  1. Hope mentioning his contact details will not violate any forum rules. Mr.Mahesh Mudannayaka - Tel: 071-4725522 His work place is situated at the beginning of Colombo-Katunayaka Expressway at Peliyagoda. (SRI105 Auto AC). He works alone and no golayas. Takes time but ultimately goods job end of the day. (He repaired my previous Jap Alto A/C as well) Total job was Rs.17,000 including all materials. I am not an expert on auto A/C subject. The temperature shown is the lowest inside air vent. It does not mean that cabin temperature will be 9.7 Celsius. After the job, kept few minutes A/C on and gradually temperature drops and was stable around at 10 -11 Celsius (in side the vent). I hope there is no issue with instrument calibration. (Correct me if anything has gone wrong)
  2. A/C repair and service done - Cont.
  3. A/C repair and service done After running 56,000km within four and half years and my car A/C system was out. I felt cooling was dropping gradually and two days ago suddenly lost the cooling totally. Taken my car to Mr.Mhesh Mudannayaka at Sri105, Peliyagoda. Done a superb job. Had to replace evaporator. Also replaced cabin air filter, all “o” rings and fully serviced the A/C system and now A/C works pretty fine. Cont.

  11. There is a saying in Sinhala called "Wedi Aadare Dabaretayi". I remember before you join AL, you came to Viva Elite Owners Club and made a post inquiring a white Presea and I deleted your post since it was irrelevant for us. Everywhere you were madly seeking a white Presea. Even after you bought your Presea, I was surprised on you as you were talking about girls driving preaseas and all nonsense rather than taking your vehicle. Simply I avoid your thread. For me it was a headache everywhere appearing in the forum Presea, Presea, Presea without good information on automotive subject It is your vehicle and you have right to sell at any point due to any reason. I see you as a person who became mad on a girl and divorced her after an immediate marriage. You are confused with your dream vehicle and your exact requirement. Brother, don't feel bad on my words. But you have to be mature enough. Anyway my best wishes for your next vehicle. Good-luck !!!
  12. Daihatsu Delta ???
  13. I remember Delta, Bon-Bon, Milady toffees in early 80s. Delta toffee had wrappings with different colour strips (orange, green, blue, green & red). I had a collection of those wrappings when I was a kid (around 1983-84). Zellers chocolate and Alerics ice cream also were popular. And why not Bulto?
  14. Nothing happened. Still available. I had 5pcs in last week.
  15. In Sri Lanka, old vans ended up as school vans, CTB buses ended up as private buses, spacious station wagons ended up as hearses. I frequently see two old hearses (make unknown) at Kadawatha and both are "face-lift" with a Trad Sunny "face" and a Sunny B15 "face". I was surprised when I see white B15 with 15 Sri plates. Some history on hearses in Sri Lankan given below. http://www.afraymond.lk/home.htm Visit history page.
  16. Rolls Royce Found Sweeping Roads In India! https://www.facebook.com/sahiljagtiani/photos/a.707661025939146.1073741825.126521564053098/768444299860818/?type=3&theater One day during his visit to London, King Jai Singh was walking in a casual dress in Bond Street. He saw a Rolls Royce showroom and went inside to inquire about the Price and Features etc of their cars. Considering him as just another Poor Indian citizen, the showroom salesmen insulted him and almost showed him the way out of the showroom. After this insult, King Jai Singh came back to his Hotel room and asked his servants to call the showroom and say that the King of #Alwar_city is interested in purchasing a few of their Cars. After a few hours the King reached the Rolls Royce showroom again but with his full astonishing royal manner and in his royal costume. When he reached the showroom there was already a red carpet on the floor and all the salesmen were bent with respect. The King purchased all the six cars that they had at the showroom at that time and paid the full amount including the delivery costs. After reaching India, the King ordered the municipal department to use all those six Rolls Royce cars for cleaning and transporting the city’s waste. The World’s number one Rolls Royce cars were being used for transportation of the City’s waste. The news spread all over the world rapidly and the reputation of the Rolls Royce Company was down the drain. Whenever someone used to boast in Europe or America that he owned a Rolls Royce, people would laugh saying, “which one? The same that is used in India for carrying the waste of the City?” Due to such reputation damages, the sales of Rolls Royce dropped rapidly and the revenue of company owners started falling down. Then they sent a Telegram to the king in India with their sincerest apologies and requested him to stop transporting waste in Rolls Royce cars. Not only this but they also offered Six new cars to the king free of cost. When King Jai Singh observed that Rolls Royce had learnt their lesson and were sorry for their mistakes, the king stopped using their cars for carrying waste.
  17. Daihatsu Hijet or Mitsubishi Minivan ?
  18. May be. If I am not mistaken it is 14 Sri number vehicle registered in 1986-1987.
  19. Looks like Mahendra Bolero Pick-Up. Anyway I feel it is almost similar to Pajero 1st generation tail light when up side down.
  20. I always dream to see under ground metro trains in Sri Lanka. Yes, implementing cost is very high. I don't know why government does not think to start such projects with foreign partnerships giving more benefit to them to enjoy for years. This kind of projects are more valuable than so called Volkswagon project. Just imagine examples routes like Fort - Moratuwa , Fort -Kadawatha. Fort-Rajagiriya which will reduce the traveling time as well as reducing the number of vehicles come to Colombo for just a single passenger. Also Colombo need some buses run in circular way in separate sub areas(also some shuttle buses) , which will minimize tuk-tuks for short distances. We have missed the service given by tram cars and trolley buses good old days. It is regret that still we can't handle the railway system properly. Once I heard that number of railway unions are higher than the number of trains run daily in Sri Lanka.
