  1. Sweet entry list bro... I saw ur whizzing past Bars on tue night around 10:00.. Car sounds good man.. Any trouble from cops?
  2. Andrew.. Can u pls post the entry list for SL-GT & SL-H if u have access to it.. Even an incomplete list is fine..
  3. Sorry for the delay.. Here's the link http://#####/322526477807195/
  4. Guys there's even a facebook page with 600 odd members bashing continental.. Is is within the rules to post the link?
  5. I've had exide in both my cars & my generator.. All of them died within 1 n a half years.. I'm now using global - normal & maintenance free (for just over a year) and so far they seem seems excellent..
  6. that should be h*t ad..
  7. What about a hybrid i.e. Insight? I saw an unreg one in yesterday's ##### for 3.8..
  8. Thanks. Soulja.. I received ur pm so I gave him a shout last evening.. Mobil is indeed bringing it down but it'll be only available from the 1st week of July. So, i'm scratching my head trying to think what to do...
  9. I initially thought so too.. So when I went to Singapore (similar weather to ours) I paid a visit to the Honda service center n they only use 0w-20. I asked them why n they said that the fuel efficiency will take a hit with anything else n also the lubrication passages n channel in the insight are really small n that the only other option that should be considered is 5W-20 (which is also not available in Sri Lanka)... To confirm what Kah Motors said (Honda Singapore) I fired a quick call to Honda Malaysia.. They too said the same thing.. So as u can see i'm stuck in a bit of a dilemma...
  10. Tried Unit#d Mot#rs (Valvoline), Motorcade, Laughs, Toyota Lanka, A*W (Castrol), McLarens (Mobil).. No one has it.. Seems like it's not available in sl?
  11. Toyota Lanka only has 5W-30 semi-synthetic oil... Any other suggestions of where I maybe able to find 0W-20 guys?
  12. Thanks everyone for all ur help.. Will try T-Bag's advice n try at Toyota Lanka...
  13. 2010 Honda Insight.. Grade recommended is 0W-20..
  14. I need help to find it.. No one seems to be selling it over here.. So i'm trying to find a shop or retailer..
  15. Thanks guys. What I meant was i'm looking for that specific grade (0W-20) which is stated in the user's manual.. Stafford sells Motul 0W-30 for Rs. 2600/= per 1 litre can.. I want to use what is recommended & not what they are trying to palm off on me..
  16. Hi guys.. Does anyone know where to buy the proper oil for hybrid vehicles.. I mean the manufacturer specified 0W-20 & not the 0W-30 that Stafford & Toyota try to sell to u claiming it's recommended for the hybrids.. Thanks, Yusuf
  17. Fuzzo, are you talking about 0w-20 or 0w-30? I'm looking high n low for the 0w-20 cuz the owner's manual says so n I prefer to stick to it. After all, Honda Japan are not idiots to specify one kind of all n expect u to use another?
  18. Thanks I didn't know that.. Only what the dealer told me Thanks so much for the info... Yup.. It's Honda Insight
  19. Hey.. I have a friend who bought a prius 5 weeks ago.. It came from the car sale with full tank (nice buggers).. Now the car doesn't go out much but last time I checked it had done 563km & the indicator was still over quarter tank remaining with the on board computer showing 18kmpl & 4 out of 5 possible green leaves in the display. Plus the insight has an additional eco mode for more fuel efficiency which had not been switched on preventing the idle stop from working. Switch this on and i'm sure you will get 20kmpl but it all comes down to how much of a heavy foot you have... However, it is known that the Honda IMA technology while being slightly less efficient than the Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive can run with or without the battery.. I know for a fact that if the battery in any Toyota hybrid dies that's it.. You have to tow the vehicle to a garage whereas the Honda hybrid will just get up n go on it's petrol engine. For these reasons, I recommended my friend to go for the Insight. I was initially anti-hybrid but after driving it a few times I can say it has all the right Honda elements & it as fast as my Civic D15B. Good luck with your purchase, Yusuf...
  20. I had a friend who owned one.. 301- model, 5 speed manual. 1996 I beiieve.. It had 186,000 km on the clock when he got it.. He was the 3rd owner.. He used it everyday from Malabe to Colombo.. Sold it at 220,000 km & all he did was routine tune ups, service, changed timing belt, brake pads.. Nothing major... It's a good car if it has been looked after.. As range rover said, for a car of this nature, maintenance records will help.. Not to mention you can tell a lot by speaking to the owner... Cheers
  21. Hi... Don't wanna hijack the thread but I have a 1999 Honda Civic EK2 (1.3L) Auto.. The gauge cluster doesn't have a rpm meter. I was wondering if I get a EK3 (1.5L) auto gauge cluster with the rpm whether it will work.. Cuz the ecu n the pinouts maybe different?
  22. Hey guys.. I'm looking to buy an A33 Automatic cefiro but i'm confused as to which trim to be looking for... I can't decide whether to look for Excimo, 2.0G or S-Touring? I'm looking for decetly low mileage one with Automatic transmission, leather seats (electric preferred but not required) & xenon headlamps... How can i distinguish between JDM & Singapore imports (I've heard the singapore cars have interior quality issues).. How is reliability, spares etc... Thanks in advance..
  23. Machan I'm only gettin home on the 27th... Any chance bout postponing? Akram is also comin in pretty late.. Please Choks...
  24. Ah k... Can u point me towards one by any chance? Or recommend someone who can point me towards 1... Thanks a lot...
