Of course I can remember Hola! Infact Clubman Minis got a classic value too.I was searching for a Clubman for my (our) V-Tec project but never came across a good one,especially a clubman with a good body.Finally settled with a Mk6 and opted for a 4 inch extension to accomodate the B16. 4.75/= is a reasonable tag I should say!

Hi Guys! Sorry as usual I was out of colombo and back again! If you guys want to buy a good mini..go for a mini with suspension,body,barkes upgraded above Mk6 and above.Or else buy a Mk6 or above.Rest will give you nothing but pain for sure. Go for a Mini with recent type body and engine transplant..thats highly recomended as long as it carries the original registrartion and authentic Mini VIN.Its totally legal to run a such car.Two of my cars carry upgraded bodies and engines but with original and authentic registrations. so to start with..buy a Mini with a late engine,servo disk type front suspensioned,upgraded rear subframes and new body.rest will tell you one by one.Finally..Mini minors are sold at a very high price these days!

Im not impressed! Leading car agets were missing..only three classic/vintage cars were there...only one Mini,few number of super cars and not even enough space to move around

No No don't worry! Just mentioned only one model.I honestly dont see any reason to be dissapointed.In SL hundreds of well maintained Mini minors are to choose from.Just dont worry about the Mk7 Coopers Get settled with a late model carb type non Cooper.You can mod or customize it with a Cooper after market pack. You can even supercharge it locally.So dont get dishearten.Cheer up and come down..Give me a call..will help you to be a proud Mini owner. Cheers!

Hi pal Don! Yes i have a Cooper S EFi.Thats a Mk6.with higher final drive, driver airbag, side impact beams, better sound insulation, improved front seats, a front-mounted radiator and sportspack with fat 13 inch wheels.This is the Red babe featured in a famous commercial! the last authentic Cooper s EFi Mk6 in SL. The Mini panel job is very easy and any good auto technician can handle even without a previous expeirience on a mini. Body panels are widely available through Japanese used parts dealers and at few mini dealers in Colombo but with new restrictions on importing body parts,things are becoming bit complicated. Only two authentic 98-99 MK7 Coopers are in SL.so your idea is going to be a dream only. Machan I agree with what you mentioned about 10 inch disk units and brakes but front 12 inch disk subframes now turned 10inch units locally.This is cheaply done and not complicated too. Computers in SL Minis..wow like to know more about them. Mini sensors are not complicated ,so dont worry too much about them. Well Dizzy behaviours in wet is an old story.Todays Dizzys are much more reliable in wet.If not a rubber glove would do the honors.New minis (post Mk6) have weather protection kits fitted as an option or else available at reputed Mini dealers. It was really fun there at Minneriya today! Janaka won both GT races with Dinesh second! Mind you after many years it was really hot ,the GT event. To start with Aravinda Dinesh collission.It looked like Aravinda ran slower than his normal pace and Dinesh collided with him at the fast down slope when tried to overtake the EVO7.Dinesh went hard on brakes to avoid the contact but the fully locked brakes didnt help him at all when for an unknown reason AP braked hard and early at the corner.The side impact took AP over the tire wall. Then on the second race Aravinda was chasing Dinesh hard.AP went out of control narrowly escaped Evo9 and and collided with Nalin.The Dilpriya Sti7 was very badly damaged.You all must see the television replays! It was hot,fun and thrilling!

Well I have a different opinion about running NOS in competition.Especially in SL.Thats the last trump and the most desperate move in racing I belive.What you guys think of it?Please post your view about it and please do not make this a window to sling mud at others especially Aravinda or make bad comments. Anyways I guess Aravinda is going to give Dineshs' unstoppable EVO9 a run for his money and spectators a moneyworth battle.

No it was postponed..but i guess its cancelled! This shows how capable and efficient our club is ,not even Sri Lankas most active motoring group (autolanka family) is kept at dark about the postponment. To tell you guys honestly the bad politics of the club is taking the whole Mini community a wrong direction. Im not trying to critisize the club here but personnaly unhappy about everything.the club is yet to impress the Mini racers as SLAS proposed rules for the year 2007 of Mini one make event is going to add the final nails to SL Mini racing RIP coffin!!

The club is dead now.President Avindra left the country last saturday and will get settled there in Italy or India soon.Past president Ruwan migrated too.Club needs young blood to gain a new life!

This picture was taken off the seas of "champianpattu" near "chalai"mid february where the boat was last seen.Then parts of the dismanteled hull and the very rare kind of four 75hp Yam**a outboards were found in a Negombo safe house by Police last weekend along with this photogarph.This by no means Negombo is a terra hideout and Negombo people are terrorists.just to add bit of humor to my pal Holas comments (unfortunately some Mr perfects dont get it thatway) and nothing else.Im proud and happy to be a resident in Negombo and I have never seen Morons or Donkeys here!!! Peace guys..dont create unpleasantness by adding bad comments or hurt there feelings on your views over other peoples posts.
