4WD vehicles have a rear differential. That's the simplest way of identifying a 4WD vehicle.

1. Most reliable one is AE110, which will give you less troubles. But it is a very compact car having less interior space. And FB15 is more comfort than AE110. 3. Rear head rests will be useful. AE110 - SE Saloon, XE Saloon, Rivera FB15 - Super Saloon

We can ignore the Multi-Remote Control Relay for now, as it is not present in some models. In one model, Smart Entrance Control Unit is placed behind the meter panel(hooked to the meter cluster). And in the other model unit is placed somewhere near to the AC Filter in the passenger side. But I think you don't have to locate the unit to check whether it is functioning. Go inside the car, lock all doors (using the driver side lock). Insert the key into the key cylinder and remove it from the cylinder six times or more within 10 seconds. Then door locks should unlock. If so, we can say that your Receiver is functioning. You may have to try several times as this has to be done in the correct speed.

Fault can be on the following items Key (Transmitter) Smart Entrance Control Unit (Receiver) Multi-Remote Control Relay Fuses First check fuses, then Relay. Then check Smart Entrance Control Unit - This can be done using the method which is used to program the key.

These remotes are not using IR, so this method wont work.

I saw few advertisements of 99 Ex-Saloons quoting price around 1.85M . I am not sure about the condition of those cars. You might able to find 99 one for your budget.

FB15 V*P cars are Imported to SL from Singapore. Made in Japan. Has crappy leather seats. Interior is not that good as JDM ones. Price is lower than JDM ones in SL market.

Is it a super saloon or an ex-saloon ? I think 155000 is a reasonable number for a 98 one.

Luxel is the highest grade. But the price is low compared to G grade in Sri Lanka. What I have heard is Luxel (has a 1.8 engine) is less efficient on fuel compared to others having a 1.5 engine.

Power antenna is not available in FB15. Your friend might have fixed a one.

Not match for Sri Lanka ??? Nissan pulsar FN-15 has the same Engine which FB14 got.

You seems to be haven't seen this Engine without the cover. Cover gives some extra protection. But water cannot go easily into to plugs even you don't have this cover. So for this question, do you think you can decide whether it is normal that FB15 doesn't have this cover by looking at number of votes. What I see it you can't. We need some explanation rather than a vote.

For this purpose I rather post a question without starting a poll. No point of starting a poll for these kind of questions which only few people can answer.

With or without that cover, i don't think washing the engine room in a FB15 is a good idea.

If it is a new shell one, then it is normal. I have seen some old shell 2002 cars doesn't have that cover. See whether there are mounts to fix the cover.

Thanks for the snap. As far as I found, This option is not a common feature of 2004 Super Saloon. A cool option to have in a car.
