That my friend is a good looking car. Forget what the occasional cousin, the Perera down the lane and the office bully say. Just stick with your ride. I hope you'd have some memories together with the Mondeo that you'd cherish one day.

I did today. Guy is well and alive but busy. Just wanted to check things at the business end since I have to renew my revenue licence next month.

Flexible Radiator Hose Or Molded Hose For Mitsubishi 4G12 Engine
Sierra Charlie replied to GAPAUTO's question in General
I had a similar issue with the lower radiator hose. Couldn't find one locally since even Unimo didn't have it. So out of desperation, got one moulded. Unusable, that one. So went on partsouq.com and bought an original hose. Shipping took only 24 hours. I kid you not. A bit pricier, obviuosly. But it works and works well. -
Think you beat me to it.

Did I, or do I, that is the question.

I believe I can use the shocks few more months as I don't feel much difference as there are no rattling noises when driven on bad roads. And the comfort level is not bad either. I need big buck before I set my hand on this. About the wheels, yes I'm set on going for 15 OZs as we talked. Hoping to get ones similar to what was in the photo that I sent you. Same design and color. Will let you know he progress.

Dude lemme know. Might be able to hook you up. You know the story with the coilovers right? Wink, wink.

Thanks for the clarification iRage. That was the first time I saw a Soarer. But took the 'only car in SL' bit with a pinch of salt. This is an off white one bearing a 300- number.
-
I thought it was hard. Indeed, it is a Toyota Soarer. Not the twin-turbo as in this picture. But nonetheless, it's a 3.0 liter, rear wheel drive, barge of a luxury coupe. Currently it's in a sorry state. The guy who has it now plans to bring the car back to its former glory. Wish him good luck. Floor's yours Schiffer.

Right. Hope this would be at least a little tough. According to the owner, this is the only such car in SL. No idea how true that is though. Here you go folks.

There's a prancing horse in the center nut of the wheel.

I'd be mighty surprised if we do. But you never know.

Ferrari P4/5? (Or whatever the hell the crazy Italians call these?)

Oh well, the panda FB page provides some good entertainment. Whatever it is, seems they have a good presence and connections in the Tanamalwila area. The shizz they're smoking is next level.

I don't have the owner's handbook. So no idea whether the cap is the correct rating or not. Radiator caps on 4G63 SOHC versions found in the US are rated for 90kPa or 0.9bar. So I'm thinking it's the same case with my engine as well. I'll be replacing the radiator cap and the hose probably tomorrow and will update the thread.
-
Thanks Rumesh. I also noticed that my radiator cap is rated for 108kPa. Looks wrong. What do you reckon?

Ok gents and the occasional lady, I have an issue with the G that I need sorted and seek your advice. My cooling system has a problem. A hose developed a tear and the radiator tank developed a hairline crack on two different occasions. Hose was a simple. Just cut 2cm off the hose and stick it back again. Done. Radiator tank was a different issue. Had to spend about 8k on the replacement. Anyhow, the hose has developed a tear again. Both times at the same location, on the lower hose at the engine side. Please see red square on the picture . I'm thinking whether the three incidents are related. Like, whether the cooling system is creating more pressure than the components can handle so the pressure is released from the most vulnerable place? Fixing the hose is again, quite simple. But I would like to see whether I'm looking at something a bit more serious that need addressing.

What you gain in tyre height depends on a lot of things. For example, I'm on 195/65/14 now. The rim is 356mm and tyre Sidewall is 127mm. So the unsprung height of my tyres should be 610mm. However, the actual height of my front tyres as on the car is around 580mm. That's after accounting for the weight of the car, wear of the tyres, etc. (My car is a Mitsubishi Galant) I'm planning to go for 205/65/15. That's 381mm for the rims, 133mm for sidewall. The total height in this setup is 647mm. I have a friend with the same setup of rims and tyres as this and the actual tyre height of his car is 610mm after accounting for weight of the car and tyre wear. (His car is a Chrysler PT Cruiser) You would gain some tyre height, but at best marginal. Don't expect the gains to be spectacular. I'm planning to upsize as well, hence the detailed reply.

I thought Leaf was larger than it appears? Certainly looked that way when I was looking at the car closely. Didn't sit in it. So no idea about interior space. Tiv, please do clarify.

Wonder whether the designers were having some Psychedelic when they designed the last one of these. The front and back of the new model looks straight outta some hallucination.
-
Indeed it is. Called a VR4. There are both Legnum and Galant variants of the VR4 running the 6A13TT engine. Displacement of 2498CC. I tried to find a picture of one of the Legnums in Sri Lanka. But the guy who owns it seem to have taken down the picture he put on FB.

Indeed it is. I've seen at least two of these here in SL. One has the 1.8 L 4G93 GDI engine in it. Tad underpowered in this application I reckon.
