Hi all,
I have a Toyota Vitz 2011 (KSP130). After I recently changed the battery, the engine started vibrating much more than before when its idle/brake. It already had some vibration issues earlier, but this has made it worse.
I tried the idle relearn procedure from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPrnH6VRBsI
It didn't help.
I’m aware that this model has a history of engine vibration issues that is linked to the engine mounts, which I replaced a couple of years ago. But that isn't the issue because the vibration was not worse before the battery change. From what I can tell, the idle RPM is dropping too low now, which causes the engine to shake noticeably when idling. It had a higher RPM before the battery change.
Is there a way to manually increase the idle RPM to reduce the vibration? Or is there another fix I should try?
