  1. 1 Sri 1 came with Automatic Transmission. ABS was in 1970s Benz cars. I have the original catalog of 505 but year unknown as cover is missing. (Post number 217) http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/13961-car-catalogues-brochures-warning-graphics-heavy/page-11
  2. Wet look !!!! Adagena naa gaththama kohomath wet look thama Bro, you have to direct your topic and make clear your description properly. In case if your topic is for cars, still we don't know it is for car body or tyres or for interior panels ......
  3. Thanks Schiffer. In which year was this? (Peugeot 505 Advertisement)
  4. 250kW solar panel???? It should be '250W' not '250kW'. For installing a Solar Net Metering System, (1) You have to decide how many units (1unit = 1kWh) you need to generate per month. Usually 1 solar panel of 250W generates around 27 - 30 units (kWh) per month (2) To obtain required number of units , how many solar panels you need? (3) To fix that number of solar panels, do you have enough space on your roof , without shading. (4) Suitable inverter capacity. There are number of parameters to check before you go for a Solar Net Metering System. Basically it is worth if you use more than 180 - 200 units per month.
  5. Those catalogs I collected while my recent visit to Taiwan. (Taiwan & China are LHD, but Hong Kong being a part of China, it is RHD). Also got some interesting Honda catalogs ;CRZ, Accord...and will post when time permits me.

  8. Below advertisement came in a recent newspaper. It seems that you can change the vehicle class (category) without changing the registration number. Correct me if I am wrong.
  9. Added previous link. (2008 Allion) http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/9953-which-one-is-better2008-toyota-allion-1500cc-or-1800cc/

  12. Thanks iRage. Do you have any link for full JDM catalog for KE72/74?. (I remember there was a link but it didn't give very clear catalog. (Sorry if I am repeating the same question in the forum) Seems many variants in the family.
  13. My eyes were stuck. Great work mate. Congrats !!! As far as I remember nickel door handles originally came for flat roof (low roof) version only. Am I correct? Yes iRage, you are correct. Our KE72 was in metallic dark blue colour when we purchased from car sale and paint at door arches started to peel off at very first service. It clearly showed that original colour was white, I remember once Silvy mentioned that applying new paint coat, installing a new tire set and new battery convert the car in to "Reconditioned" in those days and our one confirmed the Sylivi's statement.
  14. Madz, can we have the group photo please?
  15. To avoid such troublesome animals it may need to make the place unpleasant to the animal. Example: I made upper panel of the wall mounted pantry cupboards in glass (but glass panel is not visible from out side) and even single cockroach never get in to that cupboard. Similarly I am going to mount some glass boxes for outer wall of the lower pantry cupboards, because cockroaches tend to be away from the light. How about an installing light sensor fix to a lamp on garage floor which make uncomfortable with rats movements. (Once we have used a lamp under the car and it was successful but I don't think it will work with every instance. ) May be below link give some tips. (additionally to methods already suggested) http://hubpages.com/hub/Mice-in-Your-Motor Leave the hood up. Rodents are looking for a dark place to nest. This idea works fine, outside, in the desert, until the rains start; if that's not your situation, read on... Hide your dog food, cat food, and birdseed. Dog food is the gold, the store of value, of rat society. Rats will stuff pounds and pounds of it into the air cleaner, glove compartment, or other void space in your car. Remove or seal off rat hiding places near the car. Cut down shrubbery and vines. If you are fortunate enough to have a garage, block rat-sized entrances to the building, or spray them with fragrances rats hate (see below). Next line of defense: block small entrances to the engine compartment. Some car owners place traps on top of the wheels, since rats climb wheels to get into the engine. Some block engine openings with wire screen or brillo pads. Next line of defense: electronic deterrent devices. Unlike us, rats can hear ultrasound, and it annoys them, at least for a while until they learn to ignore it. Strobe lights like Mouse Blocker or Rid-a-Rat may work for longer periods, as they dispel the darkness rats are attracted to. Next line of defense: make your engine and its entrances stink. At least to rats. Readers have had success with peppermint oil, powdered fox urine, used cat litter, cat hair, dog hair, Pine-Sol, Irish Spring soap, red pepper, and laundry dryer sheets. The people who make "Rataway" tell you to spray it on all the wires in the engine. Next line of defense: use traps to remove the rats who get through. The old-fashioned snap traps work. Glue traps work too but may torture the rat. Humane cage traps may work. Baits do kill rats eventually but are likely to poison predators, including domestic animals. (Also Rumesh can watch "MouseHunt" film repeatedly)
  16. Happy new year to all of you !!! 2015
  17. From FB. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10152811214656844
  18. (1) Agree with Don. A lady complains to the Police that her neighbour walks naked. Police visit her house and says "Madam, we can't see such a thing, your home is surrounded by a nice parapet wall". Lady says , "Please climb on to my room window and see trough his wall air vents". If Aqua owners gather and do what ever they like, why do Autolanka people worry? Even we Viva Elite owners have such a FB group which is very much helpful for us and no disturb to other make owners. (2) I am against this word "Thel Hinganna" frequently use here. You guys use wrong word for a particular meaning. There is a difference in the meaning of "Hinganna" and "Lobhaya". "Hinganna" is a person who lack or weak in financial ability to attempt the purpose. "Lobhaya" is a greedy person who is not willing to spend money even for the highly required things/events. So it should be "Thel Lobhaya". (FYI, Hinganna ,Pulanna also different meanings in SInhala) "Thel Masura" may be handy to use. Yes, I am a "Thel Hinganna" , but not "Thel Masura" , I don't have my own good car and much money to pump fuel for such a high capacity car. Hence I use 3 cylinder small cheap hatchback as my daily runner. (But I am happy as I don't use even a credit card and I always use my hard earned money, no such loans and so far already achieved all basic events I expected through my life ) I know this is not personally targeted to me. But this is my own thinking.
  19. Thanks Mazds for arranging such a great event. It was nice to meet the forum members never met before. Sorry for leaving the event early. Photos please....

  22. Actually last time Sylvi returned back , after I requested him to do so. However one member complaining me over the phone for bringing him back . So I won't repeat it. If you talk to Sylvi over the phone, I am sure most of you(even Watchman) will change your mind on Sylvi. I am personally in touch with about 15 regular members of AL (mostly over the phone and through FB.) Much happy if AL can arrange a simple meet-up at the end of the year. By the way, it is time to "Autolanka Awards-2014". Hope MD will appear soon with "FILES".
  23. Agree with you. (Sorry I don't know about Member Holla) Sylvi - Yes, his weakness is, if he starts to talk on "Floor Tiles" ended up with "Gotukola" But I still like to see him here due to his unlimited history knowledge on the field. He is the unique member for that subject. I always admire him, being the age over 70years, his presence with young chaps, which nobody will do. Komi - I don't think that he will be back. But I love to see him again here. Lost valuable member to AL.
