Im using a CE#T for all 4 wheels for the Ford Laser (1992 model) they cost like around 6500 each and so far no issues but tyre noise is there at high speeds apart from that ok

I was thinking of buying a car and renting it out to earn some extra income and was thinking of an Alto or a Geely MX saloon as both cars are around the same price of 1.7 mil for a 2012/2013 model however i would like your opinion of on the expected monthly rental for an Alto and a Geely now and which is easier to give on rent as for spares the Alto comes on top for price thanks in advance

I would like to know the legal standing for offences eg: spot fine (dada kola) vs Courts (usawiya) I got copped in heavy traffic for taking a U turn where prohibited ,it was a raining slightly and dark and at the end of a tiring day hence i didnt see the board, and I accepted my mistake However the cop said this is a an offence where I'm going to send you to courts so I told him to give me a spot fine instead so with some reluctance he gave me a dada kola Do the traffic police have the right to send someone to courts or issue spot fines for such offences ? or was he just trying a fast one to get a bribe? can someone please elaborate I would have thought some offences are punishable by spot fines and some serious ones like drunk driving by Courts?

well i suggest a Lancer Box or a flat light /tubelight these in very good condition will cost much less than 5 laks and very solid cars and spares easy to buy too

well it took me 3.5 hrs o Sunday on the A1 and took the same route back on poya day and it was the same travel time,due to hols I felt that the traffic was less if not im sure it could have taken more time the journey was made during the day

I'm planning to drive to kandy and would like to know the road condition and the travel time taken from Colombo to Kandy,has the road works been completed or still ongoing? also on the return leg thought of doing a bit of a detour and would like to find out the time taken from Kandy --Nawalapitya - Ginigathena - Colombo and the road condition and time needed for it

Been using a Ford Laser (YOM 92) 1300 cc for the last 3 years and it s a good car with AC its 7-8 in Colombo and outstations 12-13 kmpl The maintenance is easy and looks are ok too,but make sure you get a good car many have had their carbs messed up by local bass'unas

I only know a bit about the Hyundai Accent and the Nissan March Hyundai is a good car but early accents has issues and parts durability is not as good as a jap car Nissan March is a very good car if you get it from 2002 onwards but then again the price is a factor as 2002 + cars are bit on the north of your budget ,i knew many ppl who had the march and no complaints so far (they all did long trips and good economy too)

if it was genuine parts then i guess its kind of ok but if imitation parts were used then its a scam or if he said new and didnt use new but used re-con parts thats also a scam in another note i do know for a fact that to do the suspension for a old jap car like a CK series lance costs atleast 100k plus

@OP, where do you travel 300kms in a single trip to go home? is it Jaffna,Trinco or Kataragama side? If your ok to go a little older to 2001/02 you an buy a decent proton wira for about 1 million and have Mitsubishi reliability for the running gear ,only the interior plastics and tail lights tend to crack though
