  1. Thanx anyhow . ordered a full option 2.2CRDi diesel Sorento. Their warranty shows that they have confidence i their new range of cars. Now begins the hard part..the wait!..
  2. Well the horse is out of the stable now. Already ordered it today!
  3. True, some people make mistaken accusations. I wish they didn't disrespect the other party. There is a far more civilized way of settling it instead of with comments.People should be treated with respect & not be hit down immediately when they get an inkling.Would you put up with such people and not retaliate if someone disrespected you, especially when in comes to something that matters? Of course not.Buying a vehicle is a serious financial matter.I would just like people to put valid comments that is useful & not render it redundant like it has become now.
  4. I agree some people are cyber hill billies. The first discussion I ever started VVTi accused me of using Guerrilla Marketing tactics & then on turned my topic into a total waste of time.VVTi is a changeling. lol
  5. The diesel sonata has the same body parts as the gasoline. It comes with the R series Diesel engine, same one that comes with the new Tuscon(I checked in Wikipedia). Electronics are same as gasoline. The new Sonata has won World class awards.Every vehicle review site I've visited have made clear that this particular model has got the current Camry & Accord trumped. I luv the way it looks. Beautiful interior.Even ride quality is great. ( i had the privilege of riding in one). "Hyundai & Kia are trying to shake off their bad image". The picture they paint is a very enticing one for me.Sorry if I'm sounding like some fanatic but I would love to buy this particular version because I'm adamant that this model will soon catch on in SL. Besides I must hurry because the government may axe vehicle permits in June.
  6. You mean the all new one? 6th gen?
  7. I've been hearing there were major faults in the US sold Sorento. The transmission is a complete failure.Just making sure that the Korean manufactured sorento dosen't carry the same trait. Besides you are very rude and vain. Of course when one is interested in a particular vehicle one has every right to find out all pros and cons of a prospective vehicle.Of course I hope there would never be problems with this SUV.Because I'm considering buying it!!!!
  8. Thanx but they don't sadly. The Diesel version is only available in Korea
  9. I recently had a look at the new 2011 hyundai Sonata. I was blown away, I wanted to have it.But the problem is they don't bring them down with Diesel engine. I got to know that there are Diesel (R-series Diesel engine which comes in the new Tucson) 2011 Hyundai Sonatas(YF Sonata in Korea) in the Korean market but the agents at Hyundai (PVT)Ltd said they don't import them and that they are flooded with orders till 2012 Feb. Someone please recommend respectable agencies that will import the Diesel YF Sonata within 5 months or so.
  10. I wan't to know for how long you have owned the Sorento & what are your impressions about the SUV.I wish to know what problems you are facing with the vehicle.
  11. I too went to check out the offer.I'm a big fan of BMW. They offer the 320D for 5.7mill(318i is same price but I wouldn't buy it) The X1 is about 5.9mill.Both vehicles are the base vehicles with only a few options.Note that the 320D is considered by almost every car critic as a pioneering premium sedan. I admit I'm not pleased with the interior room.(I'm 6ft and back seat was very cramped for my taste, only children can ride comfy). But once you are near the sedan you know this car was built to last.Such great build quality!(same with X1 ) But when you're in the drivers seat intuition tells you car is great. The 320D does about 9-10 in the city I'm willing to bid that the X1 is far worse.I would go for the 320D but I just am not pleased with the lack of interior space or trunk space. The x1 is a great car but it's just a "Jacked up station wagon" (They give it a a fancy name called SPORT ACTIVITY VEHICLE) in my opinion.True there's more space but I don't think it's more appealing than the 320D.If you are considering to buy the X1 for roominess I say go for the X1.But 320D offers class leading Dynamics ( that Audi and Benz fail to beat) and better looks. I thought I'd share a post about the next gen 2012 BMW 3 series.Looks exactly like a mini 5 sereis. http://www.wheels24.co.za/News/General_News/Almost-naked-2012-BMW-3-Series-20110503 http://www.wheels24.co.za/Galleries/Image/BMW/2012%20BMW%203%20Series%20(Spy)
  12. I do like the outlander,Sportage (won't fit my dad's needs though). I thought Audi didn't offer choices for permit holders.Must have that checked.Thank you
  13. Well my father doesn't like the freelander. It's reliability has improved from the previous gen but it still isn't good enough. yeah korando is worth a look I suppose. Thanx
  14. I "think" it'll be around that price considering it's gasoline motor is a 2.5l engine. It gets 100% excise tax. I went 2 a car dealership yesterday & they said they can't quote a specific price yet
  15. I've already been to Hyundai.Great cars but those guys r over flooded with new orders. Our order won't be met till 2012 feb.BMWs are great but the 3 series is crammed. Can anyone recommend some good sedans or SUVs that are offered for this permit. Max retail price: US$25,000 Engine capacity : Petrol - < 2000cc Diesel - < 2400cc The Sedan would be a either a midsize sedan or a small premium luxury sedan (like the new 320D) SUV- Midsize segment ( Like the 2011 kia Sorent)
  16. Well the price of a GS450h has gone up from 9mil 15mil I think because of the recent tax hike. I really hope the new GS will come out soon.(lol it'll make the old one look bad though) Thanx BTW
  17. That's marvelous! I guess Hybrids are back on my wish list again.Too bad the government raised the taxes of hybrids up to 50%-100% depending on type 2day. I really had my eye on a GS450H
  18. I would definitely go for the 911 turbo. The 911 is more practical to drive in a daily basis as well. but on track days this car can be great fun 2 drive. By the looks of the Maserati GT you wish it would go fast, but it dosen't. BMW M3 are good but it just looks vulgar. Other than the 911 I'd go for the GT-R AKA Godzilla Other than those I would go for a M6.The car sounds good with it's V10 roar.Good performance. A cadillac CTS-V coupe wouldnt be bad either. the only Merc I would go for is the new CLS AMG (in your budget's case a used one)
  19. I guess u r 1 of those ppl who takes a look @ what others have 2 say & add more hay to the fire.BTW I'm not a sales representative. lol
  20. I'm not a sales representative I'm an enthusiast of the new Hyundai range .....I wish they would bring The Genesis coupe, the R-spec Sedan & the new 2012 Grandeur (hav u seen thm?) My dad we went 2 the dealership last Friday they say that they don't import those vehicles. Disappointing. & only the GLS Sonata is sold(petrol) My dad won't be buying that.Tuscons are nice but somhow I don't like them.
  21. Wonder whether the government would actually cancel the permits before their period ends

  22. Wonder how long it would take our country to rely on @ least 50% clean energy...

  23. So far being in Autolanka has been a hilarious experience. It's amazing how ppl trash each other without scoping out all possibilities
