  1. is there any visible oil leaks ?? check under body ones as well.. if non, when was the last time you changed engine oil and how many km's have you done as of now?
  2. Hi @offroad12 With regards to your concern there was a place in SL where they do accident repairs as per the manufacture spec.. without harming the strength of the metal.. Go to Youtube and search for Sukkanama.. If possible please watch last month episodes you will get the contact details there.. I can't remember the place or the name properly.. Hope this helps you.
  3. However check whether there are any loose connection, if there isn't you may proceed with replacing the item
  4. Hi @kanchana2504 There is no issue in running with the issue till it gets failed permanently. But my advice is to replace it as soon as possible since this will impact ur fuel efficiency. Because since there is a malfunction in TPS your gear shifting will not be smooth as before also will go for high revs to change gears.. As per my understanding a recon one should be not more than 6k. its a pretty straightforward thing (just plug and play)
  5. Yes .. as far as i know, its not suitable for SL with shitty fuel quality we have.. Better stay out of it. unless that, dts the most amazing cab iv ever drove.. Which has a super pulling power even with an auto tranny.
  6. As far as i know there is a special sort of filter (if you look from the outside) in engine bay compartment, to absorb this petrol gas which will be built inside petrol tank (correct me if iam wrong), this smell could be due to malfunction in that system or if you are getting it from the back side, then probably some leakage in fuel line could be a possibility as well.. @Rumesh88 may be able to give you a better resolution on this matter i believe.
  7. is it liquid name is "soltron" ? Could it be due to some leakage in fuel line ?
  8. That's great news. much appreciated if you could share the details of the shop and the cost for future reference for someone else
  9. adding to what Davy mentioned, do you feel any raise in RPM ? like it revs alot to change gears or something ? unusual behavior ? or is it just the "back with sound when the gear is returning back" ??
  10. Im not aware of this issue, however if that's the case then fit GP5 should have the same issue, since it also has the same gear box mechanism..
  11. I believe its the average fuel consumption.. whats the tranny ? and if you drive in colombo daily with traffic then, that's not a bad figure.. But there is no harm in doing an engine tuneup as well..
  12. thanks for the update machan.. if you dont mind mention the place(contact details) and cost for the job as well
  13. Thanks for the explanation and suggestions @Rumesh88
  14. So if there is such issue, what are the things i should do to overcome the problem ? Sorry to take this thread into another way, i but i hope this might help the current thread as well
  15. @Rumesh88 what does it mean if you see oil residue on the air filter ? (assuming engine isn't burning any oil nor any oil leaks)
  16. I did the coil replacement as well (if im not mistaken) and it cost me somewhere around 7500 ~ (not exactly sure) because the part was given along with some other components as the shop owner told they won't sell only the coil. ( this is what my mechanic told) However my issue was alternator stopped charging at all, therefore once we check for the root cause it was found out to be blown coil pack (if i recall properly)
  17. What's the status of your battery ? is it in good condition ? Can recommend a place around nawala, if its close by for you.
  18. If the pressure is low, that means there could be a leak somewhere in the system. Therefore perform a pressure test and identify the issue
  19. Please use below link to see the location. Place is highly recommended since i've been going there for almost 13 years (whenever i get any AC troubles ) https://www.google.co.in/maps/@6.9020721,79.9056396,3a,75y,89.37h,88.6t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sskQsT9vSJKijAP2qBV2Yig!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en
  20. Great. keep us posted
  21. Yes as @Twin Turbo mentioned get your cooling fan speeds, fuse/relays checked and radiator cleaned if its blocked
  22. Hi There To me it looks like the gauge ticks have been broken.. this will not cost you much.. better get it inspected by a good mechanic and do the required repair..
  23. Please do keep us posted on your findings.. If you are close to kotte area, then i can recommend a good AC repair place as well..
  24. Thanks great news. Hope your problem is resolved by the way, cost of the repair depends on the repair job and wear of internal parts.. he costed me 80k for my CVT gearbox repair, and also suggested he rather wanted me to go for a recon one since i can find one for bit more less amount
  25. Hi there Sorry to hear about this.. But i hope below thread will give you a headsup.
