  1. MD, that 's a valid explanation to the middle of the road, 30kmph road hogs! I wonder why don't they buy a Tata nano (a manageable sized car), deposit the savings in an FD and pump fuel from the interest. Easier to drive, fuel bill settled, and most of all... the rest of the road users are free from the misery they otherwise cause.
  2. Let me guess... the Prius was hogging the runway too?
  3. Komi's patience should be praised! I myself won't be able to wait like this. I remember fighting with my painter and bringing the half done car home once (or twice) and the guy coming back and taking it back to the garage to finish the job. From the photos I guess the end result would worth the wait!
  4. I'd pay to see that done! as long as the EMP only affect the road-hogs!
  5. Today also I was stuck in the traffic. Overtaking the long line of vehicles, guess what was at the forefront of it? yes, it was yet another Hybrid owner doing 30kmph in the middle of the road. Don't understand what converts Hybrid drivers to do this! Can't be gas money, as hybrid cars are not cheap.
  6. I guess someone who wants to use a hybrid needs no convincing. Just go and buy the car and use it!
  7. Installed. Plots the path. But voice assist is not accurate.
  8. These chairs are available at Arp**o. The other day I was at the furniture section and strangely I ended at these chairs... Whoever made these have a good understanding of how to get the attention of car enthusiasts!
  9. simply
  10. WOW! Congratulations! The phase of completion is simply impressive! And the end result looks really good!
  11. Gosh! man you had a narrow escape there! Had they caught you they would've lashed you
  12. Just going through all this because my sister asked me to. Anyway... if I ever meet her friend in person, I will tell the 'doctor's orders' about stress release...
  13. Before not knowing jag about Capri's kill me... just my three cents... BTW Hoonigan... Congrats on the buy and best of luck on the project!
  14. Isn't it already kinda like that?
  15. It took a while for me to remember... 'My sister's Hot Friend' Oh I so wish it would be...
  16. I sure do hope so. But I have never met her so, dunno
  17. Sorry bro. The info is not for me. But for a friend of my sis. Hope they'd bring down something worthwhile for the permit.
  18. My bad. I thought Blue Permit refers to the Gift Scheme. Thanks to Hoonigan for correcting my mistake.
  19. Its better you talk to the Department of Imports & Exports Control and see whether you can import the car, if you meet the deposit requirements. It would suggest you have earned while you study.
  20. You can get the information here: * http://www.gic.gov.lk/gic/index.php?option=com_info&id=415&task=info〈=en * http://www.gic.gov.lk/gic/index.php?option=com_info&id=415&task=info〈=si * http://www.imexport.gov.lk/web/images/PDF_upload/publications/pub02.pdf The information provided in the site and the pdf have a few discrepancies. Probably due to laws being amended from time to time. It is best to contact the Department of Imports & Exports Control and get the latest info.
  21. john cooper, I don't think OP is asking about Blue Permits. And yes the Blue Permits are no longer granted.
  22. Talk about being lucky. Somewhere down the line someone thought that lines are bad and filled them with putty. Can't blame the guy, coz all he did was burring the treasures for Komi to find!
  23. If the rust has not eaten into the metal and weakened it totally, you can get it cleaned, painted and get the under-coating re-done with a brand like W*rth or 3M. If the metal cannot be salvaged, I'm afraid you may need to get a 'tinker bass' to replace the metal. Afterwards, you can get the paintwork and under-coating done. I'm afraid either option is not DYI if you don't have the metalworking/painting equipment and skills. Depending on the place of rust and the extent of damage, it might affect the structural integrity of the chassis as well. Best is to show the damage and get the opinion of a professional.
