    Ford Escape 2011

    Hi My bother in Malaysia and he got ford escape 2011 model. some occasions the radiator fans are not will stop when he switch off the car. it will run till drain the battery. and he is not able to fix this via ford agents either. do you have any idea of this issue? sira

Guys After spending utmost time with this issue , I think I found the issue. today I replace the 2 rotors with Brambo which is 5.5K and the one side issue has gone (right side) But the left side is still remain and checked this issue with a dial gauge . see the picture. the issue with now is the hub. I remember when I replace the hub razor, the way he separated the hub and racer was questionable . used hammer to remove the racor part which attached to hub. so it could be the issue with the warp rotor. will update the out come soon.
  5. Following issues on my EK3 will give a headache. I normally DIY some of things and i was enjoying it. But now it looks it may cost me around 100K. 1. Differential backlash sound, "cluck" noise when release clutch. Cannot fixed rather dismantle gear box and do over hall. 2. Brake rotors has run out (small warp) and need to change them. 3. Drum brakes are out of the service limit. Need to replace them. 4. Sometime outside smoke coming in to car, cannot rectify the place. Re-pack the heater box, still issue is there 5. Replace the shocks no considerable difference. I think shock absorber springs are now work hardening. (They are not tend to depress smoothly) need to replace the springs. 6. Door looks motors are worn out. Difficult to sources them locally. Need a replacement of "Mabuchi" motors. 7. 2 Allow wheels got small warp and in 120,130 Kmph, car is wobbling. Need to change all wheels. 8. Head lights are yellowish and in 2, 3 months after polish, again get stained. 9. Replace the clutch plates, pressure plats with Japanese units last year, but now again clutch is bit a hard. Not smooth as it initially. Will update some of them in future

Hi Guys I 'm planning to upgrade my car. currently I got Civic Ek3, Exi 98 model . it has reached 168K mileage. so now I think it is very old and also giving small small issues. still ok and I love Honda. what is the best car I can get with my range - 1.4-1.7m. I prefer below models 1. Nissan N16 2. Viva 3. Alto 4. Demio 5. mazda 323 any other ? please let me your views sira

  8. Friends, seems my rotors has run out and it is more than 0.01mm (this is the service limit according to civic manual) checked with a dial gauge. I think this cause me pulsing break ..etc where can I get the rotors lathe in less than above service limit sira
  9. Dear Friends I was using thie EK3 98 exi for a 5 years and as per my experience , there are few people can rectify the issue of Honda, it is not a complicated car but some of then are messing with model. don't know why. so better search few forum and find a good person to fix this .

  11. Hi When i depress break paddle and i can feel thet rear wheel get stopped. but after few min they will not (10-20)km . may be when they hot!! . this happens morning only.

    Dear Friends I 'm planning to buy Toyota KDH van , basically for tourism purposes. what are the things that need to consider? I know nothing with VANs and please guide me. so far I heard 1. There are some other models than Japanese models 2. Engine capacity and fuel consumption 3. delivery vs passenger models 4. Common issues 5. Price etc please advice me

  16. Friends Since I brought this bike plug 1 is dark and other are ok (white tip) so tried to do few tune-up and finally same issue. I also dismantle the 4 carbs and cleaned again last week but same issue. The jest was on 1,2,3 may have mixed with each other (4th carb jet and needle is different and it did not mixed up) during this process even thought 1,2,3 mixed with jets and needle , still 1st plug is dark. what cause of this issue? no miss fire, no wobbling, could it be valve issue? please advice
  17. Hi Sid I know this guy and he is not bad , but take some time to rectify issue. what have you changed so far. he is keen to change parts. I think multimatic made for high performance and the fuel consumption is averagely low. how is the plug color? if all are white then it's will be ok. The plugs MUST not be Dark and should be white tip. since EFI engine. let me know the color of plug post the list of replaced items as well sira
  18. Sid Where did you get this tune up? I got Exi 98 manual and does 10-12 city limit and somewhere 15 outstation. I think your one is recon one? with my experience on Exi for a 5 years , it is a good fuel economical car. how ever if some body mess the engine and throttle body , then it will worst. so better find a proper technicians. if you need , I will PM you . for a 5 years time I met some mechanics who do not know how to isolate the issue. my friend of mine also had 00 exi and it was messed too. never did 10 km city limit. . this is not a ordinary car and need well known person. there will be a distributor issue will cause the low fuel consumption too. sira

Thank you Rumesh I found some thing related to this . it says the Jet, Needle jet and camber set float are different in carb number 4. see this post http://www.hondahornet.org.uk/messageboard/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=29616. What is camber set . float? i think i need to find more details on this . now 1,2 plugs are bit a dark, but 3, 4 are perfectly white. need to find a guy with more specific with CBR and Hornet. found few chaps and they are telling 10 different stories on this.
  22. Thanks Rumesh How about the other carbs are they 88 ? it is very small letters on the jet it may be 98 (not sure)

Rumesh Is there different jet size on number 1 cylinder Carb and rest. initially I got 90 on the number 1 carb (where the break paddle side - right to left 1,2,3,4) and others are 88. the mechanic now changed it in to number 3 as the vacuum pipe attached to fuel tap. is this correct? or Number 1 cylinder must have 90 jet ? sira
  24. Finally 1. Changed the battery 2. Changed the spark Plugs 3. Tune up the carb Looks all fine and engine is very smooth. how ever the mechanic said the number 4 carb got a big than others and it is dark than other plugs . any idea?.
