thats all bull about average timing.. you only get a ticket if the cops gun you on the way... p.s. they usually stand under the bridges..

are you serious????? i never knew that there were any here.. do you happen to have pics and know the whereabouts of the car.. as long as the engine/gearbox and running bits could be saved i am interested.. i wonder if it could be fit in my car with a bit of work or would i need to find a w109 chassis... as long as there is enough space in the engine room in sure i could work around the other stuff..

thanx... w115's range from 250k all the way to 2mil.. it all depends on the condition.. in terms of maintainance its pretty much the same.. mechanical parts are not an issue at all as its shares 90% of the parts with w123/124/126 models.. even used parts are available... however its the cosmetic bits that are really hard to find.. unless you have very deep pockets and dont mind the price.. the most difficult would be the rubber beadings, a dash with no damage and interior bits... both my cars are driven on a daily basis and is extremely reliable.. drove down to una over the weekend.. loved it.. only issue my speedo cable was not functioning and i didnt know how fast i was going till i got to the exit in 40 mins flats.. averaging 147kph..wasnt my intention but you cant blame me as you really dont feel the speed.. i thought i was surely getting a ticket as the cop kept looking at the car at the exit and started walking up to me when i was paying.. i was ready for the ticket till he came and started talking about the car and how old it was.. on the way back i made sure to slow down and averaged 110kph.. only thing i was driving back in the night and came across two 4DR5 Jeeps on separate occasions.. both of then didnt have a single light functioning at the back,, it was really scary as they seemed to just pop up in front of you without any warning as you dont see then from a distance.. other than that is was simply amazing..

the only thing missing is the Basmati logo!!!

judging from the state of the railing the jag wasnt the only car to go off on that bend... and just a word of advice to anyone taking the E01 .... when your on your way back towards kottawa comming to the end of the highway there are boards lights speed breakers and what not asking you to slow down.. so pls SLOW THE F DOWN because your approaching a 90degree bend... its extremely dangerous and i saw two cars that ignored this and actually locked up before taking the bend ..

i actually have two w115's.. 1969 maroon 6sri 2755 (200)brand new import .. column shift.. approx 64,000miles genuine 1971 off-white car with a beige roof 7sri 4811 (220) was used in the UK and shipped here.. floor gear.. meter reads apx 80,000km but it has been tampered with so i have no idea what the actually mileage is.. probably more.. the maroon one was what i took on the highway.. will be going down to una over the weekend.. planning on taking the 220 what i really wish to drive on the highway is my 1990 bimmer e32 730i.. regret selling it thats a car that can call the E01 home!!!! pics of my twins..

the best ive got is 7kpl(long distance).. didnt calculate it on the highway run.
-
yeah 28th confirmed.. but no one seems to know if the the location has been changed or if they are sticking with GP

it is miles, it actually didnt feel that fast.. so i checked with my brothers car following me.. and his read 174kph... so im sure it was accurate.. im not some idiot trying to go as fast as i can.. i was very careful and loved it... i know about the seat belts.. im actually looking for an original set of front belts.. they are rare to find and hence extremely expensive,, my car is a 2000cc in line 4... its in perfect running condition with all maintained uptodate.. it had a genuine 48,000 miles on the clock till 2004( D*MO confirms it) so you can imagine.. now the clock reads 64000miles.. i doubt you would feel as safe in a Japanese compact class as those cars are light.. my w115 weights close to one and a half tons and was extremely stable at high speeds.. been on the highway a few times after this.... and i would still choose the old fuel gazzler over anything else.. purely for the driving pleasure..
-
i doubt they check for seat belts as i drove a 6 sri 1969 benz on the highway.. they never checked us.. entry to exist took us 40 mins.. hit 110MPH.. could have gone faster but didnt have the balls to...

the slgt was totally worth the wait.. one of the best races i have witnessed and i thing its a real shame how it ended.. everyone has a different side to the story however i thing pp could have avoided what happened.. if you look at the csn vid you ccan see a yellow line on the left corner, pp is not driving parallel to it which means he was not driving in a straight line as claimed by his brother.. this is what i see and talking about flags i heard darin saying that ashan overtook him on the yellow flag.. looking at the video it pretty much looks like that..

some one just told me that the gt3/4 cars are not running.. apparently only for display... is there any truth to this?? alot of people would be really pissed if they dont!!!
