  6. Hey @Crosswind. Nice to here from you.
  7. The gassette issued on 10th was all about how vehicles are taxed according to engine capacity. It seems there are 3 more taxes. It will take another 3-4 weeks to decide how these taxes will be implemented. (Hopefully before the 1st of Feb) Also what this guy says make some sense at this point
  8. So this new Nissan Xtrail e-power is basically an EV with a petrol generator to charge the battery instead of plugging to a charger. Will it be taxed under EV vehicle or a hybrid? @iRage
  9. I experienced this in my previous Corolla axio 141 as well. It had torsion beam at the back
  10. Can you please give some examples ?
  11. Mazda agent /Col.M has introduced prices for mazdas

  17. Peugeot 607
  18. And this is what the agent quotes for its crossover lineup. 😱 I'd rather buy much larger Rav4 with extra bucks than the Corolla Cross.
  19. Yeah, I have considered Corolla Cross as well. It stands between CHR and RAV4 in Toyota Crossovers segment. The highest trim levl seems nice with Moon roof, digital display, full leather interior and all. But other trim levels don't offer much compared to even CH-R. And not ready to settle down for anything less than a mid sized crossover this time.🤪
  20. Vezel and Corolla Cross don't feel like an upgrade for me. ZRV maybe a better choice. Or else as you said, should wait for Toyota's new mid sized next gen with smaller engines. As the last resort may have to settle down with a second hand CRV or a Harrier as prices would go down a little bit with the start of imports.
  21. I take your advise. But there are very few options for someone who needs an upgrade from a compact crossover to a mid sized one. With current tax system all Toyotas are out of the picture. Harrier having a 2L engine and RAV4 even bigger. CRV(gasoline) still has 1.5L engine and cannot find any RHD ones in Japanese auctions. I hardly think we can get down from Aussie this time with what happened in 2018. The agent will quote around 25 million for brand new ones for sure. Tuscon and Sportage were advertised with competitive price tags. Should look into them as well. Those are the only reliable ones come to mind with 1.5L engines.
  22. Yes...which is why I said I feel like the biggest used car price change in the local market would be for the small vehicles. As the vehicle gets larger the options are quite small. Even the Yaris Cross and X-Trail or Kicks with the smaller engine, the vehicle price itself is quite high (we are looking at about 2mil yen ish for YCs and Kicks and XTrails well over 3mil). Those prices the car sales advertise are prices bottom of the barrel The agent quotes 28 million for the brand new Xtrail Epower. I'm pretty sure a used one could be brought down just under 20 million even with luxury tax
