Guys i have come across a mazda 323 sedan.I think it's a special edition it has got a vvti engine,all 4 disc brakes,with triptronic transmission..Is it risky to buy a special edition??..would it be hard to find gearbox and parts??Or should i buy a normal one?

apart from that it's really a bullet-proof car...but the old mechanicsm parts starting to show age as you said..and the car is pretty damn heavy,i would feel the metal inside,but a comfortable drive no way sporty.

Hi sonariz i don't know much about fb15. Check your engine and transmission mounts.Bad transmission mounts can feel like erratic kick downs.If your one has a kick down cable it can be broken too.because of that not engaging proper gears so you have bad pulling power.But in other way you engine plugs may be misfiring or clogged injectors,bad sensor causing rough engine can happen.You better take it to A*W tommorow and do a engine diagnosis first.

Hi ferio best way to find is actually open the bonet and and listen for yourself from where the actual sound coming from...I have gone to several maka bases before to find out a annoying sound like this...Some were ready to replace engine mounts and everything.Got fed up and i tried to figure it out my self.guess what it was a loosen radiator fan hitting it's case at certain times..Anyway since the sound came after you replaced the T-belt..Make sure the tensioners are new as well.If not you are going to get screwed soon running like this..Park it on a good steep hill facing down or up tell someone to apply foot breaks only.All the loosen sounds will come.

tanx a lot k9 you seems to have a thorough knowledge on these things.Yes repairing on things always leads me to actually replace the whole unit after few months so far.I'll be looking for a throttle body,used sensor if possible.And thanks for the advise on selling the car..I got some deals on Mazda hatchback and Nissan n16 for 18k price range.Anyway Would like to stay away from garages for a while. it's kind of becoming a drug for me.Tanx again

Haha it seems now only the engine is left to be replaced/..... To tell you this is bit of a unlucky car for me.I would use it for few months for the sake of repairing satisfaction and sell it. :music-smiley-019:anyway became a bit of a mechanic and got enlightened because of this car.Happy about that . Tanx for the help.Will post after replacing the sensor or the throttle body how things works.

Hi rumesh i went to A*W today and found out it was the mass airflow sensor.I went to Mr.dhammika before but he couldn't figure it out,he was depending on ecu readings.But a good efi tune up mechanic i must say.Need to find a sensor or throttle body now.Hope things go well.tanx a lot.

HI K9master,You are spot on!!wow !I feel like such a looser for running after maka basses garages all these times.Went to A*W today and found out it was the MAF sensor..They said they can repair it.Are there new or used sensors for sale?or do i have to change the throttle body?? Do you have an idea of prices of a sensor unit vs whole throttle body.tanx

Hi rumesh no it was just to explain my frustration but have to say i'm really fed up.Yes the problem is always there after 10-15 min of driving.No matter headlight or a/c on or off.The engine would turn rough and vibrating.And randomly bogs i can't accelartae. Do you know any good places to check these things...
