently bought a Peugeott 306 car - wagon type. And did a full service in a service service centre. And the guys there checked for grease points and said there are no grease points in the vehicle. And when I asked them to check the gearbbox oil, they told that they can't do that and it needs to be done by mechanics. Is there any good service centre which does peugeot services well? Pls assist. Hi Friends, I am having a Peugeot 306 carb 1360cc model car. When I did eco green test last month it failed. In the summary report they have asked me to perform a carb tuning and come back. So I heard of a person called faizal@Maligawatte doing some carb tuning through a friend and brought the car to him. He looked at the emission report and did the tuning. For parts I bought 4 new spark plugs and a new air filter. He removed the carb and cleaned and did something with the distributer and finished the work around an hour and charged me 4000 rupees. Then asked me to take the emission tests back. It became failed again badly and CO levels increased significantly than the previous one. Almost the CO levels doubled than the previous report. Previously the car runs smoothly but now the engine shutting off when shifting gears. I again went to him. He did some tuning for another 10 minutes(I think he increased RPM bit some how and retarded the distributer) and asked to get the report again. It again failed and the engine shutting off problem still persists when shifting gears. And the idle stays in 500RPM. And the fuel economy is 5kmpl with A/C. What shall I do now? Is there any good carb mechanic out there for Peugeot cars? If so pls let me know his contact numbers. Tks, Tilvin

Thanks for the reply. I checked one and the owner says 7.5 lakhs. It is 17- one, without powershutters, power mirrors and alloys. But the car seems in original condition. Paint and Interior is also fine. A/C needs some repair to be done. Is the price is high?
