Here are your options: 1. In your email application, block this email address permenently. The email will simply not appear in your inbox. 2. if the you start getting bembarded with similar emails, get a good spam guard for your email application or from the service provider. 5 Series (E39)

Well it used to be much harder... Let me rephrase Dons question: "VVTi, I have a question, few months back, when you walked out of the door everyday, you had a fabulous E39, an awesome E36 and an 164 smiling at you. How in the world did you decide which one to take out?"
  4. Watched S18E1 yesterday night... Aventador, MP4-12C & M600 in a Road Trip... Awesome... Great entertainment but still had "the same rhythm that goes on an on kind of a feeling" for the whole show. New M5 will be reviewed in the season. cant wait for that...
  5. Amen... I face the same experience in the same junctionbox on a daily basis. When I keep it clear and stop before the junctionbox, almost alway a moron thinks this as an opportunity to get ahead in the traffic light queue. From 3 wheellers to our "Prestigious" Prados just easily overtake or undertake and stop right in the middle of the JB. If we are more disciplined as a motoring nation definitely we can be allowed more head room in speed limits. I for one think that E01 can accomodate a 120 or 130kmh as a speed limit if this were true. Cheers, K9M
  6. Sorry I dont understand...
  7. Already feel stupid asking this but when the engine is heated up do you hear any steam leaking?
  8. Just what we need to make our roads more misarable.... http://profit.ndtv.c...ar-re-60-295239
  9. Refer to http://forum.autolanka.com/index.php?/topic/12793-white-smoke/page__hl__%2Bwhite+%2Bsmoke__fromsearch__1
  10. There you go, Wikipedia has spoken... No reason what so ever to worry
  11. He has not mentioned whether its an auto or manual. 8-10kml is pretty normal in colombo traffic, for a Vios with an Automatic Tranny, IMO Since the OP has been tolerating the knock for 1 1/2 years its safe to assume that this doesnt happen in low RPMs which will be a much severe case. It must be occuring at above 2.5k or so when the engine is trying to rev up and deliver the power to cope up with the load of accelerating. AFAIK this will not affect fuel consumption much in city driving but you'll definitely see an impact in power.
  12. Hi Buddhika, Ignition knock is generally caused by bad ignition timing most commonly by a misaligned distributor. But in your case I think the Toyota NZ engine has direct ignition, where the ignition timing is controlled electronically by the ECU (the computer box) so its natural for anyone to assume its caused by same. But a knock can also be generated by carbon deposits in the combustion chamber, which tend to carry the heat from the previous ignition and then ignite the fuel air mixture before the plug creates the spark at the correct time. Why don't you go to a place which has the required tools to diagnose the ECU which will monitor and report on ignition timing as well. After this you can see if the problem is with the ECU or not? Over to the experts...
  13. Hi Guys, Anyone interested in having their top gear collection looking like this? Download and Install "My Movies" for Windows Media Center (If you are a Windows VISTA or Windows 7 - Ultimate or Home Premium User) and best of all the standard version is free. Been using this for ages and the features that come with the std version is quite enough. On a side note this allows you to have your movie collection looking like this as well... Mods, please remove if you think this is an advertisement. Thought of sharing since the product was free and been a user for a long time... Cheers, K9M
  14. Then the blue smoke may be masked by the steam and go unnoticed... Thanks Ripper.
  15. Hi VVTi, Thanks for clarifying this. Typically, Oil burn smoke it considered blue. Does any other factors contribute to make the smoke emmitted in the above scenario appear whitish?
  16. Apparently this situation can occur when the valve seats are bad... This will burn oil as well as will ommit a whitish smoke. Learnt this from The Don in another thread. Couldn't request him to explain this a bit more. Hopefully he may see this thread and enlighten us a bit more
  17. Agree with miniace. When you find a good mechanic to do this, ensure that its someone who treats your motor with respect. I have seen workshops where they have dismantled the engines under trees out in the open for hours while they do other jobs, have breaks etc etc. (Hard to believe that people keep on coming for these joints...) This needs to be done indoors in a relatively clean area without dust etc. As this job requires a fair amount of disassembly and fitting back together the guy should be fairly experienced and shouldn't be a person who deligates each and everything to his inexperienced "Golayas" and pay attention to other things. Particularly the rockers, camshafts etc. needs assembling again with the timing not being changed. Otherwise you'll need to open the engine up back again and to correct these errors...
  18. Ya, did see the donuts there... Darin was 3rd in the first few laps and then fell to 5th or 6th. But caught up again fast... Think he came on 3rd... but not sure...
  19. Good One... actually they were bringing from another place... VVIP Zone was almost like bring your chair from home though... Food was damn expensive, the one big screen they had didnt work and added to that was blocking the view, didnt server beer up till 9PM and even that wasn't chilled... By this logic the 250 stang shouldnt even have air to breathe...
  20. Can someone post the results of the SLGT event? Darin put in a very good show...
  21. True to that, We went there at 5.00PM to get seats at very front. Some guys who came past 7 tried to put a line of seats in front of us and we practically had to chase them off... They were not willing to admin that they were doing something wrong...
  22. Been terribly let down by poor organization on the spectators front but not complaining at all as the event was bloody awesome. Been moving freely around the track and enjoying rooftop views from Galadari, feeling the GT3 overruns as they downshift for the intercon corner in WTC stand, cheering for the SLGT cars at the finish line, did it all Got home at 8.30AM after dropping off the buddies and slept till 5.00PM An awesome weekend indeed…
  23. I Also didnt hear from those idiots. Just the mail saying that the tickets are reserved for me. Then i replied a number of times to that message asking where can i collect but no response for that. By yesterday i was desperate for them and was planning to go for 3 5k tickets in intercon. Luckily one of my friends got the tickets from the anything website. I thought you git the tickets mate...
  24. Hi Ripper, Not sure whether you already know this. The tickets sold by this website is supposed to be in BOC Mw. I called them and checked with them before placing the order. Cheers, K9M
  25. Wow Peri, must have been a hell of an experience. Yes, based on my simulation experience turn 2 is pretty tough. Coupled with turn 1 it gives a pretty hard set of corners to negotiate. If you run off even at 50-60 mph, wet ground takes you straight to the tirewall and you are done...
