audi still hasn't gotten a diesel variant for the permit yet but their petrol version (a4 1.8t) with pretty much most options except sunroof is a good buy. car is also bigger than the 3 series

true story when we were on the hunt for a jeep, the older range rovers were on the list of possibles. when i went to the service center on kirula road and spoke to someone. first thing he asked me was do you travel alot out of town (answer yes) then his answer was best have a spare vehicle for those trips. just ask he finished the sentence, a flat bed rolled in with a RR and he said that was the best one in town. went with a monty instead.

got some news from kandy qualifying is going to happen on friday night starting at 8 race will be sat starting around 8 town will pretty much be evacuated from 5 onwards and designated spots given for people to watch. so make sure you come early as there isn't a whole lot of spots to watch from. crowd control is going to be the major problem. so make sure you get there early.

the details on this event are up in the air. i heard that quals will be sat morning and the race will be sat night. again not sure how accurate any of this is.

duty on PC is either 2.5 or 6 percent. there is no vat but the other taxes apply.

i don't think the a-f series was for re-registration. i think they skipped over these series as there are already registrations in existence for the old numbers such as EN-, CY- etc. on vintage cars.

no specific person to talk to ..yo uwill just have to speak to someone from the transfers section. i believe they don't do 1 day transfers for duplicate CR's because they are supposed to investigate if the CR you have is legit etc.

word is that the nsx was picked up and is currently being restored.

you can probably go alot sooner and pick it up if you want but chances are they haven't even gotten to your file. even after a month, mine wasn't done when it should have been done and ready to post. so they did it immediately (took about an hour) and gave it to me.

you can't do a 1 day transfer. you have to go through the normal procedure. they usually send it by post but you can pick it up personally after a month
