  1. Nice machan... The Beragala-Ella-Wellawaya areas are renowned for breathtaking views. Excellent honeymoon locations..
  2. Wow nice to hear.. Planning to drive up to Nuwaraeliya somewhere around the end of March. Was thinking of taking the Ginigathhena-Hatton-N'eliya road because of the better scenery. But tempted to try out the route via Gampola now..
  3. Yes. I too agree on that. Good products at reasonable prices.. Their web site is not half bad either..
  4. Ditto that.. Travelled down that road two months back (unfortunately as a passenger) and wanting to take my car up there ever since.. Does anybody know the state of the Gampola Nuwaraeliya road. Couldn't go that way since it was remade. Must be in quite a good shape. From my experience regarding the best roads to drive on, the stretch from Ambalanthota to Kataragama via Weerawila and Tissmaharama is not too bad either. Now they are upgrading it and would be drivers dream before long..
  5. If you consider the railway lines as well, the best would be the journey between Hatton and Badulla..
  6. Ahh.. Have missed the notification.. Thanks Devinda..

Well it seemed like they were beginning some construction work at least on the side where McDonald car park is.. Just keep an eye on it while you enter from Galle Road side and turn right..
  8. Have sent a request.. Still no response..

The second phase is supposed to add two more lanes.. While passing by last Sunday, saw that the area near the temple and shed on the Colombo side is being cleared and some foundation work has begun. Probably that is where the next two lanes are coming up.. Regarding the Dehiwala fly over, I feel it is a timely need specially after getting stuck in the traffic every Friday evening all the way from Williams junction to the Dehiwala junction, I just can't wait for the fly over to come up. One specially bad day, I had to travel from Bamba to Dehiwala without shifting to the second gear even once..
  11. Wow... Quite a collection of beauties.. What on earth happened to the NISMO club after that... Time for a revival me thinks...
  12. :D
  13. Thanks Peri.. SR pack is really a cool name to get together all those who have the pleasure of driving SR powered machines.. Is there an existing one already..? If not lets re-brand the NPOC as the "SR pack".. and get all the Z, Pulsar and Bluebird owners in as well... After including Pila; Owners: 4 Enthusiasts: 3
  14. Thanks for the clarifications big boss
  15. Thanks GuruG.. Agree with your views.. No more car fanatics around now. It is all about fuel and expenses that people are worried about. Maybe that's why the corollas are so popular. People have forgotten the pleasure of driving a car that is worth driving. Anyway, we now have three Primera owners and several enthusiasts interested in forming the club. If there are other Primera owners on the AL forum hope they would also join in. First lets try and get a count as Ash mentioned. If the numbers are good, hopefully we can move forward. If you guys know of any other Primera owners who might be interested we can count them in as well. The minimum number for a successful NPOC would be around 20 me thinks.. So lets do a bit of a head hunt.. The current stats are; 3 owners and 3 enthusiasts. So all Primera owners/enthusiasts out there, please make yourselves known.. Now that I think about it, there is another P11 owner at our office who used to park right next to my car every day. The two cars are almost identical except for the colour. Should try and ring him up...
  16. I heard that you can tint all you like for the back windows but only 40% tint for the front ones.. Not sure though and never want to verify with a cop About the cost and place, I honestly do not know since it has been done a few months back before I bought the car. The place near Marrybrown is a good place to try.
  17. The tint is excellent.. It is the usual one but the tint level is not too high.. Helps to keep cop trouble away.. But strong enough to block out most of the heat and glare. In fact the tint and the windscreen sun shades keeps the car in quite a comfortable state even when parked for several hours in the sun..
  18. I know Ash.. There are really not enough Primera owners here.. I would say around 500 max in the whole country.. Out of those only a very few visit AL. So no real chance of forming a club.. Anyway lets see how things go.. One might never know. I should say the interest so far is not bad.. at least the number of enthusiasts is encouraging Can you please let me know how to join the NISMO CLUB.. Is it an active one? I got registered with the NPOC UK.. They seem to welcome members from foreign countries.. Anyways lets see if we can get an accurate count of Primera owners around here, but the club is just a distant idea.. or maybe we could all join up with the NPOC UK. Currently I thought I was the only one there, cus I couldn't see any other members from this neck of the woods. Just got to know that Ash is also a member, so that makes two of us. Ash: why don't you tag your location on their map. I have done so.. Devinda: Thanks very much for the FB link
  19. Hop aboard mate... I was just like you; an enthusiast at first and could not get my eyes off them. Finally ended up getting a beauty for myself.. I hope we can get enough enthusiasts to seriously form a club and share our experiences. Guess the admins would not consider this is against the forum rules.. Sorry MADZ if it is so..
  20. Well that makes two "honorary" members as of now... We are off to a flying start...
  21. Here is the link to the Nissan Primera Owners Club in UK. http://www.npoc.co.uk/ Quite a good place to get info on Primeras since there aren't many users in Sri Lanka alone. Well, if there are enough members we could start our own club.. What would the Primera owners in the forum say...
  22. Please accept my deepest sympathies..
  23. To get back on track, here is a bit of history.. In the early days the numbers to whom messages were sent were displayed in the bill... But soon enough trouble emerged cos most of the big shots got their hidden deeds unraveled So out came the practice of not showing the recipients number. But you can still get it upon request while your wives can not peek at your message recipients.. (which solves the problem more or less)
  24. Wish you a fantastic birthday buddy..
  25. King... What King...? If he is the king of Jaffna, then I am the next in line to be the king of Sri Jayawardenapura Lost dynasty... bloodline.. legacy of the forebears... you know what I mean.. How the internet can create kings out of idiots..
