His uncle probably screamed cos he had a few near misses, abrupt stops or watever, i'm guessing. It's not like there is a clear view from the passenger seat to the drivers feet postion.

17K??? Crazy prices. Assuming the hybrid system or whatever doesn't need any service as such you probably could've done the service somewhere else for around 10k or under. Then you have an extra 7k to spend on fuel.

I think you have got the wrong size as well. Check the sticker near the driver's side door. Need 175 tires for it.

Yep...can't believe how shortsighted ppl are when they spend a few 100k extra and buy a crap toyota 110 just cos it will do 12 kmpl in traffic or something. They could've easily bought a newer or better condition car and kept the balance money for petrol. -

As I remember the Tata jeeps were bought through a Indian credit line extended to the government. One of the clauses of the loan would have been to use indian stuff

2006 is still considered a new car! You may ruin the interior by a poor DIY job, or some small shop may mess it up for you. If it looks that bad for you, wouldnt it be easier for you to sell this car and by another one??

As it has already been mentioned, your big problem will be if there is a accident. Since you wont be able to claim insurance, you will have to foot the entire repair bill regardless of whose fault it is. Anyway when someone without a valid license has a accident it is automatically considered their fault. As you say its a brand new car and all, very foolish to risk it.

The article says "The Transport Ministry is considering requests to increase the maximum speed limit on the Southern Expressway to 120 kmph" . Don't think it has been increased 'officially'.
