  1. Hey Remember when JC went in to an endurance race with a turbo charged Mitsubishi Starion with the stock cooling? Mate, You will have to take a cooling break every 1 - 2 Kms you drive? Peddle bikes will be faster than you
  2. A well written post Mr. MiraOwner. A few Additions: 1. Another good way to judge a helpful cop is to keep a 500 rupee note in a sort of a visible area in the dash. In the center console right in front of the gear lever is a perfect spot. The key thing to notice is where the guy is looking, when the cop leans through the open shutter and talks to you on the offence. If he's talking to you with short glances at the note, you know you are on the right track. (One time I had pumped fuel and had the remaining money in the ctr console. Then got copped for talking on the mobile while driving. "Ralahami" simply couldnt take the eyes off the money while he was going on and on. It was as if he was talking to the money . Noticed the same reaction with many cops) 2. They like being addressed as "Ralahami". If you follow this they will also wholeheartedly call you "Mahaththaya". Then with the mutual respect the deal is easy. So dont try to be a wise ass, however educated you are or how ever much money you have, if you want the shortest way out of your fine. 3. If you ever get caught in for a DUI, dont try to negotiate the pay up. pay 2k, 3k or whatever the copa suggest and get out of there. In such an offence believe me its worth it to pay up and go. If you satisfy the bugger with a good amount believe me, he will go out of the way to help you. I once even got a police escort while I pass all the check points (Please note that I'm not encouraging drunk driving. Above is for those few unavoidable situations that you rarely face ) Happy Driving Guys...
  3. Guys Guys, just forget for a moment that this is a highway, forget about the 120km/h speed limit, just look at those photos. Even if its a B road, Imagine going around those corners in a well sorted car... It would be like driving heaven... Of course, the indian / chinise bikes, indian / chinese cars, three wheellers, buses, lorries, should stay away... Then again thats not gonna happen ryt? It will be the same nightmare we experience in any other roads here... Dreams shatter... Depression... suicide...
  4. Hi Uditha, Been following a few of your posts and I know that we have the same car which is NISSAN Presea R11 with GA-15DE Engine. After seeing your pic I popped the hood of mine and there it was, hiding in plain sight. Removed the air filter to check the other end and saw that its not directly openning in to the Air Filter Case but is covered with a mesh. I also think that its the Breather Hose as suggested by Kelum and Luckey. Here are some clearer Pics: The Hose: Hose End, Inside the Air Filter Case:
  5. Hey Riddle, Even if you have ABS in your car probably it will not be working now as you switched to the Non-ABS CV joint. ABS CV joint comes with a ring on the outer side which has squarelike carvings at regular intervals. This allows the ABS sensor to get an idea whether the wheel is moving or locked. Then decide whether to apply the brakes or release by determining whether the car is skidding on or moving in control. So you will have to refer to a detailed car spec (you can find it online) to check if you have ABS or not or go see an experienced mechanic who's thorough with the tech details. ABS is a big deal mate. Specially sice our already bad roads become worse in wet conditions. Not to mention our drivers who stop in the middle of the roads for no reason and wrecklessly put the nose in to the on going traffic. ABS has saved me from creashing more than one occasion in above conditions. So if you do have it, you'd better bring it online.
